November 2022[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Yeeno. I noticed that you made an edit concerning content related to a living (or recently deceased) person on Jon Foster, but you didn't support your changes with a citation to a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now. Wikipedia has a very strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate and clear. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you! Yeeno (talk) 04:49, 5 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Sara Lewis moved to draftspace[edit]

It appears that you may have a conflict of interest with the subject of Sara Lewis, and as such you should submit this article to be published through the Articles for Creation process. Before editing the article further, please first disclose on your user page and on the article's Talk page whether you have received money to write this or other articles on Wikipedia, or if you have any other kind of conflict of interest concerning the subject. I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. Before submitting, you should make sure that the article is fully compliant with Wikipedia’s neutrality and verifiability policies, as well as our notability guidelines. When you’re ready, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. This process is encouraged, but optional. If you choose not to participate in it, you can remove the AfC template and move the article back to mainspace. You should also consider reaching out to the Teahouse for additional feedback and aid from experienced editors. signed, Rosguill talk 22:28, 7 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

COI[edit]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you recently removed maintenance templates from Sara Lewis. When removing maintenance templates, please be sure to either resolve the problem that the template refers to, or give a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Please see Help:Maintenance template removal for further information on when maintenance templates should or should not be removed. If this was a mistake, don't worry, as your removal of this template has been reverted. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox.

Please do not continue to remove the COI notice without addressing the issue and responding to the earlier messages at this talk page. To do so could be seen as edit warring or disruptive and ultimately lead to the loss of editing privileges. Thank you. Eagleash (talk) 02:45, 9 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Still editing[edit]

Hello. Do you have any association with Tufts University? After your account was auto-confirmed, most of your edits seem to relate to it. Regards, MrsSnoozyTurtle 00:34, 30 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hello again. Please do not ignore this request. I note that you have made other edits in the meantime. Regards, MrsSnoozyTurtle 00:32, 31 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Hi! No I do not, thank you for reaching out.

Is this your image and you still own the copyright for it [1]? Regards, MrsSnoozyTurtle 23:41, 7 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hi! Yes, I own any/all images that are featured in this page. Regards, Lindakeb (talk) 23:57, 7 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you. MrsSnoozyTurtle 00:35, 8 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
That seems quite unlikely, as it would require you to be two different people. This image lists one person as the credit in the metadata, while This one lists an entirely different person. I'd also ask, if you have no connection to Tufts or the subjects of these articles, why you happen to have taken what appear to be personal snapshots of Sergei Mirkin and Kelly McLaughlin? BubbaJoe123456 (talk) 19:11, 9 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Kelly McLaughlin requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://as.tufts.edu/biology/mclaughlin-lab/about, https://www.frontiersin.org/articles/10.3389/fnsys.2022.768201/full, and https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/28818840/. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Kelly McLaughlin moved to draftspace[edit]

An article you recently created, Kelly McLaughlin, is not suitable as written to remain published. It appears there is a WP:UPE or WP:COI conflict. Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, and have addressed the UPE/COI issue, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. As per WP policy, please do not move into mainspace yourself. Onel5969 TT me 13:05, 6 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
