Font tag in signature

Hello, you have reverted me changing font tag to span in your signature in files. Font tags generate error and gets listed in Special:LintErrors/obsolete-tag. I have been clearing this in file namespace. I take care and make sure to preserve the visual appearance and change only the html markup. Gnomes and bots have been doing this for a long time. Font tags are obsolete in HTML5 and support for them will be dropped by browsers in future. We are preparing for this transition by preempting the negative effects before it happens. See WP:HTML5. So please don't revert this saying problem doesn't exist. It just gets readded to error reports until font tag is replaced. ಮಲ್ನಾಡಾಚ್ ಕೊಂಕ್ಣೊ (talk) 14:53, 1 July 2021 (UTC)

Lots of techno-waffle and busy work in the same vien of the CS1 errors that were a problem to the grand total of nobody. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 15:13, 1 July 2021 (UTC)
This is different from CS1 errors since this is outside the control of Mediawiki. I can understand that this may seem like busywork, but it is a "prevention is better than cure" situation. These edits will make sure your signature display as you intend when the change happens. So are you going to revert further? If you wish I can ignore replacing your signature, but someone else will eventually do the same. ಮಲ್ನಾಡಾಚ್ ಕೊಂಕ್ಣೊ (talk) 15:30, 1 July 2021 (UTC)

2021–22 Indian domestic cricket season

Hi, for 2021-22 Ranji Trophy and Vijay Hazare Trophy, there will be more than 4 months as you said. Though, the nearer tournament is 2021–22 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. I edited the main tournament page and group pages. Please have a look at it for review and approval. Thanks :-) Kirubar (talk) 14:08, 3 July 2021 (UTC)

Hi. Thanks for this. Looks fine, but I'd redirect the group stages to the main article for now. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 14:21, 3 July 2021 (UTC)

Ok fine. Thanks. Kirubar (talk) 14:23, 3 July 2021 (UTC)

I understand group pages redirect to main pages, it's fine. Sorry for disturbing you again. Please, tell me. Now I realize that I created 2021-22 Ranji Trophy, instead 2021–22 Ranji Trophy (likewise for Vijay Hazare Trophy). Now, I listen "-" and "–". So only, it got redirected, I guess. Is this the one you called, placeholder? Am I really guess the right reason? Kirubar (talk) 14:43, 3 July 2021 (UTC)

Yes, that's fine now. I think they were just empty shells of articles, with literally an infobox and nothing else. No worries, all fixed now. Thanks. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 14:49, 3 July 2021 (UTC)

Ok, Thanks :-) Kirubar (talk) 14:59, 3 July 2021 (UTC)

International call-ups

Hi mate, have tried to add notes for all the team changes on 2021 County Championship. May look a bit messy and I may have missed something so may want to check. Also a fair few FC debuts that I've added because of the changes. Thanks. Rugbyfan22 (talk) 10:16, 6 July 2021 (UTC)

Hi! Thanks for the heads-up - wow, what a mess (not your edits)! I've picked up the two new debuts, and will work through the rest shortly. And thanks for updating yesterday when that match started one day after the others - I'd forgotten all about it. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 10:43, 6 July 2021 (UTC)
I've added content to Josh de Caires, as he made his debut yesterday. I had a draft for it, but missed that he'd debuted. So merged the content into your article- hope that's all fine. Joseph2302 (talk) 10:50, 6 July 2021 (UTC)
@Joseph2302: Was wondering if it needed moving to Josh De Caires, I've seen both stylisations used, but De Caires does seem to be used a bit more and would then link to his grandfather's surname. Rugbyfan22 (talk) 10:57, 6 July 2021 (UTC)
Thanks both. Yes, I've seen Josh De Caires and Josh de Caires in different sources, but not 100% sure which one is correct. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 11:11, 6 July 2021 (UTC)
Middlesex, ESPN, ECB and CA seem to use De Caires, but his personal twitter account uses de Caires. Obviously when just the surname is used (e.g. in navbox) De Caires is capitalised anyway. Rugbyfan22 (talk) 11:15, 6 July 2021 (UTC)
Most news sources seem to spell it as de Caires. Cricinfo profile being an exception (though they use de Caires in articles last year). Interestingly, Cricinfo also uses Frank de Caires with lower d, [1]. Also, his grandfather David de Caires (haven't got a source directly linking the two, but it's obvious, as he's Frank's son) also seems to use lower case d . Joseph2302 (talk) 11:18, 6 July 2021 (UTC)
Hi - I have a direct contact at Cricinfo who is really appreciative of feedback regarding player name spelling/capitalisation/format, duplicate profiles etc. Let me know if you have some obvious errors that I can pass on. Bs1jac (talk) 10:58, 7 July 2021 (UTC)

ICC Trophies

Hey Man just wanted to check a few things with you. First of all in the International Cricket page, under the leaderbord of teams who have won ICC trophies, what is the exact criteria to rank teams with the same no. of trophies? I've ranked them for now based on who has played in more finals, but wanted to make sure if that was okay. Also, in the wiki pages of the national cricket teams, only their appearances and performances in the WTC, ODI WC and T20I WC are listed(inside the box thingy right at the start of the pages). Shouldn't the Champions Trophy be included too, atleast for the 8 major teams with ICC trophies? Please let me know what you think. Samudragupta007 (talk) 22:50, 6 July 2021 (UTC)

Hi. The short answer is: I don't know. If you ask at WT:CRIC, you'll might find someone with more knowledge of this. Thanks. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 06:55, 7 July 2021 (UTC)

Germany v France women's T20I series venue

Hi. For the Germany-France women's series, Cricinfo have the venue as Bayer Uerdingen Cricket Ground in Krefeld (Germany had simply announced it as their national performance centre). Someone has tagged it to link to a page in German Wiki. Do you think it is worth creating an English entry based on the info there (and if so, would you mind doing the honours)? Not entirely sure it is exactly the same ground though. Bs1jac (talk) 11:04, 7 July 2021 (UTC)

