Hello, you placed the {{helpme}} template on your talk page. How may I help you? When you've written the question, put {{helpme}} back so we know to check back. Cheers, Tangotango 07:57, 24 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Not certain why the article was deleted.

It looks like the article was deleted because it was a copyright violation of http://rangermade.us/store/catalog/camouflage.php?osCsid=7f32174d57ba4f805ff57f05a4ac72d0. As the message above says, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images on Wikipedia. Please read the Wikipedia:Copyrights page to see why this is the case, and what is/is not allowed. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask again. Tangotango 08:00, 24 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I am quoting our own material from a compilation of dated research. Am I citing incorrectly?

If you are reusing material you have previously published, the text must be licensed under the GFDL to be permissible on Wikipedia. Please see the instructions at Wikipedia:Copyright Problems (near the top of the page, in the "Copyright owners who submitted their own work to Wikipedia:" section) for what to do if you are the copyright holder and want to republish content to Wikipedia. Thanks. -- 08:19, 24 April 2006 (UTC)

permissions at wikimedia.org has been authorized by source

Just giving Wikipedia permission would not be enough, the material would have to be released under the GFDL licence (meaning that anyone could sell the info however they liked etc). Also, is "Military Tactical Gear" a commons subject? The article seemed to start off with info on camouflage, which we already have an article on.--Commander Keane 08:32, 24 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

We thought it might be advantageous to grant info access on our materials. The article pertains specifically to the dynamics of "Special Operations Camouflage Evolution" as opposed to the generic camouflage definition currently posted. All materials are free for release. If there is a more specific release protocol please inform. Just a follow up, Military Tactical Gear is the technical heading encompassing SO camo. They are inter related.

If you are so inclined, please feel free to add information to the existing articles, if they are lacking in any areas. If you are interested in republishing your existing content, please send an email to permissions@wikimedia.org from an e-mail address with your website's domain, explaining the situation and giving permission for your content to be published under the GFDL (which means that it can be freely redistributed and reused on other GFDL-compliant sites). Thank you. -- Tangotango 08:52, 24 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

As I explained in my last post, the email has already been sent from our domain. I need to know if the article will be reposted or do I need to resubmit and go through all this again?

Please speak to User:Can't sleep, clown will eat me, the administrator who flagged the article as a copyright violation, and explain the situation. Thank you. -- Tangotango 09:06, 24 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

User: Please follow thread and remedy situation, thanks.

You have exhausted all help from the {{helpme}} service. Perhaps you would be interested in our Help desk.--Commander Keane 09:42, 24 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Negative response from that venue

I'm not sure there is much more we can do for you. From what I understand, you want to write an article called Military tactical gear using info from the website you own. So you have to email permissions and speak to the deleting admin about restoring the article.--Commander Keane 10:10, 24 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Understood, email is launched over an hour ago. I have been asking the same question with negative progress. Green Light, Cleared, Do I need a direct email contact or phone number to speak with or physically sign something????? Requesting Progress, or positive point of contact.

Wait for the reply from the email (it may take a few days to process).--Commander Keane 10:17, 24 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
