Overlinking[edit]

Hi there. It's great that you're pitching in on Wikipedia and I hope it's rewarding. One thing I want to point out, though, is that it's often preferred for common terms not to be linked to articles. See WP:OVERLINKING to get a feel for what is and isn't good to link. For example, I've undone your edits to Gemological Institute of America because "research" and "Europe", for example, don't really need to be linked. People will generally know what they are, and the content at those respective articles isn't likely to contribute to their understanding of the GIA article. It's not a big deal, not everything about Wikipedia's ways are obvious. Let me know if you have any questions. Largoplazo (talk) 04:02, 1 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I didn't know about this and thank you for reminding me. By reading the WP:OVERLINKING, I will try to make the links more useful. Meyboad (talk) 04:53, 1 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