Hi. Yes, I was looking at this yesterday, and like yourself, I'm not 100% sure if it's the same ground. I'll do some more checks and create the article if I find anything! Thanks. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 11:07, 7 July 2021 (UTC)
Just remembered this. There is a connection between the German Cricket Board and the football team SC Bayer 05 Uerdingen, which is in Wiki as KFC Uerdingen 05. But I suspect the cricket will be on a ground linked with the football stadium complex, but not actually the same ground. Bs1jac (talk) 11:19, 7 July 2021 (UTC)

Polite request

Hi,

Can I politely request you to please let me update the grounds list as I was doing it. It seems as if the moment i log in to to that update you have already done it. No offence meant. Just a polite request. Ankurc.17 (talk) 12:06, 8 July 2021 (UTC)

Violation of SafeSport Code vs violation of criminal law

Criminal law (the body of law that relates to crime) is distinct from civil law (non-criminal law). (For editors without legal training, consider the OJ criminal and civil verdicts, both based on the same event, with different outcomes). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/O._J._Simpson_murder_case#Civil_trial

SafeSport is civil. Not criminal.

The SafeSport Code states unambiguously at Section XI(E)(1), for the benefit of those unfamiliar with this distinction: "the standards for finding a violation of criminal law are different from the standards for finding a violation of the Code".

A SafeSport Code accusation is not an accusation of a crime. But of a breach of the civil Code.

SafeSport Code rules are not criminal laws. They involve an entirely different standard of proof, as well. And entirely different penalties. A breach of an organization's civil rules, which is a civil matter, is not a breach of the criminal law-and blp:crime is concerned with crimes.

Thus, one can be in breach of SafeSports rules, and thereby subject to suspension from the sports governed by SafeSport rules, without being at all guilty of a crime. That's confusing to those not trained in the law, I will grant you, and it would appear to some wp editors, just as different verdicts in the OJ civil and criminal trials can be confusing. But upon being informed one need merely take a look at the SafeSport rules and criminal law to understand it.

The USOPC, NGB, and LAO are responsible for enforcing eligibility determinations, sanctions and Temporary Measures imposed by SafeSport. See 36 USC § 220505(d)(1)(C). That is a civil law. Not a criminal law. And under it, an athlete who has not been charged or found guilty of the crime of sexual misconduct, for example, can be found guilty of breaching the SafeSport Code rules as to sexual misconduct -- and thereby barred from competing in the Olympics. 2603:7000:2143:8500:B537:D8C7:3373:32F0 (talk) 05:34, 9 July 2021 (UTC)

Frustrated

Hi Lugnuts, I know you're getting frustrated but you need to tone it down as well when dealing with A. A. Prinon. I don't have the time to intervene in every dispute so if you believe you have legitimate issues coming up again, please address it by taking it to the appropriate noticeboard rather than taking it out on the other user. Sasquatch t|c 08:19, 11 July 2021 (UTC)

I have reviewed the edits further and agree A.A Prinon does not seem to be getting the point on what the problem was in the first place. I have put an indef block back in place as it clearly isn't working out. Sasquatch t|c 18:09, 11 July 2021 (UTC)

Hey mate, thanks for the Barnstar and nice words about the James Gooden article. Removing Stub template

Hi there. Sorry to disturb you again. Hope you are not bothered. I wanted to ask you a question that is, how do I remove stub template from an article? You can also remove it by yourself if you want. Thank you. 👉Chynapras👈 (talk) 09:17, 15 July 2021 (UTC)

Talk header

Hi Lugnuts: Since you create a plethora of articles, when creating the talk pages, consider including the {{Talk header}} template. The template includes a "Find sources" parameter that makes it easier for editors to search for sources, and therefore easier to improve articles. This is not a criticism whatsoever, just a friendly suggestion for you to consider. All the best, North America1000 04:43, 16 July 2021 (UTC)

@Northamerica1000: thanks for this. All my time here, I didn't know the true purpose of that tag! I thought it was self-referential stating "this is a talk page"! Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 06:48, 16 July 2021 (UTC)
The Find sources stuff was added later, after some merge discussions. I'm still hoping an actual full merge will occur that includes Template:Friendly search suggestions, as per this discussion at TfD. A decent amount of work went into the FSS template, and it makes no sense for advanced search options to be lost in the mix because it would make the Talk header template look "cluttered", or some nonsense like that. If the merge doesn't occur, all it does is dumb down the encyclopedia for editors, adding in more steps and work to find sources to improve articles. All of the innovation is lost in favor of reducing "clutter". Ass backwards, in my opinion, so hopefully the actual full merge occurs, as was the consensus. North America1000 13:21, 16 July 2021 (UTC)

Film categories

If you watch Categories for Discussion often, you will see that I nominated a category on Western drama films for merging. I was wondering if you could give your opinion. My OCD is worried that it might not be a good nomination. Scorpions13256 (talk) 18:33, 18 July 2021 (UTC)

Also, I would like to clarify that I would support giving you back your Autopatrolled rights by the end of the year should you continue doing what you are doing. Sorry if I wasn't clear about that on ANI. Scorpions13256 (talk) 18:33, 18 July 2021 (UTC)

Vortex

Information icon Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give Draft:Untitled Gaspar Noé film a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into Vortex (2021 film). This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases for registered users, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. BRVAFL (talk) 14:33, 21 July 2021 (UTC)

Player of the Match notability

Hey! I was just going a couple of individual cricketer articles (e.g. Deepak Chahar) and I noticed a lot of mention of player of the match/series. Is this notable/good enough to keep on wiki, especially on individual player articles? Thanks! Raps19 (talk) 03:18, 23 July 2021 (UTC)

Hey! If it's in well-written prose and the source is something other than the match scorecard, that's OK. I'd try to tie it into something more quantifiable, such as scoring a century, or taking five-wickets, for example, otherwise it becomes quite trivial. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 06:43, 23 July 2021 (UTC)

