There's no need to guess at colors, you can run a URL through this form Test Colors to find out what your color combination looks like to people with various types of color blindness. Most colorblindness is caused by a deficiency in red or green, or the absence of one of them. Other types of color blindness occur less frequently. The percentage of the population that is color blind varies geographically. Monochrome vision is so rare it probably doesn't need to be accommodated.
