New articles you've created[edit]

Hi. Please take a look at the notability for cricket articles. Several of your new articles do not meet the notability requirements (U19 competitions, for example). I urge you to ask for guidance/advice at WT:CRIC before creating any further articles, as all of the ones you have created so far look likely to be deleted (one certainly will be). Just because a competition/tournament exists, do not mean it is notable enough to be included on Wikipedia. Thanks. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 10:27, 19 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Furthermore, you need to study WP:MOS because certain standards are required. Please do NOT cite incorrect scorecards for matches that have yet to be played – the card can be added later. Thanks. Jack | talk page 16:07, 24 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Aditya tamhankar,

I wanted to let you know that there's a discussion about whether New Zealand 'A' cricket team in India in 2017 should be deleted. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/New Zealand 'A' cricket team in India in 2017 .

If you're new to the process, articles for deletion is a group discussion (not a vote!) that usually lasts seven days. If you need it, there is a guide on how to contribute. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

Thanks,

A cricket team articles[edit]

Hi. I appreciate you creating various articles related to A cricket team tours. Try to add references to squads in your future articles as you might have observed that I added in some articles. And also add A cricket team category to all the pages. You can even find me adding that to some of your articles. Adding references can reduce the probability of getting deleted and adding categories doesn't make it an orphan page. And, also I observed that for scorecard, you are keeping cricinfo/cricbuzz summary tab. This might be because there might not be a scorecard page by the time you created the article but change once the page is created which you can do while updating the scores. I hope this will be reflected in your future articles. Thanks. Sagavaj (talk) 01:55, 11 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The article Arjuun Tendulkar has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. A tag has been placed on New Zealand A cricket team against Pakistan in the UAE in 2018-19 requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organized event (tour, function, meeting, party, etc.) that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. An article you recently created, International cricket in 1982-83, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). An article you recently created, Domestic cricket in 2019–20, has too many problems as written to remain published.

Firstly, the title. Pakistan is not the only country with a domestic cricket season. Please remember you're writing for a worldwide audience.

Secondly, the text refers to South African and Indian domestic events, not Pakistan's. Please fix the article and then take it through the review process. Cabayi (talk) 06:15, 16 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Which (2019 or 2020) england and irish domestic cricket season would you be adding in 2019-20 domestic cricket? Or you would be creating a seperate one for them like internationa cricket pages? September 2019[edit]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles, or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion debates, as you did with List of International cricket centuries in 2019. Otherwise, it may be difficult to create consensus. If you oppose the deletion of an article, please comment at the respective page instead. You should take part in the AfD conversation. I have suggested bundling all the similar articles you have created in that AfD - they are, in my opinion, unsuitable for inclusion in Wikipedia. Please engage in conversation rather than simply going ahead and creating more of them Blue Square Thing (talk) 08:37, 29 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Category:International cricket centuries by year requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the category has been empty for seven days or more and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. An article you recently created, List of Afghanistan One Day International cricket records, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. I'm not sure whether they should be called the Scotland A team or the Scotland national team. The Scotland A team redirects to the Scotland national team which is why I have this concern. Thanks, please reply

Hello, Aditya tamhankar. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Domestic cricket in 2019–20".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. Disambiguation link notification for April 17[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited 1980–81 Australian Tri-Series, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Yashpal Sharma (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 14:27, 17 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

One of your recent queries[edit]

Hi. I am A.A Prinon. I noticed you have one queries you tried to ask in articles, that is – Cricinfo has included SL vs BAN test Series, ZIM vs PAK Test and T20I series, RSA va PAK ODI and T20I series, Uganda tour of Nam and Nepal T20I Tri-Series in International cricket in 2021. But why we have included all these series in International cricket in 2020-21. I thought that I would just answer. Actually, the tournaments or bilateral series which are held between January-April of 2021 are said as 2020-21. And those which are held between May to August of 2021 are included in 2021. And those tours which are held in September-December of 2021 are included in 2021-22. Similarly, this conventional rule is applied in case of tours of all other years like 2020 or 2022 etc.  A.A Prinon  Conversation 14:12, 16 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. With a small exception being that short tournaments held in early September, in Europe, are generally considered to be for example, 2021, and not 2021/22, as this time of year is very much part of the European summer season. This usually affects European associate internationals. Bs1jac (talk) 16:19, 4 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
