August 2017[edit]

Information icon Please do not add or change content, as you did at James Michael McAdoo, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. DaHuzyBru (talk) 06:11, 27 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop adding unsourced content, as you did to James Michael McAdoo. This contravenes Wikipedia's policy on verifiability. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. —Bagumba (talk) 00:21, 28 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

I noticed your recent edit to Magic Johnson does not have an edit summary. Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.

Edit summary content is visible in:

Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. You can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → check Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary. Thanks! —Bagumba (talk) 00:24, 28 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Regarding your edits to Magic Johnson, please use the preview button before you save your edit; this helps you find any errors you have made, reduces edit conflicts, and prevents clogging up recent changes and the page history. Below the edit box is a Show preview button. Pressing this will show you what the article will look like without actually saving it.

The "show preview" button is right next to the "save page" button and below the edit summary field.

It is strongly recommended that you use this before saving. If you have any questions, contact the help desk for assistance. Your infobox changes are introducing bad formatting, which you can detect and fix before saving.Bagumba (talk) 00:26, 28 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop making disruptive edits, as you did at Isaiah Thomas (basketball).

If you continue to disrupt Wikipedia, you may be blocked from editing. Please stop making unexplained edits that also introduce formatting errors to the infobox that can be detected by doing a preview.Bagumba (talk) 18:17, 28 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

September 2017[edit]

Stop icon with clock
You have been blocked from editing for a period of 31 hours for persistent unsourced edits and introducing infobox display issues, as you did at James Michael McAdoo. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  —Bagumba (talk) 00:22, 9 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 2 weeks for continuing to introduce infobox display issues, as you did at Andrew Bogut. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  —Bagumba (talk) 08:54, 19 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Not sure if you have been aware of your talk page messages. You can have the block reduced or even removed if you acknowledge in your unblock appeal that you are aware of your talk page messages and the concerns raised regarding using the preview button to prevent the infobox formatting issues that you have been continually introducing.—Bagumba (talk) 08:59, 19 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
As you are using Wikipedia's VisualEditor, you would use "Review your changes" to review your edits (as opposed to a "Preview" button in the source editor). See Wikipedia:VisualEditor/User_guide#Saving_changes for more details about saving your reviewing your changes in the Visual Editor.—Bagumba (talk) 13:07, 25 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
