Controversial moves[edit]

Oğuzlar, I've again restored the Monégasque article to the original title. Your move is controversial. Therefore, you must follow the procedures at WP:RM to initiate a move discussion if you think the move should occur. (You should move articles without discussion only if you have good reason to believe the move will be uncontested. Mostly, that happens when an article's title doesn't meet the Manual of Style's guidelines and needs to be adjusted for that reason.) See my edit summaries for context. • Please note that Wikipedia is not censored for any reason, including religious reasons. 331dot (talk) 15:41, 18 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I dont censor it, but I am removing it because he is a religious figure and was a companion and cousin of the prophet, an important figure in islam. So, muslims can be offended by a picture of him. Oğuzlar (talk) 16:09, 18 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Why does the encyclopaedia brittanica have a picture of a caligraphy? For the same reason. They could've put a a portrayal but, they didnt. Oğuzlar (talk) 16:12, 18 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
As I said, Wikipedia is not censored for any reason. You may call it "removing", but that's just semantics. Removing everything that offends someone out there would leave very little behind. Muslims that it might offend(it doesn't offend them all) are free to suppress the display of images themselves. 331dot (talk) 16:14, 18 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Okay then, I actually agree with you on this one. Oğuzlar (talk) 16:17, 18 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
It is sometimes necessary to reduce the shock value of images in some areas(as an example, articles about human anatomy or sexual acts generally lead off with drawings and not actual imagery of humans). If that's what you want to do, it should be discussed on the relevant article talk page first. 331dot (talk) 16:20, 18 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
    Okay. Oğuzlar (talk) 16:22, 18 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for August 1[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Hanifi Rohingya script, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Egyptian Hieroglyphs. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
