Persistently reverting Freddy Will's article to an outdated one

Information icon

Hello Praxidicae. What is with the editing war over the Freddy Will article which you keep trying to revert?

Respectfully, I am inviting you to STOP reverting the current article to the outdated version you appear to favor. That version is not up to date. The nature of your actions seems to be a personal bother. If that is the case, Wikipedia is not where you should address such matters. Contact Freddy Will directly to resolve any personal issues you may have with him.
I edited this information and confirm them to be TRUE. I updated this article using copyright free photos, reliably sourced data from the likes of the Los Angeles Tribune and The Hindu newspaper, his website, social media, music streaming sources among many others. I also confirmed other references added by previous editors. Can you just STOP vandalising this page? Please and kindly.
Information icon

You are attempting to discredit his work?

Why keep removing the credible sources and pointing out how they're missing? Why revert the article from the version with live links to the outdated one with dead links? Your behavior impedes my work. You say you are not an administrator, you don't delete articles etc. You can only suggest changes that might make things "better". As you are on equal footing with all confirmed editors.
Do you not know that you do not have the right to disrespect other editors' credible edits as if you are in a position of higher authority to overrule them. The article, which I edited along with many others, meets the requirements for information about living persons. What is your reason for deleting the reliable sources only to open talk pages to discredit the accolades based on the missing data you've deleted? Is that not vandalism? You delete the information in one interface, then go on another to ask where it is? [1]
Information icon

It is as if you have a personal grudge that motivates you to remove every new update/edit show his progress after 2018. You do not have the right to do so.

Are you not fully aware that the reason certain data is missing is that you have deleted them. You contacted me to make accusations about "undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic." Then you ignored my response denying your accusation [2] to make another accusation on a separate talk page. This time you were contesting his Grammy nomination after deleting the quotes of the program organisers who praised his performance on the album.

[3] [4] [5]

Information icon

If you don't understand how Grammy nominations and awards are issued just educate yourself. I responded to your second accusation with several links showing verifiable proof that the grammy nomination is real.

You've also ignored that and made a third accusation that the world renowned Phila Mirror [6]] a reputable Indian philatelic census website that cited Freddy Will's postage stamps [7] "isn't a reliable source, and the source itself doesn't give any detail (and appears to be self published) on the supposed Grammy nomination." Who are you to deny all this? What qualification do you hold that allows you to make these kinds of determinations that the Los Angeles Tribune [8], Phila Mirror or The Hindu Newspaper [9] are not credible? Do you research your claims before you make them? Please STOP reverting this article to its outdated version. User:Nadimir 09:28, 8 January 2021 (UTC)

Some corrections for the Freddy Will article

Who published his first three books?

I am not saying something is wrong with self-publishing but it is misinformation to put in the article that Freddy Will self-published his first three books. He did not start as a publisher. He signed a three books deal with Soul Asylum Poetry and Publishing Inc. [10] to publish his first three books as well as a music distribution deal for their accompanying albums. He did NOT self-publish those books. The owner of Soul Asylum Poetry and Publishing Inc. is Ken Cowle [11]. The books were edited by Charles Ross, [12] editor in chief of SAP&P Inc. The three books are: My Book of Chrymes, The Dark Road from Romarong, and Hip Hop Kruzade.
This information is found within the physical copies of the books or in the detail section of the book in online bookstores. Google the books and see the name of the publisher. Freddy Will was one of many authors under Ken Cowle's publishing company in Canada. He wrote the manuscript, recorded the music (with Eddie Bullen). Soul Asylum Poetry and Publishing Inc. edited and published them. Ken Cowle also owned Double K Records [13]. That is how Freddy Will's books were published and released with accompanying albums. Freddy Will's song for the Grammy nominated album is released under Double K Records.

Self-publishing

I guess Ken Cowle became fond of Freddy Will because he mentored him for ten years. He taught Freddy Will how to publish and encouraged him to become a publisher. Years later, Freddy Will started his own company. He self-published seven eBooks. Those eBooks he calls, Sandmann’s Journal. They are different from the first three books. The moment you say Freddy Will self-published all of his books you take credit from Soul Asylum Poetry and Publishing Inc.

About his Grammy nomination

I am confused why this artist's claim to his Grammy nomination is upsetting. The album is credited as a various artist album. When a various artist album is nominated that means every artist and producer on the album is a nominee. It is similar when a sports team wins a championship. Everybody in the team including the substitute players are champions. It was a team effort.
Jim Cravero, [14] a Grammy winning music producer, engineer, and owner of East Coast Recording, [15] who produced the album once wrote: “Freddy Will, American rapper, songwriter and author has contributed to this CD project in the most wonderful way. The title of his track is Future and it speaks to us, as adults/parents about what children need from us and the things that are harmful to our children. He tells the kids that they are the Future and asks the adults to make the way for them. It is a great song that Freddy wrote for us to share with you. Please visit his page and learn about this multi-talented artist and listen to some of his tracks!” [16], [17], Jim Cravero's comment was deleted from FW's Wikipedia and his contribution minimised from artist to featuring artist.
To verify any information about an entertainer most times all one has to do is visit their social media. They post everything. There are even detailed conversations in the comments section. The postage stamps happened. Phila Mirror [18] is correct. The stamp ceremony was an impressive event. [19], [20]. A white person would never need this much confirmation.
Here he even holds the Grammy certificate which does not say he was a feature. [21], [22] So, his peers congratulate him as their colleague, the executive producer praises his contribution, his proud father published articles about this on his newspaper but when someone from Wikipedia does not believe it, that means this Grammy nomination is exaggerated? That is unfair. [23],[24], Musicians do not generally lie about things like this. Clearly ten years later certain websites are now deleted or inactive.