Erich Woitke

Hi Lugnuts. The article on Erich Woitke, a German WW2 fighter ace, claims that he competed in the decathlon at the 1936 Olympics. Can you verify whether this is true or not? Lettlerhellocontribs 06:18, 23 July 2021 (UTC)

@Lettler: - no he didn't compete, per this. He's not even listed as a non-starter. The info was added to the article by the second edit to the page, by an IP back in 2008(!) Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 06:49, 23 July 2021 (UTC)

Strange. I was doubtful he was actually a competitor (no listing on Olympedia) , but I had been wondering if you knew if he was a competitor. Lettlerhellocontribs 06:51, 23 July 2021 (UTC)

2020-2023 ICC World Cup Super League standings table

Hey. Sorry to bother you again. In the 2020-2023 ICC World Cup Super League article [3], I wanted to add "Penalty Overs" to the points table, which is how ICC has done it on their website [4]. However, when I go to edit it, there is no option to add a column or even change any data in the table. It only shows {2020–23 ICC Cricket World Cup Super League Table} (there's actually 2 curly quotes but I didn't know how to paste the code without the entire table popping up lol). The fact was ... that English cricketer Josh de Caires, the son of former England captain Michael Atherton, was given his mother's maiden name at birth, and he does not know why? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Josh de Caires. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Josh de Caires), and if they received a combined total of at least 416.7 views per hour (i.e., 5,000 views in 12 hours or 10,000 in 24), the hook may be added to the statistics page. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

YOBs

Referenced at other language Wikipedia articles, thanks for your concern. GiantSnowman 18:02, 26 July 2021 (UTC)

Also if you have concerns, why not raise them about edits like this, why focus on me? GiantSnowman 18:04, 26 July 2021 (UTC)
@GiantSnowman: You do know that another language WP is not a a WP:RS, per WP:CIRC? Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 18:04, 26 July 2021 (UTC)
Absolutely. But perhaps you could try improving Wikipedia by finding sources? GiantSnowman 18:08, 26 July 2021 (UTC)
@GiantSnowman: The other guy hasn't been here since 2006 and isn't an admin either, so why are you adding unsourced content to articles? Why is that OK? Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 18:14, 26 July 2021 (UTC)
But it's not unsourced. Also your ping didn't work, and your edit summaries are misleading and entirely inappropriate. If you have genuine concerns then raise at ANI immediately, otherwise drop it. GiantSnowman 18:22, 26 July 2021 (UTC)
@GiantSnowman: Yes it was unsourced when you created it! So why have you added it to the two articles I've mentioned on your talkpage, along with others too? Please stop adding unsourced content - you should know better. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 18:24, 26 July 2021 (UTC)
Yes of course I'll take more care in future - but I won't take any advice on editing from you, thanks. GiantSnowman 18:30, 26 July 2021 (UTC)
Typical snarky comments from this editor - unable, or unwilling to admit obvious mistakes as this shows. Doesn't want to admit that they've been adding unsourced content, or content taken from other wikis (!) for some time. Shame. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 18:32, 26 July 2021 (UTC)
No, it was a mistake - but only that. Not deliberate, not malicious, just an error when including sources after multiple had been reviewed, now rectified. So what's your beef? GiantSnowman 18:35, 26 July 2021 (UTC)
Well you've been making multiple mistakes for some time across many similar arictles. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 18:36, 26 July 2021 (UTC)
Well like I said, if there are genuine concerns here, please raise at ANI - but why haven't you flagged it previously? Or were you not bothered until, for whatever reason, you decided to target me this evening? GiantSnowman 18:39, 26 July 2021 (UTC)
Well I assumed good faith, and thought the earlier mistakes were not going to be repeated. So I've flagged it now. Obviously if your poor behaviour in this area continues, then it'll go to ANI. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 18:41, 26 July 2021 (UTC)

Edit Revert Question

Hi Lugnuts,

Just wondering why the edit on Gustav Östling was reverted? I had noticed there was no Sweden link since I was just randomly browsing links and when I went to visit it next I saw there was no link to the Swedish article. I'm pretty new to this so just wondering what the reasoning was.

Mesidast (talk) 00:03, 27 July 2021 (UTC)

@Mesidast: - we don't normally link to common terms/places, such as Sweden, per WP:OVERLINK. Hope that helps. Thanks. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 06:28, 27 July 2021 (UTC)

A reminder to be careful of genders when creating Olympian athletes pages. Eline Berger is a female rower competing in the men's eight event. In rowing, the coxswain can be of any gender, regardless of the gender of the race they're in. JTtheOG (talk) 03:29, 27 July 2021 (UTC)

India Tour Of Sri Lanka 2021

Hi. We only strike out names for people who were selected and then were forced to withdraw from the squad without playing any matches. Take a look at any previous tour article to see how this works. Thanks. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 18:33, 28 July 2021 (UTC)

India England Second Warm up match

Hey! I noticed that the second warm-up match before the England-India test series has been removed. I wasn't able to find any sources for it but noticed you haven't reverted the edit. Has the second match been canceled or is it safe to revert back to its original state? Thanks! Raps19 (talk) 18:50, 29 July 2021 (UTC)

Hey Raps. I'd leave it for now. There's nothing concrete to state there is one happening, and it probably won't now, with the first Test being so close. Thanks. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 18:51, 29 July 2021 (UTC)
Sounds good. Thanks! Raps19 (talk) 02:43, 30 July 2021 (UTC)
No probs. I can't see another County Select first-class match being scheduled, but I guess they could play one of those pointless two-day intra squad matches at the weekend! Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 06:46, 30 July 2021 (UTC)
Yup. Makes sense. Probably what's going to happen haha. Thanks! Raps19 (talk) 20:40, 30 July 2021 (UTC)

Hi again Lugnuts - should the above be moved to Tábata Vitorino per this? I'll leave it up to you with those Portuguese names. Have a great weekend JW 1961 Talk 13:17, 30 July 2021 (UTC)

