Skull pic

Hi there. Writing to let you know I nuked the image of the supposed Royal Canadian Mounted Police Emergency Response Team member bearing a skull-and-cutlass patch on his chest. I'm not sure where you got it from, but reverse image search leads back to a Flickr page where the photographer states it is in fact RCMP during a "public exhibition". For the record, the RCMP doesn't roll with skulls. That's a Hollywood thing. Aside from that, although there was a "police" legend and a Canadian flag, there were no distinguishing RCMP crests or other indications of affiliation. March Madness 2017

G'day all, please be advised that throughout March 2017 the Military history Wikiproject is running its March Madness drive. This is a backlog drive that is focused on several key areas:

• tagging and assessing articles that fall within the project's scope
• updating the project's currently listed A-class articles to ensure their ongoing compliance with the listed criteria
• creating articles that are listed as "requested" on the project's various task force pages or other lists of missing articles.

As with past Milhist drives, there are points awarded for working on articles in the targeted areas, with barnstars being awarded at the end for different levels of achievement.

The drive is open to all Wikipedians, not just members of the Military history project, although only work on articles that fall (broadly) within the military history scope will be considered eligible. More information can be found here for those that are interested, and members can sign up as participants at that page also.

The drive starts at 00:01 UTC on 1 March and runs until 23:59 UTC on 31 March 2017, so please sign up now.

Find an image, upload it, select Fair Use from the wizard, fill in the details carefully, and then fix the template correctly, and your done. My reasons for the reversion are these: The Wikipedia page is for RMMV’s Survivor R and the page content focuses on this product. The vehicle used by Austria’s EKO Cobra unit is technically not a RMMV’s Survivor R. The vehicle used by Austria’s EKO Cobra unit is Achleitner’s PMV Survivor II. Very very similar, but marketed/sold by a different company and called something entirely different. I recognize the two designs are a JV by the way. This is why in Operators (Survivor R) on the Survivor R page we cannot if we are to be accurate include a user of Achleitner’s PMV Survivor II. And that is the reason why I created a separate sub-section for the Achleitner PMV Survivor II. It allows us to cover this vehicle on the Survivor R page. 2017 Military Historian of the Year and Newcomer of the Year nominations and voting

April 2018 Milhist Backlog Drive

G'day all, please be advised that throughout April 2018 the Military history Wikiproject is running its annual backlog elimination drive. This will focus on several key areas:

• tagging and assessing articles that fall within the project's scope
• adding or improving listed resources on Milhist's task force pages
• updating the open tasks template on Milhist's task force pages
• creating articles that are listed as "requested" on the project's various lists of missing articles.

As with past Milhist drives, there are points awarded for working on articles in the targeted areas, with barnstars being awarded at the end for different levels of achievement.

The drive is open to all Wikipedians, not just members of the Military history project, although only work on articles that fall (broadly) within the scope of military history will be considered eligible. This year, the Military history project would like to extend a specific welcome to members of Wikipedia:WikiProject Women in Red, and we would like to encourage all participants to consider working on helping to improve our coverage of women in the military. This is not the sole focus of the edit-a-thon, though, and there are aspects that hopefully will appeal to pretty much everyone.

The drive starts at 00:01 UTC on 1 April and runs until 23:59 UTC on 30 April 2018. Those interested in participating can sign up here.

"Users" section of rifles

Hello,

In some articles, such as vz. 98/22 or FN Model 24 and Model 30, you added a {{unreferenced section}} tag to the "Users" section. All these users are sourced in the upper text of the page. Should I give again the citations? I would prefer to avoid adding sources in this section, in order to have a text per user, and not some users with a text and others with only a flag and a source in the user section. I thought the idea of a "Users" section was to sum up the elements of the page.--Le Petit Chat (talk) 08:44, 3 April 2019 (UTC)

Well the thing is that they're there without any citations. Usually that would raise some concerns from an editor if no references are there. I suggest that the users part in the infobox to be linked to the proper place. I also suggest that you check the vz. 24 as a guide. Maybe that can help. Ominae (talk) 11:05, 3 April 2019 (UTC)
