Need page move

The article MTD-f is misnamed. The spelling of the name in text is MTD(f), and that is consistent with the scientific literature. I cannot move the page to that, because there is a page named MTD(f). They need swapped: the article name should be MTD(F) and if necessary, MTD-f should point to it. Maybe admin status is needed for page move here. Sbalfour (talk) 17:36, 12 June 2021 (UTC)

User, no edit summaries, ever

Hello, Mike, I have an administration issue I don't know what to make of. User:Freezingwedge never EVER leaves edit summaries. I have been flogged by an administrator for neglecting ONE edit summary, and I am embarrassed. In a couple of cases, Freezingwedge edited an article I am editing, and I summarily reversed his edits solely because he left no edit summary. I (and others) have informed Freezingwedge that his conduct is dubious. Many of his edits appear to me to be just odd... like unneeded, a rabid change spree. This is supposed to be a cooperative and communicative project. Isn't it time to do something here? Sbalfour (talk) 21:37, 13 June 2021 (UTC)

• I'm not sure the lack of edit summaries violates any rules, though. It's certainly stated as "Always provide an edit summary" in the headline on this page, but that's immediately followed by "It is considered good practice to provide a summary for every edit," and what follows is that it's desired but not required. I think you are more likely to get traction on the basis of the content of the edits. If you are constantly having to revert, then yes, there's probably a need to do something.--Mike Selinker (talk) 22:01, 13 June 2021 (UTC)

A UI bug

I have a bug. I am on iPhone 7+, iOS 14.6. When I edit a wikipedia article, and misspell something, the UI highlights it, and offers different replacement words. I select one, and nothing happens. Heuristic search page - no destination

I've done something awkward. The Heuristic search page used to REDIRECT to Heuristic. That's not an appropriate place. I may say modestly, that I am an expert in the subject matter. There is no place in the encyclopedia that is a compelling or even plausible place to redirect. So I've blanked the page. That's bad. What do you want to do? We need an article and there isn't one. I'm not going to undertake to write it, though it's in my field. Heuristic (computer science) is a better place, but just not there. Heuristic search is an in-depth topic, and we don't cover it.
