Welcome to Wikipedia from Srich32977[edit]

Hi, Polandbelarus. I welcome you to Wikipedia! Thank you for all of your edits. I hope you like editing here and being part of Wikipedia! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); when you save the page, this will turn into your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or put {{helpme}} (and what you need help with) on your talk page and someone will show up very soon to answer your questions. You also might want to consider being "adopted" by an experienced user, who can show you how Wikipedia works through a program called "Adopt-a-User". Again, welcome! S. Polandbelarus -- the problem with your edits is the result we see when they are completed. We need the references put into footnote format, not splashed out in the prose. Please click this link -> WP:TUTOR for an instruction program on how to properly edit. Thanks. --S. Rich (talk) 00:31, 2 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

You are making some good progress. But please look at the WP:MOS. For example, we do not put all that print in bold face - only the topic of the article in the first line. In this case John Stanton needs bold print, not the rest. You have improved on formatting the footnotes, bu we do not just put the references in the prose. Use the "Show preview" button, and keep trying.--S. Rich (talk) 16:02, 2 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

March 2012[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed content from John Stanton (journalist). When removing content, please specify a reason in the edit summary and discuss edits that are likely to be controversial on the article's talk page. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the content has been restored, as you can see from the page history. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you.  -- WikHead (talk) 17:44, 2 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Part of the problem is when you make several changes in each edit. You do not see the mistakes you are making. Try one small edit at a time. Use the 'Show preview' button to see what your edit produces. Check both the text and footnotes for errors. --S. Rich (talk) 18:59, 2 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Kiko didn't make the change because of any vandalism. The edit was based on WP:AGF. Don't be discouraged. --S. Rich (talk) 20:40, 2 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Good learning[edit]

Your IBD edit merits a

This website -- http://www.nationalsecurityspecialevents.net/ -- is not a Reliable Source.--S. Rich (talk) 17:34, 3 March 2012 (UTC) It is a link to a consulting company. Also, giving us http://search.whitehouse.gov/search?affiliate=wh&query=national+security+stategy&form_id=usasearch_box&submit.x=0&submit.y=0&submit=Search does not support what you are trying to say. It is a list of results from the WH website and does not contain any specific info. 17:39, 3 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

JS Notability tag[edit]

Don't be concerned about the Notability banner on JS' article. The tag actually serves to let other editors know of the concern. (That is, there are listings of such articles that editors look at with an eye towards deletion or improvement.) Those that take the time to look may be motivated to improve the article. There are articles on WP that have had such tags for years. By keeping JS on your watchlist you will be notified of any proposed deletions. (Remember, he's on my watchlist too. So I would contest any proposed WP:AfD.) The object is to improve WP, which we are doing edit-by-edit, however minor those edits are.--S. Rich (talk) 04:47, 4 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
