Needed your opinion

Hey Smaro! I needed your opinion. On Kapoor's article, it currently mentions that JWM established her as a leading actress of Bollywood, but I came across sources that state that it was back in 2001 that she became a leading actress (primarily due to the success of MKKH and K3G, as well as her performance in Asoka) here, here, here, here and here. Do you think we should change it? If we do, we'll have to re-write the lead as well. This is what I have come up with so far. -- Bollywood Dreamz ^talk 19:14, 13 February 2014 (UTC)

Would love to collaborate with you on that one. :) BTW, I don't think it makes sense to have the "production and direction" section since most if not all the films have featured Khan in them. I ask myself this every time... LOL. She says that she wants to do good films, but then turns them down when she's offered them. Quite literally "a bundle of contradictions". BTW, I don't think she was offered Queen; it's probably a bunch of hogwash. I think Vikas Bahl has said that Kangana was his only choice. With Black, it was due to Mr. Bachchan; after Abhishek and Karisma broke off their engagement things weren't too good with the family. Rajeshbieee (talk) 21:19, 28 March 2014 (UTC)::: See, Salman was never given the award for the best debut male ( it was called as Most sensational debut at that time ) and the award was given to Sooraj Barjatya instead. Filmfare said that Salman has already done a film earlier ( Biwi Ho to Aisi ), so the debut award cannot be given to him, ( eventhough the award title is "most sensational debut", which is infact Salman only ). But Filmfare forgot to explain why Aamir Khan was given the same award for QSQT one year earlier, eventhough he has appeared in Ketan Mehta's Holi earlier.

The decision of Filmfare infact created a controversy and they never gave the right explanation on this, moreover in future issues on Awards special, nothing was mentioned on this. But after 14-15 years, Filmfare presented an award to Salman ( not in any function ) for Best debut 1989. This was printed as a 2 column small article with Salman's photo also updated. Most of the people do not know about this issue and you people would have believed it now as the youtube video provided revealed the "truth". Its we people's job ( editor's ) to update information truthfully and neutrally. Additionally all the filmfare awards section ( in wikipedia ) is wrong as it has given wrong year. eg: For a film released in 2009, the award should be mentioned as 2009 only and not "Award for 2010". The award was "practically" handed over to the person in the next year only, but that does n't mean that the award is given for the next year.

Thank you very much! I think since Wikipedia is one of the websites that pop up in most people's searches and since the Academy Awards are a hallmark of pop culture (regardless of what anyone thinks), I believe that the Oscars deserves fair, comprehensive, unbiased, and subjective coverage here so that at least the media who do look up on this website at least know that they are getting somewhat reliable material.

still not on any solid ground

This source [1] isnt any better. All it does is give the arbitrary verdict "semi hit". (and wtf is a "semi hit"? - even BOI cannot even give you a valid answer for what they mean by any "verdict" rating as they give "semi hit" ratings to films that have greater box office nett and gross than to films they give the supposedly higher "hit" rating too)

@Jim Cartar: Haha, I am no expert, I was just providing my opinion on the fact that the article needs a lot more work. The awards and nominations list is not a very good one. Check out Shahrukh Khan filmography that I recently expanded, and nominated for FL. All claims must be cited with a WP:RS. And WP:OVERLINK doesn't apply to removing links for film titles, but applies to linking common English words and linking the same thing more than once. Again, I really appreciate the work you were doing on Khan's article, but I just don't think it's ready for GA yet. I hope we can collaborate on an article in the future.
