Speedy deletion of Parkkret[edit]

A tag has been placed on Parkkret requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, "See also" section, book reference, category tag, template tag, interwiki link, rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Soaringgoldeneagle (talk) 10:52, 27 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

August 2008[edit]

Thank you.--BaseballDetective (talk) 02:59, 28 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. I have moved the article Pakkret school to Pakkred Secondary School, since that seems to be the English language name of the school according to its website. I have removed material copied from the article Impact, Muang Thong Thani. We can't copy material from one Wikipedia article to another without giving credit to the source; it's also a problem that this information doesn't seem connected to the school. I have added as much material to the article as I could figure out in English and asked a Thai-speaking Wikipedian to give a hand, here. I hope we'll be able to establish an article on this school with information and sources about it that can help English Wikipedia readers learn more. We definitely need more articles on Thai education.

If you have questions about using the English language Wikipedia, please let me know at my talk page or address them at Wikipedia's help desk, which is typically manned around the clock by volunteers. If language is a problem, you may be able to get assistance from Thai-speaking editors through a "category" page, like . Again, welcome, and thank you. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 14:05, 28 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The article Pakkred Secondary School has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Secondary schools are not notable solely because they exist: they must meet WP:ORG. See the RFC referenced at WP:SCHOOLOUTCOMES. This article quite clearly does not meet WP:ORG - the only source is a link to the school's website, which is not reliable, secondary, or independent. No other possible sources are apparent. The article does not come close to citing significant coverage in multiple independent reliable secondary sources, and so it must be deleted on notability grounds.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