@Joseywales1961: - thanks for this. Her article is at Tabata Vitorino de Carvalho on the PT wiki, and the German wiki has Tábata de Carvalho. I'll create the redirect for now. All the incoming links suggest Tábata de Carvalho is correct, but happy for someone with more Portuguese knowledge to correct me! Have a good weekend too. Cricket Australia

  • Hi. I have a doubt.
  • Today only I know, cricketaustralia.com is main site for Australian cricket board.
  • And, they maintain a separate site i.e cricket.com.au for news updates and all. *Mainly, we're collecting all the ref from cricket.com.au.
  • Rare from cricketaustralia.com.
  • But while citing, in the WORK parameter what name we have to use?
  • I noted many Australia cricket articles from the past, using cricket.com.au for cricket.com.au links and Cricket Australia for "cricketaustralia.com" links.
  • But in recent articles that you and I, we're updating Cricket Australia even it's from cricket.com.au website.
  • Hereafter what we will use? I'll follow as such. Thanks :-) Kirubar (talk) 09:01, 1 August 2021 (UTC)
@Kirubar: - If you scroll to the bottom of their homepage it states "cricket.com.au is a production of CA Digital Media - a division of Cricket Australia" and that's followed by "© 2021 Cricket Australia". And their terms & conditions page refers to themselves as "Cricket Australia ("CA")". So much like the ECB's site is ecb.co.uk, but it would (or should) be refered to as "England and Wales Cricket Board" in the cite, and not "ecb.co.uk". Hope that helps. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 09:11, 1 August 2021 (UTC)

Thanks, for your words. 2021-22 women's BBL page, still cited as cricket.com.au, for uniformity can we change that to Cricket Australia? Because that's the only current season Australian cricket article varies this point, I guess. Thanks :-) Kirubar (talk) 09:16, 1 August 2021 (UTC)

Yeah, if you find time, then change them as you find them. Thanks. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 09:17, 1 August 2021 (UTC)

Oops, In that particular page, all are manually cited. I'll change the website parameter to work and Cricket Australia. But, I'm thinking whether somebody'll ask or revert or any consequences? Thanks :-) Kirubar (talk) 09:27, 1 August 2021 (UTC)

Sorry for pinging you again. How about notating H for the Home/Host team in Fixtures?(RL cup, T20 Blast, County and etc., Leagues) I followed previous articles they didn't, but I feels it would be better to notate Home Team. Please say your views on this. Thanks :-) Kirubar (talk) 09:48, 1 August 2021 (UTC)

Hi. It's not really done for the England domestic seasons, so I wouldn't start adding that. Thanks. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 09:51, 1 August 2021 (UTC)

Upto 2019 season, Home teams notated. For 2020 and 2021 season, I will update all those in County, RL, Blast, if you agree. Thanks :-) Kirubar (talk) 10:06, 1 August 2021 (UTC)

Hi. It doesn't need to be done - I wouldn't worry about it. Thanks. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 10:08, 1 August 2021 (UTC)

Hi

Hi

DVD

Hi LN! I notice you reverted a couple of statements of fact I made regarding publication of films on a DVD available in Australia (at least). I have an instance of the publication in my hand. What would you consider suitable reference apart from title, publisher and country? That much is certainly adequate for a (pre-isbn) book. Doug butler (talk) 14:18, 3 August 2021 (UTC)

Hi Doug. Just any WP:RS will be fine, other than say a listing on Amazon, or a similar site. Thanks! Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 14:28, 3 August 2021 (UTC)
The DVD cover is a reliable source, as the contents of the film is a reliable source of the cast and plot. Doug butler (talk) 14:41, 3 August 2021 (UTC)
From WP:RS "The term "published" is most commonly associated with text materials, either in traditional printed format or online; however, audio, video, and multimedia materials that have been recorded then broadcast, distributed, or archived by a reputable party may also meet the necessary criteria to be considered reliable sources. Like text, media must be produced by a reliable source and be properly cited. Additionally, an archived copy of the media must exist. It is convenient, but by no means necessary, for the archived copy to be accessible via the Internet." Doug butler (talk) 15:41, 3 August 2021 (UTC)

Hi, Cricket was played at many Multi-sport events, after it appeared in 1900 Summer Olympics. In 1979, 1987, 1991 cricket was played at South-Pacific games. I was finding the scorecards for these matches. but i couldn't. Would u pls help me in finding those scorecards as I have to update those events in Marathi Wikipedia. Hey Lugnuts. I would advise you to use National-football-teams to get a more accurate figure regarding these player's international caps and goals. WTC Statistics

Hi, there. 2019–2021 WTC have more stats and sub-sections in Statistics section. But I think, we will create a separate page for stats, during each WTC Cycles. Like in 2019 Cricket World Cup Main page Statistics section, as they giving only Most runs and Most wickets there. All other stats are in 2019 Cricket World Cup statistics. Thinking this, I only put Most runs and Most wickets in Current ICC WTC 2021–2023, leaving all others for now. Please let me know your views on this. I'll put stats accordingly. Thanks :-) Kirubar (talk) 15:50, 10 August 2021 (UTC)

Hi. I've got no problem if you want to do that and split out the extra info. However, you should make it more text-based, rather than just tables, so it avoids WP:NOTSTATS. Thanks. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 18:05, 10 August 2021 (UTC)

BBL Fixtures

Now, can we have the 2021–22 Big Bash League season fixtures while already having win-loss table? As the previous editor notates, that all schedules finalised. Thanks :) Kirubar (talk) 14:56, 12 August 2021 (UTC)

I don't see the point of that table myself right now, as it doesn't apply until the first match is completed. Maybe hide it until the tournament starts. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 14:59, 12 August 2021 (UTC)

Actually, I'm looking for you for the past 15 minutes. I knew, it'll be edited or corrected by you, bcoz I am not good in content writing, still learning. I decided to stop with the table and didn't want to get down into the prose and adding just like that. But note the timing, at the same time I added the that edit, in split second you arrived. Anyway, Thanks. Kirubar (talk) 15:42, 29 August 2021 (UTC)

