February 2022[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Rsk6400. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Austrians, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Rsk6400 (talk) 20:12, 26 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not add or change content, as you did at Germans, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Less than 48 hours ago I had to remind you of our rules for referencing. Please be sure you look at them carefully. Rsk6400 (talk) 14:15, 28 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Of course, you can answer me here or on my own talk page, but to use the thank-you-feature of WP is not a good idea, because I don't know whether you are serious or want to use irony. --Rsk6400 (talk) 16:05, 28 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Worldometer[edit]

Hello. I saw that you updated population figures for Sinhalese people, but somebody has reverted your changes. Examining them, I can see two reasons that you should be aware of:

  • Though you mentioned your source in your edit summary, you left the citation of the original source in the article. If a citation is in the article, that information being given needs to be verifiable from that source. If you want to replace outdated information based on a newer source, you actually need to replace the citation of the older source with a citation of the newer one.
  • Worldometer is considered an unreliable source and should probably never be relied on for anything. See WP:Reliable sources/Perennial sources#Worldometer for an explanation.

I see that other editors have been reverting your similar changes to a number of other articles for a while. These are equally likely the reasons for those reversions. Largoplazo (talk) 10:37, 1 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
