Speedy deletion of Markus Feldhoff[edit]

A tag has been placed on Markus Feldhoff requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. re Markus Feldhoff bogus speedy delete[edit]

Sorry. My bad. I must be getting tired or something? Think I was looking for a table in the article (see a few football player articles with those and club colour diagrams etc). And I must admit I didn't know the guy? Obviously should have done a web search. Sting_au Talk 12:59, 28 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Uxm25.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Uxm25.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Ricky81682 (talk) 02:40, 22 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Nowitzki[edit]

Good stuff! I've been tweaking things a little (as usual) but I might lay off it for a while due to work. Just to let you know, I converted the ibids to the author's last name, and also used refnames for repeated refs. I'm also looking to format all the refs soon. Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Ppsm 110.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Ppsm 110.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 07:42, 15 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for making sure I knew about Wilt's sockpuppet. I saw a few edits of things that could have been seen as debatable, and warned him about his edit summaries. I was going to go back later and check him, but you guys beat me to it. I'll delve deeper the next time anything like this happens. Thanks! Snowfire51 (talk) 23:12, 1 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Cornelia Funke again![edit]

Hi, has Wilde Hühner been translated into English. If not, I stongly dispute the translation. Hühner are chickens and chicks are Küken in German. I did a search but could not find anything for this book. Schöne Grüße TINYMARK 16:48, 19 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

TyrusThomas4lyf sock-puppet (blocked)[edit]

As you may know, Give me more information (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · page moves · block user · block log) was blocked for being a sock-puppet of TyrusThomas4lyf (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · page moves · block user · block log). For whatever reason, some of the admins I notified took no action. So, kudos to the one who did! — Myasuda (talk) 14:03, 20 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Nice to hear. I just hope that this either stops, or TT4L becomes a legit editor. —Onomatopoeia (talk) 10:06, 21 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Well, he's an idiot, he's divisive (just see Wikipedia:Requests for comment/TyrusThomas4lyf), and he's unapologetic, so I'd just as soon have the permanent block enforced. But I'm getting tired of being the de facto policeman regarding him, so if no one else wants to step up then I guess you'll be seeing more of him. — Myasuda (talk) 22:50, 1 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for contacting User:Kafziel. He's had a lot of experience with this case, so he's a good choice. — Myasuda (talk) 20:50, 2 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Narhallamarsch[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Narhallamarsch, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you agree with the deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please add {{db-author}} to the top of Narhallamarsch. —BradV 15:39, 4 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Quadruple-double[edit]

Illadelph halflife (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · page moves · block user · block log) sounds like another TyrusThomas4lyf sock-puppet, and he's adamant about removing the "unofficial" quadruple-double information from the Quadruple-double article. Would you be interested in opening a discussion at Talk:Quadruple-double regarding the "unofficial quadruple-double" section that you introduced to the article? I think that if we can get on record that there's community consensus on inclusion of the topic, then we can more easily convince admins that the TyrusThomas4lyf sock-puppet is edit warring without a leg to stand on. — Myasuda (talk) 15:39, 8 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Looks like that worked out pretty well. ;) Thanks. — Myasuda (talk) 15:53, 10 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