Lol. Honestly I told myself, Hey ya just add the ref for now. Surely, Lugnuts will come and do the rest. Lol... Kirubar (talk) 15:51, 29 August 2021 (UTC)

Hi, there. Already, two tables in Module:Sports table i.e. Module:Sports table/CricketRR, Module:Sports table/CricketCC, we're using. This season county championship they added PCF, I modified some code bits and kept here in the sandbox, you must have a try this, suitable if we wanna use PCF. We don't know for this season or may be in future, PCF will be used. All set. Now what I'm asking is,

  • 1) Shall we add a new third table as Module:Sports table/CricketCCPCF? Using the sandbox module I mentioned above. Assuming, PCF will be continued.
  • 2) Or else, can we add that code bits in already existing Module:Sports table/CricketCC, assuming Just for one season No new module.
  • 3) Or else, shall we follow already created free style tables (not following any modules) ?

I can't edit modules, being a non admin user. Let me know your choice. Thanks :-) Kirubar (talk) 05:14, 30 August 2021 (UTC)

@Kirubar: - thanks for your work in this area. All this module table coding is beyond my area of expertise, so I don't really know how it all works. However, I know some members of the Cricket Project do know quite a bit about it, so probably best to post this at WT:CRIC for further input. Thanks. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 07:18, 30 August 2021 (UTC)

Thanks. Lately, Spike'em edited that Module for 2019 season. Can I ask that user for further proceedings? Kirubar (talk) 07:33, 30 August 2021 (UTC)

Yes, sure - I'm pretty sure he's got the technical knowledge on how the modules work. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 07:34, 30 August 2021 (UTC)

When power shifts, they might not be able to play cricket, or do so in exile. Delete this message if you think it shouldnt be here. Human (talk) 12:41, 15 August 2021 (UTC)

It's all very interesting at the moment. Been watching the news this morning, and see the Taliban want a peaceful transfer/takeover. A few weeks ago the ACB published something about their domestic competitions, and their U19 prep may be more impacted. I might be wrong, but I'm sure most of the Afghan team live outside of the country, mainly in the UAE or India. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 12:48, 15 August 2021 (UTC)
Even though they want peaceful transfer, their policies are still anti-sports and all other modern inventions (except well ofcourse firing arms and riding motorbikes). Its just that Afghanistan will have trouble getting new players. Human (talk) 12:54, 15 August 2021 (UTC)
Don't fancy being in the first touring side to play there, facing up to the Taliban XI in a two-day warm-up match. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 13:00, 15 August 2021 (UTC)
They actually officially took over now. Will be interesting to see what the jersey colors will be. Human (talk) 16:46, 15 August 2021 (UTC)
It's moving on at quite a pace. A couple of days ago the news quotes were saying "it'll be 90 days before Kabul is taken", and that's changed in a blink of an eye! Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 17:16, 15 August 2021 (UTC)

Notice

The article Herbert Hambleton has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

As the article creator pointed out in this discussion, players who are selected for a tournament but don't actually appear in it are not afforded notability. Doesn't appear he earned caps outside the Olympics either.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Hello Lugnuts, Since you are enthusiastic in cricket related articles, Is there any update on Chris Woakes injury ??? I think he recovered from his heel injury and probably will be available for Headingley test then Why he isn't in the squad or will England add him just before the game ? Cheers. Winged Adult (talk) 03:45, 19 August 2021 (UTC)

Hi! I believe Woakes has a broken heel, and looks like he'll be out of action for some time. He last played a match in early July, so I doubt he'll play this summer. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 06:27, 19 August 2021 (UTC)

@Lugnuts: I believe Woakes has a bruised heel not broken heel which actually can recover in 5-6 weeks. Anyway without Woakes (other injury scares too) looking very dark for Poms may be a 4-0 drubbing is on cards.(considering the fact that England played poorly in Headingley too in recent times) Your scoreline ? Cheers. Winged Adult (talk) 09:55, 19 August 2021 (UTC)

Well moving into September would suggest more rain delays (this summer has been terrible here), so maybe an optimistic 1-1 could happen! Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 10:37, 19 August 2021 (UTC)

@Lugnuts: Just to let you know Lugnuts; Woakes recovered from his heel injury and must be recalled for fourth test at The Oval. Read this article from ESPNcricinfo. Winged Adult (talk) 03:22, 28 August 2021 (UTC)

Specific notability guidelines for cricket coaches

Hi Lugnuts, the PCB have done a PCB and decided to give all the Pakistani domestic coaches new teams [5]. Every head coach seems to have an article on them except one guy, Abdul Rehman. The thing is that all the other head coaches have played domestically or internationally so they all pass WP:CRIN. I don't think that WP:CRIN has a section for coaches, so does it come down to whether or not he passes WP:GNG or is there a specific guideline for coaches? I assume so with these sources: [6] [7]. Thanks CreativeNorth (talk) 15:23, 20 August 2021 (UTC)

Hi. Yes, always go to WP:GNG as a back-up in lieu of a specific guideline. Trying to get agreement on a new guideline will be tougher than trying to get out of Kabul right now. Those sources look good to me, obviously finding more interviews etc, will help. Funny you mention these coaches, as I was looking at this only this morning! Virat Kohli century drought

@Lugnuts:As You are a cricket enthusiastic, I want to ask you about your prediction whether Virat Kohli will score a hundred or not in this test series. I'm a Big Virat Kohli fan. So please help me to curb my nerves by answering. please. RIDHVAN SHARMA (talk) 07:00, 23 August 2021 (UTC)

Hopefully not anytime soon! Maybe when Sri Lanka tour India next February, or against the Aussies in October 2022. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 07:32, 23 August 2021 (UTC)
You seem to be under the misapprehension that England could come back in the series if Kohli doesn't score. Usedtobecool ☎️ 07:44, 23 August 2021 (UTC)
England are more than capable of mastering their own collapses with or without Kohli getting any runs! Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 07:45, 23 August 2021 (UTC)

