Bolded Keep in Articles for Deletion discussion[edit]

Convention is that each editor adds but one bolded opinion--keep, redirect, delete, or whatever. I've deleted your two extras. Cheers, Jclemens (talk) 19:52, 28 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

(replying to your message on my talk page) So, there's a pretty high bar for separate articles on fictional elements, as opposed to subsections in other articles. There's a chance that Equestria would be better represented as a subsection within My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic, probably under 'premise'. It's not likely to be deleted outright, despite what other people are advocating for, because it CAN be redirected or merged to such a location. If you have any questions about how to best expand the article and demonstrate to other editors that it SHOULD be kept as a separate article, ping me on my talk page. Cheers, Jclemens (talk) 20:18, 28 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia:WikiProject Navarre, Florida[edit]

Hello. I've deleted WikiProject: Navarre, Florida for the simple reasons that it contains an unwanted space in the name, and the correct title exists at Wikipedia:WikiProject Navarre, Florida. Please also note the correct prefix in the title. -- zzuuzz (talk) 20:04, 20 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

WikiProject Navarre[edit]

The reason for deleting that "WikiProject" page is that it was in the wrong place, and you'd been working on it both at the correct location in the project space at Wikipedia:WikiProject Navarre, Florida, and in article space, at WikiProject: Navarre, Florida. The latter was incorrect. Largoplazo (talk) 20:06, 20 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Largoplazo:, Thank you for your help, I'm new with WikiProjects, but I still thought that there were enough Navarre, Florida related pages to have such a project. So you're help was greatly appreciated :) -- Navarre0107 (talk) 15:18, 18 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The article Bert Adams Scout Reservation has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

NoN-notable camp location.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. reddogsix (talk) 04:13, 13 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Sockpuppet investigation[edit]

An editor has opened an investigation into sockpuppetry by you. Sockpuppetry is the use of more than one Wikipedia account in a manner that contravenes community policy. The investigation is being held at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Navarre0107, where the editor who opened the investigation has presented their evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to investigations, and then feel free to offer your own evidence or to submit comments that you wish to be considered by the Wikipedia administrator who decides the result of the investigation. If you have been using multiple accounts (in a manner contrary to Wikipedia policy), please go to the investigation page and verify that now. Leniency is usually shown to those who promise not to do so again, or who did so unwittingly, but the abuse of multiple accounts is taken very seriously by the Wikipedia community.

@Magog the Ogre:,@Bbb23: I'm so sorry, I completely admit that I have used several accounts, I used them when some of my articles were trying to be deleted when I hadn't finished creating them yet. @Bbb23:, could you please review this unblock request, since you performed the block? I don't have any objection to lifting or lessening the indef block, since this was a first time offense. Magog the Ogre (tc) 15:41, 22 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Magog the Ogre: I think this kind of deception warrants an indefinite block. However, the user may consider the six-month standard offer.--Bbb23 (talk) 16:53, 22 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Bbb23:, I'll do whatever it takes to be allowed back onto Wikipedia, my action was terribly wrong and I am so very, very sorry. I love Wikipedia, I've spent hours working on edits and improvements. And I have advocated its use to countless people many for years. I will accept whatever punishment you deem fit≤, but if there is any way, whatsoever, that I might be able to edit and work on Wikipedia again, I'll do it. Is there any special thing I have to do for the standard offer? What is the procedure? Is there anything that might help my chances? Am I allowed to edit on other Wikimedia projects? I'm so sorry that I did this, and I promise never to do it again, I just want to come back to Wikipedia. In any matter, you have been fair and gracious and I thank you for your consideration. --Navarre0107 (talk) 18:07, 22 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
You should read the standard offer essay. Essentially, you can request an unblock six months from now, and provided you've not socked, your request will be considered at that time. Editing constructively on other wiki projects is acceptable.--Bbb23 (talk) 18:13, 22 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Bbb23: Thank you so much! I won't let you down. --Navarre0107 (talk) 18:19, 22 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Bbb23:, In accordance with you suggestion, I have not edited on Wikipedia for the previous six months, I have not sockpuppetted or created any new accounts since my blockage, and, in accordance with WP:SO, I have not created any extraordinary reasons that might create an objection to an unblockage. In addition, I have made helpful contributions to some of the other wikiprojects, particularly WikiVoyage. I again sincerely apologize for my extended period of sockpuppetting, and I am certainly willing to do what must to move forward as a contributer, including the 2nd Chance procedure, if you believe it necessary. Thank you for you due consideration. --Navarre0107 (talk) 17:30, 14 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

It looks to me like you've done everything right, so I've unblocked you. Stick to one account and you should be fine. Best of luck.--Bbb23 (talk) 22:28, 14 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

East Lagoon[edit]

