Welcome![edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia!

Hello, Nghwaya, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some tips that you might find helpful:

  • Link to other articles with double square brackets
  • Add pictures from Wikimedia Commons using thumb for thumbnail|Left, right or center so it knows where to go|a meaningful caption|alt=a description for blind people
    • Example
    • Click here for an exercise in adding images to articles.
  • Add headings with ==double equal signs==
    • If an article has sections two editors can edit different sections simultaneously without edit conflicts. Add enough sections and you get a contents section.
    • Here are articles where you can practice adding sections when you've finished splitting an article into sections you can remove the code from the top of the page.
      • ===subheadings are similar===
  • When you add information to Wikipedia please precis things in your own words, and tell us where you got the information from in the following format
  • If you find unreferenced information on Wikipedia that you consider dubious or unlikely, first try to reference it with a search on the internet. If you know it is wrong correct it, if you can't find a source then fact adds the famous [citation needed]. If after a week no-one has referenced the information, feel free to remove it.
  • Double single quotes gives you Italic and triple quotes Bold.

Many Wikipedians organise themselves by subject area, we have hundreds of WikiProjects ranging from Arts to Zoology, and I'm sure there will be ones that fit your interests. A good place to look for them is Category:WikiProjects_by_area, alternatively look at the talkpages of articles you are interested in and see which Wikiprojects have placed templates there.

Please remember to sign your messages on talk pages by typing four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, visit The Teahouse, ask me on my talk page, or ask for help on your talk page, and a volunteer should respond shortly. Again, welcome! Proposed deletion of Uganda Calendar[edit]

The article Uganda Calendar has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

It's unclear what this article is supposed to be. It appears to be specifications from a Request For Proposal to "customize" the Gregorian calendar, or an application displaying the Gregorian calendar, for use in Uganda, whatever that "customization" means for that purpose. In any event, this is not a Wikipedia article.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Disambiguation link notification for May 27[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Sukuma Ancient Salt Technology, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Sukuma. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Please do not create, maintain or restore hoaxes on Wikipedia, as you did with the article Sukuma Ancient Milk Technology. Hoaxes are eligible for speedy deletion. If you are interested in how accurate Wikipedia is, a more constructive test method would be to try to find inaccurate statements that are already in Wikipedia — and then to correct them if possible. Please do not disrupt Wikipedia. Feel free to take a look at the five pillars of Wikipedia to learn more about this project and how you can contribute constructively. Thank you. Undoing Previous Work[edit]

While an article is at AfD, please do not remove material. The articles you made currently have nothing, so editors have to check the edit history to actually read the articles, and it just creates extra work.ThePlatypusofDoom (Talk) 13:54, 31 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Re-posting deleted content[edit]

Please do not repost content that was previously deleted on Wikipedia, which in this case was a draft article (Draft:Sukuma calendar) that was deleted at MfD. Reposting the content over and over again is not an option in this situation, especially as there were concerns that the content might be a hoax. Whether it is a hoax or just a non-notable topic is not really the point - the point is that you are reposting this content after an MfD and after it was already deleted at least once as a recreation of a deleted topic. You've re-created this several times (at least three), something that can be seen as being very disruptive on Wikipedia. This is already up for discussion at deletion review. Recreating it before you have the go ahead via DRV will only be seen as further disruption and can actually lead to you getting blocked from editing on Wikipedia.

As it is, I'm debating giving you at least a short block considering that you've done this several times in the mainspace so you should already be very aware that repeatedly trying to restore an article after a deletion discussion is not acceptable behavior. You have been blocked indefinitely from editing because it appears that you are not here to build an encyclopedia. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may request an unblock by first reading the guide to appealing blocks, then adding the following text to the bottom of your talk page: .  Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 07:04, 10 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • I've looked at your contributions on Wikipedia and honestly, it looks like from the start you've been trying to add content to Wikipedia that is at best fringe material that would not meet Wikipedia's guidelines for notability and at worst is a hoax or something you came up with yourself. You've tried to add some of this material to Wikipedia repeatedly, despite clear indications that it did not meet guidelines on Wikipedia and that reposting the content was seen as inappropriate. I have to assume that you will only continue this behavior if left unblocked. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 07:07, 10 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • If you are ever unblocked, one requirement of the unblock would be that you could not re-create any of the material that you have previously written about on Wikipedia - and you would also have to go through WP:ADVENTURE or WP:TRAINING and show that you understand Wikipedia's WP:RS guidelines. We need to know that you understand what is and isn't a reliable source on Wikipedia. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 07:16, 10 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