@Lugnuts, RIDHVAN SHARMA, and Usedtobecool: I agree with Lugnuts here; he is going through terrible times which happens with every player luckily for him it happened to him before 35. Jimmy will eat him for breakfast like he did in 2014 tour. But...Hang on...., I have little to no doubts that India will hammer England for 4-0 as Lugnuts pointed out about weather forecast in our earlier thread. It's quite good for Headingley and even Oval. They didn't pick Woakes despite being fit and with Wood is out of the test (possibly series) and Anderson is 39, tough time for pommies ahead. Repeat of Headingley 2002 is on the cards. Anyone in this thread thinks that poms can get away with a win in remaining games ???? Winged Adult (talk) 15:24, 23 August 2021 (UTC)

Well... this is some innings! It might just change enough moods to prevent another duck for Burns. Usedtobecool ☎️ 13:48, 25 August 2021 (UTC)
Indeed! Have to question why Pujara is in the squad. Now I've said that, he'll probably make a double century in the second innings... Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 13:58, 25 August 2021 (UTC)

"So far so good :D" Indeed! Kohli didn't score. Again. Jimmy being too old? The Burnley Brian was on fire. Again. "Repeat of Headingley 2002 is on the cards" Yep, an innings defeat! Burns got some runs and Pujara has saved his place in the squad. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 11:51, 28 August 2021 (UTC)
Also, why is Rishabh Pant is the side? He's about three months too early for the T20 World Cup. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 11:59, 28 August 2021 (UTC)

@Lugnuts: Pant is a match winner. He is highly unpredictable. Currently he is not in form, that doesn't mean that he is a bad player. His aggression is still a threat to English fast bowlers. Remember during the 4th test between India & England earlier this year, Pant did a reverse sweep against James Anderson off the new ball. So you can't underestimate him. I think he should be surely in the T20 World Cup Squad and should be played every match. RIDHVAN SHARMA (talk) 04:36, 2 September 2021 (UTC)

He's not a Test match winner. He's more reckless, in the style of Shahid Afridi. He doesn't play the match situation. I don't see him batting out a session to save a match. He's trying to be in the same mold as Stokes, AB, McCullum, etc, but isn't quite getting it right. If he was only in the squad as a batsman, I feel he would have been dropped by now! Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 06:22, 2 September 2021 (UTC)
He's young; they groomin' him for the next decade. That's why nobody even talks about alternatives right now. I don't like his approach in tests either. I legit think Jimmy has too much load for his age; they might break him if they not careful. Usedtobecool ☎️ 09:20, 2 September 2021 (UTC)

@Lugnuts: Risabh Pant is only 23. He will gain maturity if he plays more & more matches. And I think Risabh Pant should be backed by Virat and Shashtri. India needs to back players like him and Suryakumar to win 2023 World cup. RIDHVAN SHARMA (talk) 04:51, 3 September 2021 (UTC)

Evening! Yes, after a brief discussion with Bs1jac, I went for this combined approach. The matches are listed on the ICC's fixtures page. Thanks. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 17:51, 25 August 2021 (UTC)
Thanks for that clarity. One more question. Challenge Leagues A & B get coverage in main International Page despite them being List A tournament whereas European qualifiers with International status involving one full member country is on the Associate page. Is this ok? Ankurc.17 (talk) 09:09, 26 August 2021 (UTC)
No problem. Yes, the List A tournaments feed directly into the World Cup qualification, so they are in the right place. Thanks. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 09:12, 26 August 2021 (UTC)

Africa women's qualifier

Looks like the Africa women's qualifier fixtures are on the ICC calendar if you'd like to add these? Seems that eSwatini are in instead of Malawi. Bs1jac (talk) 09:59, 26 August 2021 (UTC)

Thanks and thanks for updating too! Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 10:42, 26 August 2021 (UTC)
@Bs1jac: I assume that the ICC has made a couple of mistakes on its site, with Tan/Zim playing each other twice, and eSwatini only having three matches! Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 10:46, 26 August 2021 (UTC)
I have counted 4 for eSwatini who I guess are playing instead of Malawi. Tanzania and Zimbabwe play each other on 9th and 10th - one should be Botswana-Eswatini (I think) Bs1jac (talk) 10:48, 26 August 2021 (UTC)

Query

Hello, Lugnuts,

An editor tagged Shakil Hossain and Anamul Hasan Shakil as being two articles on the same person but they have different names and birth dates. But I thought I'd ask you what you thought and if there was a duplication of articles. Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 05:30, 28 August 2021 (UTC)

As the editor in question, I tagged it as A10 (i.e., duplication of an existing mainspace article) because [this] was the state of the article when I tagged it. The creator, who has already attempted to hijack Shakil Ahmed (footballer) and Shakil Hossain for promotion, made a new article with the contents of Shakil Hossain. No cricketer named Anamul Hasan Shakil exists; I suppose I could have multi-tagged it as a hoax as well. DanCherek (talk) 05:43, 28 August 2021 (UTC)
Okay, I usually prefer for articles labeled "hoaxes" to be obvious ones and I know nothing about this subject. But I'll rely on your expertise, Dan. Thank you for chiming in. Liz Read! Talk! 06:12, 28 August 2021 (UTC)

Date formats

Hello, please avoid making arbitrary changes to date formats (see MOS:DATERET and MOS:VAR), as you recently did at Percy Almstedt and other articles. No consensus was created to change these date formats, which have been stable for years, and MOS:VAR explicitly notes that "enforcing optional style in a bot-like fashion without prior consensus, is never acceptable." Thank you. Doremo (talk) 14:12, 31 August 2021 (UTC)

The subject is European, hence the correct date format. Do they have ties to the US? Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 14:14, 31 August 2021 (UTC)
MOS:VAR applies to English-language countries (which would not include Sweden). The date format used in Swedish is not relevant for determining English date format in a given article; this has been discussed before. You're welcome to raise the issue at WT:DATE and propose a change to established MOS guidelines. Doremo (talk) 14:22, 31 August 2021 (UTC)

