Proposed deletion of Harald Seeger[edit]

The article Harald Seeger has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

The coverage (references, external links, etc.) does not seem sufficient to justify this article passing Wikipedia:General notability guideline and the more detailed Wikipedia:Notability (biographies) requirement. If you disagree and deprod this, please explain how it meets them on the talk page in the form of "This article meets criteria A and B because..." and ping me back. Thank you,

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Re: Ana Marija Sola[edit]

No worries. We all get frustrated sometimes. Just don't vent it at others on the 'pedia in future. That being said, the let me take a moment to explain why I've put this article up for deletion. To have an article on Wikipedia a subject must meet certain inclusion criteria called notability. For soccer players, there are two relevant notability guidelines. First is the general notability guideline, which says that any subject that has received significant coverage in reliable sources is presumed to be notable. In the context of soccer, significant coverage does not include routine sports coverage like the player profile cited in the article, match reports, squad lists, transfer announcements and speculation, etc. In fact, it is very rare for soccer players to meet this guideline without meeting the other relevant guideline first. Second is the soccer specific notability guideline, which says that a soccer player is notable if they've played for their country's senior national team or in one of the fully professional leagues listed here. You'll note that the WPSL appears on the list under Top level leagues which are not fully professional. While there is undoubtedly some degree of professionalism in the league, it does not meet the more stringent criteria of full professionalism required for its players to meet the notability guideline. I hope that clears things up.

On a completely unrelated note, please remember to sign you talk page comments by typing four tildes (~~~~) after them. Doing this will add your username and the time and date to the end of the comment, making it a lot easier to keep track of who said what and when. Happy editing. Sergei Javorsky moved to draftspace[edit]

An article you recently created, Sergei Javorsky, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Player statistics[edit]

Hi, I have had to revert a number of changes you made to articles for Dundee United players based on a misunderstanding of the statistics. The infobox on a Wikipedia contains appearances and goals for league matches only. On the Arab Archive website, the default view shows you stats for all competitive games, you would need to filter by league only to get the correct figures. Hope this helps.
