Man City end of season.

Firstly Yaya Touré leaves at the end of a season, which will be at the end of this seasons contract so the end of this seasons contract!!!! and not the beginning of the next season! Secondly Pablo Maffeo completed deal is on 14 May and not July, he heads over to Germany on 18 May. So your dates are completely wrong. Govvy (talk) 10:05, 14 May 2018 (UTC)

Germany's transfer window starts on July 1. Yaya Toure's contact expires in July. OZOO (t) (c) 10:19, 14 May 2018 (UTC)

PDC facts

Please check your facts mate, PDC site isn't always right PreciesJJ (talk) 17:43, 6 June 2018 (UTC)

No doubt you have a source which supersedes them. Pity you didn't provide it. OZOO (t) (c) 17:50, 6 June 2018 (UTC)

Well I do have all the PDC rankings, I know what I am talking about. PreciesJJ (talk) 18:15, 6 June 2018 (UTC)

Can understand you dont have all that rankings, but in that case stay away from adding these rankings. PreciesJJ (talk) 18:18, 6 June 2018 (UTC)

released players aren't transfers

They should be in two separate tables, why on earth did you combine the two back together? Govvy (talk) 10:19, 13 June 2018 (UTC)

Since when has a player leaving a club not been a transfer? OZOO (t) (c) 10:21, 13 June 2018 (UTC)
Because a transfer is a player from one club to another, being released from a club is not a transfer!! Also you messed up some of the code on a citation. Govvy (talk) 10:26, 13 June 2018 (UTC)
I just read the source it to check if Philippe Sandler was written in Pound Sterling or Euros and it says £2.6mil in the source for Sterling. Govvy (talk) 10:29, 13 June 2018 (UTC)
I don't recall mentioning Sandler. OZOO (t) (c) 10:34, 13 June 2018 (UTC)

Joe Hart squad number

Hello. Could you point where you're getting #13 from for Hart's squad number. There's no number on his profile, and I can't see where City have released this season's numbers yet? thanks, Struway2 (talk) 10:36, 21 July 2018 (UTC)

Hi, this was the shirt he wore in this morning's friendly against Dortmund. There aren't any clear images but there is this image of the team sheet and the number can be seen roughly 5:25 into the highlight video. OZOO (t) (c) 10:46, 21 July 2018 (UTC)
Wondered if that might be the case. Longstanding consensus is we can't assume that numbers worn in pre-season are going to be a player's official number for the competitive season. Reason being, it's common practice for teams to play pre-season matches in last season's numbers, or in random numbers, or for players who aren't going to get first-team numbers to play in pre-season matches. Especially a player who Pep says is on his way out. Best wait till they make an official announcement. cheers, Struway2 (talk) 11:04, 21 July 2018 (UTC)

World Series of Darts

Hi can you please remove this event from players majors. They are not regarded as majors by Darts statisticians or TV OK 217.114.169.246 (talk) 21:48, 21 November 2018 (UTC)

It is regarded as a Premier event, which is what the infobox says, as can be seen both from the order of merit rules and the fact that Van den Bergh was given £25k for his Grand Slam nine darter - indicating five events at £5k each since the Matchplay (Champions League, Grand Prix, European, World Series Finals, Grand Slam) OZOO (t) (c) 22:14, 21 November 2018 (UTC)

You are not listening to me it is Not a Major event. It does not count as a Major among statisticians or TV companies.it is just a regular TV event. Maybe the info box should be changed to majors like in the players finals section. Get rid of this premier nonsense. Darts Database does not regard it as a major on his site either. Please check it out. Regards 217.114.169.246 (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 00:36, 22 November 2018 (UTC)

The infobox says "Premier events". The PDC says "Premier events". There is no official designation of "majors". I couldn't give a care what Darts Database or "Darts statisticians" (who?) think. OZOO (t) (c) 09:53, 22 November 2018 (UTC)

And who cares what you think ?. I'd rather listen to their opinions than yours.31.200.183.84 (talk) 23:12, 27 November 2018 (UTC)

Feel free to ask them why they think the PDC is wrong about what premier events are. OZOO (t) (c) 23:14, 27 November 2018 (UTC)

Whenever you can, deliver your Messi and CR7 write-ups. (and this year you've must been busier or less inspired compared to 2017, given I wrote enough Reports to surpass you, but that's a detail) igordebraga 21:09, 27 December 2018 (UTC)

It's been a while since you helped with the report, but I wonder if you could do this week, given Boris Johnson at the top is certainly more suited for a British writer (@Stormy clouds: if your neighbor's politics interest - along with entries in basically all future Marvel movies...). igordebraga 15:19, 28 July 2019 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Kevin Burness, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Tom Jones (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 07:46, 15 December 2019 (UTC)

new darts player template!

Hello,

Just bringing to your attention that I have created a new template to help ease the inclusion of PDC player links in tournament brackets.

You can check it out here Template:PDCFlag.

Long story short, {{PDCFlag|Gary Anderson}} displays  Gary Anderson . (without having to transcribe the country code or the piped link. There are avg and bold parameters as well so {{PDCFlag|michael van gerwen|avg=123.45|b=1}} displays  Michael van Gerwen 123.45. They're also all spanned with the "nowrap" class so we can avoid having to use that.

Cheers, and I hope this makes our lives easier! If you have comments/ideas for parameters or noted bugs, please let me know. —DLManiac (talk) 23:17, 27 November 2020 (UTC)

2021 World Darts Championship

Hello, sorry if I'm being rude but could it be possible to look into the edit war going on between me and Penepi please. I just don't see what the problem is with having a separate section for the final, because having it under the main draw is confusing, and hard to find, whereas having it as a separate article is much more easier to find, but this user seems to have an issue with it. Last year's article has a separate section for the final, so I just don't see what the issue is with it. Apologies once again. L1amw90 (talk) 20:53, 2 January 2021 (UTC)

Heads up about removing the rankings templates

Hey there! Just a heads up that removing the rankings templates from the infoboxes may make life more difficult in the future. Several of these players could pop back up on the rankings via Euro tour earnings. In the mean time, the template will display them as "NR-not ranked" which may be a more clear distinction for readers. In general I'd say that the Ranking should only be left blank for retired players. DLManiac (talk) 19:46, 17 February 2021 (UTC)

Hmm. I disagree, I think 'NR' players should be players who are about to be ranked; i.e. those who have qualified for a ranking event. In any case, I don't think we should be showing World Rankings for players who currently won't be in the rankings. If the players do get in, through ProTour invites or the EuroTour, the templates can be re-added. OZOO (t) (c) 19:49, 17 February 2021 (UTC)
Hmmm yeah that;s probably more consistent accross the board. I'm gonna think on some way to generate a list of players with the template missing for when we need to re-add them. Thanks for all your hard work! DLManiac (talk) 20:33, 17 February 2021 (UTC)

New DPA stuff

Hey there, just a heads up I moved the Aussies to Module:DartsRankings/data/DPA Players. I also created "DPAFlag" and "DPAFlagR". I expect the PDC list to grow very large in due course, so anything we can do to keep them separate where we can afford to will help. DLManiac (talk) 23:09, 9 March 2021 (UTC)
