Speedy deletion of (IFI)[edit]

A tag has been placed on (IFI) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, "See also" section, book reference, category tag, template tag, interwiki link, rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. --Aktsu (t / c) 07:21, 2 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Your uploads[edit]

Good day. I see that you have uploaded a number of images to Wikipedia. First off, thank you for your contributions. Unfortunately, there are some guidelines that we need to follow with copyrighted images. Specifically, you need to add a source for the image (a link to a website will do), a copyright tag (there are some listed at WP:ICT), and a rationale explaining why we can use a copyrighted image (explained at WP:NFURG). I see that your images fail to include one of these. Please stop uploading images and address the concerns listed above. If you need assistance, you can ask at the help desk. If you do not fix these images, and you continue to make bad uploads, you will be blocked and your images will be deleted. Thanks for your contributions! A tag has been placed on Philippine Bible Society requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. ttonyb1 (talk) 02:48, 19 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

June 2009[edit]

Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with Philippine Bible Society. Please use the {{hangon}} template on the page instead if you disagree with the deletion, and make your case on the page's talk page. Thank you. ttonyb1 (talk) 03:49, 19 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Gothic architecure[edit]

I appreciate the photo of the interesting church of iron. It was a pleasure to see it. However I had to delete it from the article on Gothic architecture because it is a Gothic Revival building, not a true, medieval Gothic building. There is a separate article on Gothic Revival architecture. Amandajm (talk) 04:31, 25 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image (File:Philippine Bible Society Logo.jpg)[edit]

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Philippine Bible Society Logo.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Skier Dude (talk) 07:25, 2 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Lists of churches in the Anglican Communion[edit]

You don't need to add these lists to articles, all the churches already have {{Anglican Churches}} on them which lists the churches in a much=more stream-lined way. David Underdown (talk) 15:36, 10 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Philippine history articles[edit]

I've asked for an admin to move back the page you moved. I understand that you think the change might give the article a title that's more recognizable, but it will be best if you had discussed this in the talk page. If you want to be very strict about it, although this depends on one's perspective, of course, colonization did not commence until 1901, when Aguinaldo was captured. The title you propose also does not cover Japanese occupation, much less World War II. In that regard, it can even be misleading. Rmcsamson (talk) 10:53, 15 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Editing[edit]

Your edits at Our Lady of Guadalupe have been reverted. There are Sources that state she is "Queen of Mexico and Empress of the Americas". You added "Philippine islands"... That's not correct according to sources. C.Kent87 (talk) 06:28, 22 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • I'm sorry Kent, but Our Lady of Guadalupe is the Secondary Partoness of the Philippines. Also, the title patroness of the Americas was given when the Philippines was still under Mexico. Therefore, she was also declared the patroness of our Islands. The Patronage of the Philippines was only transferred to the 'Immaculate Conception' when we were under Spanish rule. That was under the time if Archbishop Jeremiah James Harty. As a proof that the Lady of Guadalupe is still the Patroness of the Philippines, the Minor Seminary in the Archdiocese of Manila is named after her. The Catholic Bishops' Conference of the Philippines also declared her feast under the Title of the Lady of Guadalupe to be a proper feast in the Philippines. And most of all, all her shrines here carries a hand-written inscription of 'Patroness of the Americas and the Philippine Islands'. Thank you. Jayzl Nebre-Villfania (talk) 06:52, 28 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I never deleted the information about her being the "Secondary Patroness" of your islands. Be informed that what you are speaking about was between certain years according to sources. Also, the fact that the philippines was governed by Mexico City doesn't mean that it was a "part" of the Americas - rather it was a territory of New Spain. There is a difference. Basing this on inscriptions at the churches is original research. Thank you. C.Kent87 (talk) 00:09, 30 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
