• • When I accepted the article, I needs to makee extensive edits in order to have the article in idiomatic English. Although I do not know Chinese, and I am not a musician, it seemed clear to me what was intended. If I have inadevertantly made any mistakes, please correct them. When you write futyre articles--and I hope very much that you do--please have your draft looked over first by someone with a really fluent command of written English.
