Welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you enjoy the encyclopedia and want to stay. Before getting too in-depth, you may want to read about the simplified ruleset. There are thousands of ways to get help on Wikipedia, and I personally recommend the Wikipedia:Boot_Camp, where you can even chat online with fellow Wikipedians willing to help! In addition, Wikipedia also has thousands of pages dedicated to the use of Wikipedia, for example, if you need help on how to title new articles check out the naming conventions, and for help on formatting the pages visit the manual of style. Also, feel free to post them on my user talk page - I'm happy to answer any questions you have.

Additional tips[edit]
Here are some extra tips to help you get around in Wikipedia:
- If you want to play around with your new Wiki skills the Sandbox is for you.
- You can sign your name using three tildes (~). If you use four, you can add a datestamp too. If your keyboard doesn't have tildes (or for whatever reason) you can also click the
button on the bar above the editing section. - You may want to add yourself to the new user log.
- If you ever think a page or image should be deleted, please list it at the votes for deletion page. There is also a votes for undeletion page if you want to retrieve something that you think should not have been deleted.
- If you're still entirely confused, or would like to get a better grasp of your wikipedia skills, and you have an IRC client (or don't mind getting one), check out the Bootcamp. It's not what it sounds like, but it is fun and can help you with your editing skills.

The Deletion of Your Page[edit]
Hey, I noticed that one of your pages had been nominated for deletion, and you choose to contest it. I really want to congradulate you on being active in Wikipedia like that - and while I'm not sure if that article is encyclopedic, that's for the Wikipedia community (which includes us!) to decide. Speedy deletion nomination of Hockey Fights Cancer[edit]
A tag has been placed on Hockey Fights Cancer requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for organizations and companies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you.