Hi there. I noticed you keep adding East Lagoon to {{Coastal waters of Florida}}. This is a (very minor!) problem because East Lagoon redirects to, as an archaric name of, East Bay (Santa Rosa County, Florida) which is already included in the template under the "Bays" section. If you intend a different East Lagoon, please let me know so I can help you find the correct link; if that's the one you mean, it's already in the template and doesn't need to be added a second time. Thanks! - The Bushranger One ping only 00:49, 1 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@The Bushranger:, thanks for getting back to me with this, here's the situation. The term the East Lagoon is the easiest and, surprisingly, most up to date term for this area of East Bay. Though it's not used very often, it makes it easier to differentiate the primary section of East Bay, which is similar to Pensacola Bay and Escambia Bay, in that it is a miles-wide body of water, with this section of the bay that is almost completely geographically distinct, in that it is long and only around a half-mile wide at its widest. Furtherly adding to the confusion is East Bay River, which is similarly named and is, in fact, an actual river. Therefore, I'd like to keep using the terminology, since it's refers to a specific and geographically unique sub-section of the bay. Unfortunately though, this area isn't referred by this name enough on contemporary maps and sources to really allow for it to have its own separate article. My apologies for any confusion, I will ensure not to add it back to the lagoon list. Do you have any thoughts on how to improve this issue for clarity purposes? Is there perhaps enough references in older mappage to still create a new article for it, or should I wait until there is a GNIS entry on it before moving forward with that? Thank you! - Sincerely, Navarre0107 (talk) 02:40, 1 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I'd personally wait; old maps are, well, old, so a current source as to the precise name of the feature would be best! - The Bushranger One ping only 02:41, 1 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@The Bushranger:, for the time being though, is the name acceptable enough for this usage, or should I try reverting all references to the name back to just "East Bay," but with additional explanation? - Navarre0107 (talk) 02:43, 1 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
For now, retaining the East Bay verbiage would probably be best. - The Bushranger One ping only 02:44, 1 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, saw you created Dean Creek (Florida), wanted to bring to your attention that the infobox body of water is not the best infobox in cases of creeks, rivers, streams. Liberty Pond moved to draftspace[edit]

An article you recently created, Liberty Pond, is not suitable as written to remain published. Geographic features need to pass WP:GNG. It needs more in-depth coverage about the subject itself, with citations from reliable, independent sources in order to show it meets WP:GNG. It should have at least three, to be safe, and currently has zero, since the only ones which do more than mention it are not secondary sources, as they are all affiliated to the University. And please remember that interviews, as primary sources, do not count towards GNG.(?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.Onel5969 TT me 12:00, 15 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The article Zachary Selden has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Deputy UN Secretary's don't have automatic notability. With an h-Index of 9, and no qualifying academic positions, he doesn't meet WP:NSCHOLAR, and he doesn't have enough in-depth coverage to meet WP:GNG.

• I'm not gonna tag you here, friend, cause I really don't mean you to see this, I'm earnestly more venting, but this is the sixth time you've attempted to delete, draftify, or merge an article of mine (five of which have been just this last month). So far, every time its been proven and agreed upon that it was either incorrect or against consensus to do so. This includes one of your draftify attempts on Liberty Pond which acted directly against the standing consensus (in which I had previously suggested that is be discussed on the talk page before another draftify attempt was made, which you seemed to refuse to do and just attempted to draftify an article that clearly met WP:GEOLAND again). Another time, in your attempted merging of The Corsair, as discussed on the talk page of Pensacola State College, you seemed to act just short of aggressive to another editor in the discussion. Perhaps tone just doesn't carry over text, but I've never seen an editor word their discussions to other editors that way and it certainly does concern me. Nevertheless, I'm trying my best to assume your attempts are in good faith and you're just doing your best to work towards the betterment of this project, just as we all are. If you ever happen to see this, please just note that your mode of expression and intenseness towards the limiting of articles is coming off, in my personal opinion, as a bit overzealous. I am, and must, assume that this is just the intenseness you believe is necessary for the job, but if I might suggest... it seems, perhaps, a bit above what is needed? Just my humble opinion and, again, I am just venting in this moment and thank you for the effort you put in and hope you have a good day. - Navarre0107 (talk) 03:47, 7 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Notice

The article Arachno Creek has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

From page creator: "I've been looking for any citation, including a kayaking book that the co-user had previously thought mentioned the name, but to no avail. I must accept the likelihood that the name does not, in fact, have any actual local usage beyond those I personally know" (see Talk page)

Liz Read! Hello, Navarre0107,
No admin had deleted this page, tagged CSD G7, which is odd since those pages are usually quickly deleted. So, the patrolling admins must have had some questions about whether this article fit this criteria. So, I have removed the CSD tag and PROD'd it instead. I don't think there will be objections to it. Liz Read! Talk! 23:03, 7 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom 2023 Elections voter message[edit]

Hello! Voting in the 2023 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 11 December 2023. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2023 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:46, 28 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
