Illustration workshop request

Please don't unarchive posts at the illustration workshop. Your request was posted for 2 months with no takers. When a request goes stale it is archived, otherwise the project page would be unmanageable. I think the biggest problem with your request is the large number of images you want done. That request is pretty demanding, you would probably have better luck if you post to get one track updated, let that one get complete, then post the next, but not all at once. My problem with your addition is that it appears to be your own synthesis of the numbers rather than anything you found in sources. You must not restore passages removed as unsourced without providing a source for them. This is a core content policy. Importance is a matter of opinion, which is why we don't use that as a criterion for inclusion. SpinningSpark 18:20, 23 September 2018 (UTC)

There exists some background material for Quantum Slipstream in some technical books or the Fact Files. But they descripted mostly the action of the episode and do not analyse the technology itself. Regarding your recent additions to warp drive, I note that the citations added are badly formatted. The content of your three footnotes is just 1) Star Trek Technical Manuals, 2) Star Trek Encylopedia, Star Trek Fact Files and 3) Star Trek Encylopedia. Please expand them - we need page numbers, ISBNs, authors, publishers, dates. Also for 2) it seems you combine two works into one, we need two separate footnotes. Note that I also added some citation requests to the content which would benefit from having a stand-alone citation (footnote). According to whom? If sources have discussed it, then you can mention that, but it's not part of the plot summary at that point. Adding the details as a ref isn't appropriate because a) they're not a ref, and b) that's just a backdoor method of trying to put in more plot detail. On avoiding OR

First, let me thank you for your contributions to sf topics! Second, I'd like to tell you about why in article on hyperspace I could not say, in the part that discusses its visual depiction, that the color of hyperspace in Babylon 5 is red. We know it is red, it can easily be seen in the show, BUT I could not find any reliable, independent source that said so. As such, if I were to say hyperspace is red in that TV show, it would be OR. Which takes me to your edits - some of them are using primary sources only (ex. the Event Horizon movie script, etc.). I am afraid that is not allowed per WP:OR, WP:PRIMARY and such. In the articles I write I am familiar with many more relevant examples or even larger concepts that are simply not discussed in reliable sources. Sadly, Wikipedia articles are limited by our sourcing policy... it's irritating, but those are the rules. This is why when ever I write about a topic, I start with a review of sources such as those listed at WT:SF - mainly encyclopedias of sf. I see what they say about hyperspoace, warp drive, etc., so I synthesize and summarize them, then add whatever I can from other relevant sources, but I try to avoid primary ones. Arguably, maybe we could use B5 script for a passing mention that their hyperspace is red, but I would not use a script to create a paragraph about "how hyperspace looks in B5", per UNDUE etc. Lastly, using primary sources for examples opens the gate to infinite list of examples, something we are moving away from - we can discuss it more, of course, but I am not convinced a list of "all works that use the term hyperspace" should exist on Wikipedia... etc. _{Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here} 10:32, 7 December 2021 (UTC)

It was a very simple system for the inaugural year. There were many injuries and accidents during the season, and the thought among historians is that the bad publicity scared away the AAA - they would not attempt a second season until 1916, after which WWI put off the third season until 1920.