T20 status

Hi @Lugnuts:, Hope you are safe. Please tell me why Tamil Nadu Premier League is not a official cricket tournament ? As India has got a full status in T20I, Test and ODI. And also India is the full status of member of ICC. I ask you this because you are the active user for the creation of cricket related article. Reply as soon as possible. Thank you !Fade258 (talk) 09:30, 6 September 2021 (UTC)

Hi. It's more of a regional tournament within India, so doesn't hold full T20 status (I don't know the exact reason why). The matches will be recorded as "Other T20" on Cricinfo, etc. See also this list at WP:OFFCRIC. While the league may get coverage to meet WP:GNG, simply playing a match in the league doesn't make the cricketer notable. Thanks. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 09:35, 6 September 2021 (UTC)
@Lugnuts:, Thank you ! Again tell me Nepal has got the ODI and T20I status then why Everest Premier League is not a official T20 tournament? Fade258 (talk) 05:50, 8 September 2021 (UTC)
I think it's due to being a full member of the ICC - IE having Test match status. So domestic T20 leagues in Ireland and Afghanistan do have Twenty20 status, but similar leagues in Nepal, Canada, Hong Kong, etc, do not. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 07:33, 8 September 2021 (UTC)

Please stop removing the flag in Emma Raducanu's infobox. This has longstanding consensus and is used in every single tennis and F1 racing player article. Per WP:INFOBOXFLAG, "The infobox may contain the national flag icon of an athlete who competes in competitions where national flags are commonly used as representations of sporting nationality in a given sport." In tennis it is prominent in every aspect of the sport. Even official draw sheets. You can't even play an international event such as Wimbledon without the backing of a nation. It's required. Fyunck(click) (talk) 08:42, 12 September 2021 (UTC)

And the bit before that states "As with other biographical articles, flags are discouraged in sportspeople's individual infoboxes even when there is a "country", "nationality", "sport nationality" or equivalent field: they may give undue prominence to one field over others. " So clearly its at odds with itself. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 08:45, 12 September 2021 (UTC)
That might be the case, but there was a huge discussion many years ago about the icons. Oh, and that sentence about undue prominence... that was put in by an editor with zero discussion at that same time many years ago. It's just one of those things I guess, but Tennis bios all use it. Fyunck(click) (talk) 08:51, 12 September 2021 (UTC)
@Fyunck(click): - please can you link me to said huge discussion? Thanks. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 08:52, 12 September 2021 (UTC)
It's as easy for you to dig it up as it is for me. That was so long ago I have no idea where it was talked about and why there was insistence on that line being in the guidelines. Plus they are guidelines not policy. It is why all tennis articles use the icon. I have no issue with it in the infobox to represent sporting nationality, but I do sometimes wish they wouldnt be used so prolifically in tables and draws. But the press and organizations do the same so the sourcing is there to back it up. Fyunck(click) (talk) 08:58, 12 September 2021 (UTC)
"It's as easy for you to dig it up as it is for me" - well, not really. Was it at the tennis project? The infobox page? Somewhere else? Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 09:01, 12 September 2021 (UTC)
I believe part of it was at MOS talk but it spilled all over the place. Fyunck(click) (talk) 09:05, 12 September 2021 (UTC)

CWC Super League

Hey, I was going through CWC Super League page and I spotted that Eng vs Ind ODI Series in 2022 is listed under the league. But how can another series between same two teams will count under Super League as already 3 ODIs between India and England in March 2021 are counted in Super League. Aditya tamhankar (talk), 13th September 2021, 14:11 (IST)

The short answer is: I don't know. The ICC does list the 2022 as part of the Super League, as well as the matches already played! Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 08:51, 13 September 2021 (UTC)

Clifford Barry

What the hell are you talking about? First off you’re the one forcing incorrect formatting back into an article that it doesn’t belong on and edit warring over it. You’re insisting that a non-British person must have a British date format for their page? Why must Barry have this format when no other Canadian subjects have this format? Rusted AutoParts 17:35, 14 September 2021 (UTC)

You did read MOS:DATERET, right? You're the only one saying he's not British. So what? He's not Dutch, or Spanish, or Peruvian. Thanks. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 17:37, 14 September 2021 (UTC)
Yes because you implementing the Year-Date-Month format (1 January 2021) that is predominantly seen on European, namely British articles. Canadian subjects utilize Date-Month-Year (January 1, 2021). You keep changing this despite the DMY tag. I removed it accidentally because I thought it was why you were forcing the YMD (British) format. Please revert your incorrect edit, considering the tag is DMY. Rusted AutoParts 17:42, 14 September 2021 (UTC)
My edit is not incorrect. Thanks. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 17:43, 14 September 2021 (UTC)

About article

Hi @Lugnuts:, Please don't irritate with my question. I am new to Wikipedia so, I am in the learning process. Can I create article of Women cricketer who played at least one international match in any format i.e Test, ODI, and T20I? Please tell me. Thank you ! Fade258 (talk) 11:13, 15 September 2021 (UTC)

Hi. Please see WP:NCRIC and the further guidance found at Wikipedia:WikiProject Cricket/Official cricket to double-check they meet the notability requirements. All women cricketers who've played for full member teams in either a Test, ODI or T20I should already have an article. Thanks. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 11:17, 15 September 2021 (UTC)
@Lugnuts Thanks. Fade258 (talk) 11:20, 15 September 2021 (UTC)

Indian cricket team in South Africa

Hi there - the "not to be confused with" link on Indian cricket team in South Africa in 2021–22 is pointing back to the same article (via a redirect). I am confused as to what is shouldn't be confused with! It's also under October in the season template, despite being in December. I assume the series in India was cancelled/rearranged? Bs1jac (talk) 11:13, 15 September 2021 (UTC)

@Bs1jac: - thanks for spotting that. On the FTP there were/are two tours - SA in India in Sept, and India visiting SA from Dec. The former didn't/hasn't taken place, I guess due to COVID and the IPL, with the ODI matches added to the series in SA. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 11:20, 15 September 2021 (UTC)

