Yep, I might have to fix some of the sources up later. Do you think Apunkachoice is a reliable source. Deepika was initially meant to do Happy New Year instead of Om Shanti Om, but that was shelved later. Though I'm not sure which source to use. Here are a couple of sources I found.
[1]- this is Farah Khan directly saying that Deepika was going to be in Happy New Year, but it's Q&A with fans. I'm thinking this is the best source
[2]- directly says that this was meant to be Deepika's Bollywood debut
[3]-interview with Deepika, so direct, but it is a blog, sooo..
[4]-website doesn't seem reliable
[5]-here, it says she was "reportedly" offered the film
[6]-doesn't seem reliable

Hey just my two cents. PAdukone is fine, however, Ranbir's article needs much more polish for FA. I mean even content wise also both feel a little too premature. This is my two cents based on the assumption that you plan to immediately take them to FAC, if not, please feel free to ignore my suggesntion Smaro. Also, can you give your eyes over the Ranveer Singh article and add your dollar? It is GA but still somehow I feel like its lacking depth. I'll try my best, although it's pretty hard to find stuff on charities. Those were the only 2 points I could find, but I'll try again anyway :) Would auctioning off clothes worn in her films count (eg. the Dum Maaro Dum skirt, and Chennai Express clothes)? AB01 (talk) 17:42, 11 August 2013 (UTC)

Excellent, thanks. If there's one actress I could get up to GA it would either be Claudia Cardinale or Audrey Hepburn. I'm thinking of working on The Great Ziegfeld for GA, it's a brilliant film and I can think of no other film which better reflects "Golden Hollywood". Luise Rainer's performance in it is one of the most deserving Oscars!! It would be good actually to get every Academy Award-winning film up to GA at some point.♦ Dr. Blofeld 16:09, 19 August 2013 (UTC)

Watch this, just click the arrow down the bottom, don't download anything it should just play. One of the best films of all time in my opinion (easily in my top 5 best films ever), certainly the finest soundtrack of any film. 28:14 is one of my favourite moments in cinematic history, the rising above representing the development of the old west and the music. The music with the wind and her finding them dead at 47:28 is so moving. I'd love to get a film like Roman Holiday up to GA.♦ Dr. Blofeld 10:29, 23 August 2013 (UTC)

It is. Guns of Navarone and Man in the Grey Flannel Suit are also very good. I've begun watching every Academy Award winner since 1927, I've reached 1947 currently, I'm watching Gentleman's Agreement later which won in 1947. I thought the 1946 winner Best Years of Our Lives was really boring and overrated (and I usually agree with Roger Ebert on most movies). It got better towards the end but I found it exceedingly dull and I think a big part of the reaosn why it won 7 Academy Awards was because it was about soldiers returning home from World War II, a theme which was very relevant to the time. Funnily enough is was directed by the same director as Roman Holiday, go figure LOL!! I has a 97% rating on Rotten Tomatoes which seems bizarre to me. I didn't think Citizen Kane was that brilliant either.. I thought Hitchcock's Rebecca of the same year which one the Oscar was a much superior picture.♦ Dr. Blofeld 11:28, 23 August 2013 (UTC)
