Confidential to Therlaender: I hear there's a job opening for a librarian at the Guantanamo Bay detainee center. Maybe I'll apply. Meanwhile, quit picking on people and do your homework.

Enchanted Forest (cont.)[edit]

I was thinking of having a sort of "summary of a summary" on the series page and a more detailed one on the book's page.

Philanthropy TfD[edit]

The action has been reversed. Thanks for the heads up, I process a huge number of TfDs, this isn't the first time I have made this mistake. Again, thanks for the heads up. RyanGerbil10(Kick 'em in the dishpan!) 17:16, 4 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

List of popular Bollywood films[edit]

What's with changing the title of an article without consulting anyone? The change is particularly offensive in that for recent years, we give both top-grossing and critically-acclaimed films. Saying that it's a list of top-grossing films ONLY is a misrepresentation. Zora 01:55, 5 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Re: House Made of Dawn[edit]

Haha, a single VP messup is causing me so much trouble... the comment you read about vandalism on my talk page wasn't made by me, it was made by an anonmymous unsigned IP who was wrongly accused of vandalism by a software bug in VP. Anyway, as far as the house of dawn thing, I think I'm just going to ignore it. I put a PROD tag on it, which can be removed, and he removed it. I could AFD it, but the guy who wrote that obviously put a lot of time into writing it... the article may not belong here, but it isn't hurting anyone, and the author would be seriously offended if it was deleted. Now, if this was some video game cruft I would AFD without hesitation. I guess I'm either a softy, or I don't want this guy spamming my talk page with angry remarks :P. Anyways, I think ignoring it would be the best path here. It's not exactly a popular article that all sorts of people will read, so the OR doesn't matter so much. --Karafias TalkContributions 05:07, 5 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • Agreed entirely. HQCentral is a pain in the arse, but at least this crap is away from the main article now. Vizjim 05:45, 5 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

And now the analysis has been deleted and he insists on reinserting the non-encyclopedic material back into the proper House Made of Dawn article. Could I please ask you to watch that page and to revert the insertion of the analysis as and when it occurs? I will be doing the same but don't want to break 3RR. Mediation has been tried and failed, and I don't think that bullying should be allowed to win. Vizjim 09:39, 7 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you! Looks as though your intervention may actually have sorted the problem out (though I'm not holding my breath), as HQCentral has now created a userspace page for the article. Vizjim 07:08, 8 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Signature[edit]

Hi! Could you please change your signature so that it links to your userpage, talk page, or contributions page? Otherwise, it's very difficult to find your userpage without looking in the page history, which would be impractical for high-traffic pages. Thanks in advance.--SB | T 21:20, 6 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah! <g> He's got a point. Map Her to User, Peg to the Talk, and ship to email. (But then you'd have to enable that! <g>) Jes piling on! // FrankB 13:34, 17 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Portal:Books[edit]

Thanks for your work! To answer your question, any assistance is great. In particular, I have difficulty finding images (which I see you've updated :]), as well as articles which are not within the scope of the Novels WikiProject/Portal. However, it can be done! but I am only one person. :] Cheers! --Keitei (talk) 22:09, 7 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

minor edits[edit]

have you set your poreferences to minor by default. The last 2 or 3 in the library etc. pages ae not minor in any sense. But no harm done, as I check them all.DGG 06:54, 9 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

where did they go?[edit]

Hi Pegship when you archived I lost the history and confirmation of recent approved stubs?....OH there they are!! Thank you so much for taking the time to help me! Goldenrowley 20:12, 9 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

sorting stubs[edit]

Your Pegship, I am currently doing work in the List of films (by year), checking if links are ok, making each year's list contain all the year's films and in some cases marking stubs. I am however not very good in sorting. I could simply put a comedy-stub in comedies but am very doubtful of judging further, plus it will take me forever if I stop and get involved in every film. If there is any easy way to be of help in sorting, let me know. Hoverfish 06:54, 12 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks[edit]

Thanks for your note of encouragement, left for me while I was on holiday. - Ballista 04:32, 15 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Actors who portrayed... catagories[edit]

Why can't you understand that I created those Actors/Actresses who portrayed... subcatagories because the Batman actors and Superman actors catagories were getting severely large. So breaking them down became much more conveinent for the user. Besides, there's only an elite number of actors who have portrayed a particular iconic comic book character like Batman and Superman (so they should get extra focus). TMC1982 14 October 2006 (UTC)

Vested interest?[edit]

Howdy :)
You might want to look in on list of fictional books which is at AfD. Cheers! (I'm a figment of yer imagination —I'm really wiki-absent! SHussssssh!) // FrankB 13:29, 17 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

American as in Honduran and Patagonian?[edit]

Why Category:American rock musician stubs? It was proposed at Category:United States rock musician stubs, and no-one objected or counter-proposed at the time... Note that all its would-be siblings are at 'United States' yadda... Alai 02:12, 18 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

If you're agreeable, no reason it can't be speedily renamed. BTW, I just noticed you have no link in your sig... is that intentional? Alai 03:56, 18 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, you're now eminently clickable. :) Alai 04:01, 18 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