In the future, when you notice an edit like this one, please feel free to notify someone at WT:HRV and/or WT:SRB, because anonymous vandalism in this topic area can be rampant. I think the issue here was that the anonymous editor was trying to point out that this person competed for Yugoslavia, which is obviously factual from the sources, but their "nationality" was also changed to "Serbian", for which there was no explanation, hence that part was quite suspect. Given the place of birth matching the modern-day surname distribution which indicates such folks are Croatian, it seems like this was an WP:EXTRAORDINARY claim, hence a reference is necessary to make it. --Joy [shallot] (talk) 12:11, 18 September 2021 (UTC)

Thanks for the info - will do. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 12:26, 18 September 2021 (UTC)

Hello - My name is Milyon, french contributor on frwiki and unusual reader on enwiki :) - I was checking if the Joseph Bernhard page exist or no in enwiki. In the infobox of the Ruby Gentry page, when I click on the Joseph Bernhard link (american producer), it sends me to the Joseph Benhard page (namibian boxer) . These 2 people are different. It seems to me that you created this redirection. What do you think about it? Could you please delete this redirection if it is wrong?--Milyon (talk) 12:47, 19 September 2021 (UTC)

@Milyon: - thanks for spotting this. I've removed the redirect. It's a possible mis-spelling of the boxer, but only had one correct incoming link, which I've also changed. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 13:09, 19 September 2021 (UTC)

South Africa vs India ODI Series 2021-22

Isn't South Africa vs India ODI Series 2021-22 part of CWC Super League? If not, why? RIDHVAN SHARMA (talk) 04:11, 22 September 2021 (UTC)

Hi. It should be, as SA were meant to travel to India this month, with these ODI matches added to this tour. I guess we'll know for sure in three months or so. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 06:40, 22 September 2021 (UTC)

There's a big list of articles you have created here. More than 91.000. Usually I would say: WOW! But then I see articles like Anne Trabant-Haarbach. This is not an article. This is not really a stub. This is just a sub-stub. There's really nothing more said about her, than a list of woman's soccer national team players could easy show. And it's not a because of a lack if informations. The de:WP article knows a lot about her. At least with Google translate you would learn enough to write a real aricle. So about her team career with winning 8 german championships inclouding the first 2 and also the inofficial first championship with 3 different teams. And later directly afterwards her player career 3 more championships as coach. And she did not just played 8 caps for the german national team. She played all of the very first 8 matches. And was an important part in establishing the national team alongsite Egidius Braun, Horst R. Schmidt und Gero Bisanz. Due to Germany had no national team until 1982, her club team from the SSG 09 Bergisch Gladbach was sent as german team to the inofficial World Championships to Taiwan in 1981. So she was part of the inofficial World Champions team and in 1984 the same as coach. This all could have been in the article. And no - I can't do this, because my english is not good enough to write this on an encyclopedic level. But - class ist usually better than mass. An important figure as Trabant-Haarbach would have deserved more than this. Or better nothing. -- Marcus Cyron (talk) 23:56, 22 September 2021 (UTC)

UAE T20Is

Good morning! I came across this 'series' in the UAE in October to be played ahead of the T20I world cup. They are calling it the DafaNews Summer T20 Bash 2021 but it seems to be 5 teams (basically UAE plus 4 of the 6 who came through qualifying, Ireland, Scotland, Namibia, PNG) playing each other a random number of times so not sure how best to deal with it, or even if it should go in the main or associate season. Could you help with this one please? Bs1jac (talk) 09:25, 23 September 2021 (UTC)

@Bs1jac: - Morning! Wow, thanks for finding this. Looks like an obvious expansion of this page. Leave it with me and I'll adjust the current Irish tour to encompass all of these matches. Thanks! Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 09:27, 23 September 2021 (UTC)
Ahhh, yes glad I checked as I had not seen these. Was going to suggest these are basically T20I warm up matches. Not a regular quadrangular etc, but a collection of mini-series, that would be tidier as a single article. Thanks! Bs1jac (talk) 09:31, 23 September 2021 (UTC)
No problem. I did think it was a bit odd that only Ireland were doing this, now makes a bit more sense that the other teams get a few matches in. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 12:18, 23 September 2021 (UTC)
Although confusing when you get actual T20I "warm-ups" and then the "official warm-ups" that are not T20Is... BTW: Another FM series for you: Ireland women in Zimbabwe - first ODIs for Ireland in 3 years, and first ever for Zimbabwe. Bs1jac (talk) 15:42, 23 September 2021 (UTC)
This is great news for both teams - just reading about this before you pinged me. Page created. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 16:28, 23 September 2021 (UTC)

IPL slow over rate fines

Hey! Hope you're doing well! Been inactive for a while but had a quick question. Do you know where to put information regarding the slow over-rate fine in IPL games? For example, Eoin Morgan and the KKR team were fined (https://www.iplt20.com/news/239746/eoin-morgan-fined-for-slow-over-rate) for a slow over-rate in their game against Mumbai Indians. Thanks! Raps19 (talk) 00:31, 24 September 2021 (UTC)

Hi Raps - all good here, thanks. Hope you are well too. We don't usually bother to add this to most of the cricket tours/tournaments, mainly as it happens so often! It would be worth making a note of it if say, for example, the captain had been fined multiple times and got a match ban. This happens from time to time in Tests/ODIs. Don't know if it does happen in franchise cricket though. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 06:48, 24 September 2021 (UTC)
Ahh okay. Makes sense. I assume this is because the penalities of these over-rate infractions are not significant enough to include on Wiki? Thanks! Raps19 (talk) 16:28, 24 September 2021 (UTC)
The only recent(ish) example I can think of from the top of my head was when Jason Holder was suspended for the third Test against England in February 2019, due to a slow over-rate. So other than that, yes it's not significant enough to mention. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 16:33, 24 September 2021 (UTC)
