Thanks!![edit]

For your 102nd Division expansions!! Buckshot06 (talk) 21:09, 29 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Many thanks for your continuing work on 102nd Div. Because of the serial IP fantasist, Philippine World War II divisions are vulnerable to distorted data. Thus the more you add to any of these division articles, the less likely that the fantasist will be able to go unnoticed. Keep at it!!- many thanks. Buckshot06 (talk) 21:42, 2 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, I have watchlisted most of the affected pages. Sadly the IP was so persistent as there are still 200+ spurious mentions of the "PCA" in articles that remain uncorrected, mostly now in province and town articles as I have removed most of the military article hoaxes. Kges1901 (talk) 02:03, 3 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Great. Whenever you like, feel free to work on User:Buckshot06/9th_Military_District_(Philippines), a few notes about a real organisation of the Philippine resistence. Buckshot06 (talk) 03:11, 3 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Replaceable fair use File:German Tarasov.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:German Tarasov.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{Di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
  2. On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Magog the Ogre (tc) 02:07, 7 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Heroes of the Soviet Union Lists[edit]

Hi! I'm working on creating lists of Heroes of the Soviet Union by the first letter of their last name (I'm on B right now). Because there were so many, would you please consider taking on a few of the lists? Maybe we could even create a joint sandbox to work on the lists faster. You seem to write a lot about Heroes of the Soviet Union and I wish to create the lists so that those articles are not orphans/unlinked.--PlanespotterA320 (talk) 22:32, 15 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@PlanespotterA320: Hello, I would be fine with taking a few of the lists, and with working on them in a joint sandbox. Kges1901 (talk) 23:59, 15 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Special Reserve GAN[edit]

Hi. Thanks for reviewing Special Reserve. Much appreciated. You passed the article, but Legobot posted a message to my TP telling me that it failed. No biggie, just curious. Factotem (talk) 08:18, 16 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

It must be a technical glitch, because failing a GA requires entirely different code than the code I entered. Kges1901 (talk) 09:53, 16 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
OK. Thanks. I dropped a note on the legobot TP about it. Cheers. Factotem (talk) 10:24, 16 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Select Survey Invite[edit]

I'm working on a study of political motivations and how they affect editing. I'd like to ask you to take a survey. The survey should take no more than 1-2 minutes. Your survey responses will be kept private. Our project is documented at https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Research:Wikipedia_%2B_Politics.

Your survey Link: https://uchicago.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_9S3JByWf57fXEkR?Q_DL=56np5HpEZWkMlr7_9S3JByWf57fXEkR_MLRP_cFIh6abGacfLWWV&Q_CHL=gl

I am asking you to participate in this study because you are a frequent editor of pages on Wikipedia that are of political interest. We would like to learn about your experiences in dealing with editors of different political orientations.

Sincere thanks for your help! Porteclefs (talk) 12:39, 16 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

DYK for 116th Infantry Regiment (United States)[edit]

On 25 April 2018, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article 116th Infantry Regiment (United States), which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that the US Army's 116th Infantry Regiment has battle honors for fighting against the United States? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/116th Infantry Regiment (United States). You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, 116th Infantry Regiment (United States)), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Hi, your DYK hook stirred up a hornet's nest at WP:ERRORS and was pulled. See discussion here. Yoninah (talk) 20:42, 25 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
