Please see the discussion to see why this is (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you. Please remember to mark your edits as minor if (and only if) they genuinely are minor edits (see Help:Minor edit). Marking a major change as a minor one is considered poor etiquette. The rule of thumb is that only an edit that consists solely of spelling corrections, formatting changes, or rearranging of text without modifying content should be flagged as a 'minor edit.' Thank you. Stannered (talk) 19:09, 7 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Nanospectrum[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Nanospectrum, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Reference tags[edit]

Please note that <ref>(reference template or text)</ref> should go at the location where the reference is referred to. Then the footnote is automatically added by the <references /> or {{reflist}} markup. There is no need to go messing around with tags. Stannered (talk) 21:31, 7 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

As above your changes to Speed of light were added incorrectly: reference numbering is automatic, not manual, and corresponds to references inserted in the text, not notes. The formatting of both changes was wrong, as well as being in the wrong place. Finally extraordinary claims such as that the speed of light might not be constant need I think more support than a single reference, given the weight of evidence for it's constancy.--JohnBlackburnewordsdeeds 21:07, 13 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

September 2010[edit]

Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia, as you did to Albert Einstein. While objective prose about products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not intended to be a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Thank you. JohnBlackburnewordsdeeds 21:21, 13 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add original research or novel syntheses of previously published material to our articles as you apparently did to Albert Abraham Michelson. Please cite a reliable source for all of your information. Thank you. JohnBlackburnewordsdeeds 21:25, 13 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop adding information about your self published book to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not the place to promote your book, which by by objective measure cannot serve as a reliable source.--JohnBlackburnewordsdeeds 21:32, 13 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