Collaborations with Juno and Grammy award winners

I am not asking for anything, only to clarify that the information I added in the article are not false. Two of his songs - Providence [25] and Save [26] - are produced by Eddie Bullen (Juno winner and Jazz musician from Toronto) [27], [28] and featured Carvin Winans (5-time Grammy winner/US Gospel singer). [29] Carvin introduced Freddy to philanthropy. Eddie Bullen produced another song that features Liberty Silver [30] (a Grammy nominee and Juno award winner from Toronto). [31]
Eddie Bullen produced all of Freddy’s albums who also recorded hits with Kao Denero [32], who is popular in Africa. I discovered this from the credits on his albums (Spotify, Apple Music, etc.). I did this research before editing his Wikipedia article.

Freddy Will’s personal life

He married a Canadian with Grenadian roots. [33] Page 65, #3. I know this from social media. His wife come from a Liberal Canadian partisan family. Her mother is Dr. Jean Augustine PC CM OOnt CBE, [34] a Grenadian Canadian from the Canadian House of Commons. This wife herself was a board member on a Caribbean committee and Consul General of Grenada’s embassy in Canada. She was promoted to an ambassador and commissioned to open the Grenadian embassy in Brussels and the European Union. [35],[36] Freddy Will may also be a Trade Attache at the Embassy of Trinidad and Tobago in Brussels.
Freddy Will moved from Canada to Belgium to be a diplomat. He transferred his company and bought a home in Germany. You discover this from social media, print magazines in the Caribbean community or offline research. He was also in several Indian movies [37] and print magazines that are not on the internet. This information was not in his reverted Wikipedia article. That article spoke of his personal life as a master mason in a grand lodge of Canada when he is a family man, a publisher and a diplomat with homes in the United States, Canada, Belgium, and Germany. There is a minimisation and distortion of his accolades.

Why I reverted the article

The updated one showed his full discovery and bibliography. The version I applied was closest to the truth. I was not advertising anything. I corrected his personal life section and added some information based on his interviews and articles that I read.
The version that is currently published has distorted information. It claims his first three books are self-published when Soul Asylum Poetry and Publishing Inc. published them. It also claims he was featured on the Grammy nomination. Freddy Will wrote, composed, and performed as one of the main artists on the album of various artists. [38]

Source of information

Much of the information we know about entertainers come from their self. They go on TV or radio to do interviews. Some celebrities own a radio station, podcast, blog, television station, magazine, publishing company, or record label. This is common among black entertainers when they are not given the same opportunities as those who are not black.
The mainstream media gets its information directly from the celebrities and their family members who tell them the story during interviews. Even if you read Forbes, or Rollingstone the information was sourced from the entertainer or the people around them.
All research cannot be made on websites. Companies go out of business. People may delete articles during website update. A website or story may not be published forever. The information may be lost one day. If we had obtained information through websites only, these sources become permanent dead links in the future. For example, ISBN of published information that is archived in a permanent database, social media posts, newspaper and magazine clippings, etc may not be on some media websites.

Why I researched and edited his article

I will also say this. I believe I was wrongfully accused of a conflict of interest. Probably because I edited Freddy Will’s page with much detail? Here in Germany, we try to raise awareness realisation of unique persons within the Afriopolitan community. We encourage people who make positive efforts. Freddy Will does not fit the stereotypical profile of rappers or even black men for that matter.
He is a respected husband and father who writes books to publish and does positive things like philanthropy. Once trapped in wars and poverty, such a person has risen in the US, Canada, Belgium, Germany, etc. Coming to become a diplomat, Grammy nominee, and be in postage stamps. And he appears to be continuing his rise.
People like this should be encouraged as an example that inspires. We can be restricted and sentence people according to guidelines and rules that block them, or we can be humanistic and negotiate with reverence. Participate in meaningful conversations, understand, and find common ground. I am not doing any of this to look good. Nadimir (talk) 07:28, 11 January 2021 (UTC)

One new redirect each time. Hiding comments? I have said it before. I did not dare to believe in the beginning until I saw how many personalities appeared to fight this man behind his back. I am now a believer. Blacks are attacked. Think about it. Even after crippling his article to extract complementary details, this man remains a giant. This, while ignoring the montage I have fought. Calling him a self publisher only confirms his brilliance. He is so keen to write and publish books and then distribute them to general bookstores worldwide.

We have not even touched the music. He was ONLY "featured" in this children's collection album? He was not one of the main artists? The Recording Academy mistakenly gave him this Grammy certificate? [39] They made a huge error! They gave a Grammy nominee certificate to an artist who was only FEATURED on this album. Even when we reject information, hide comments or ignore them, it does not change anything. Even when we liken it to fake ads. His Grammy nominee certificate says he is an ARTIST and not a FEATURE.

Now, how can one get a national postage stamp? This author had four of them ten years ago. I am looking at them right now. Similar stamps have Elvis Presley, John Lennon, Jimi Hendrix, Johnny Cash, Michael Jackson, Paul McCartney. [40]. The gods of Wikipedia must hide this comment as well. This will not change anything. It does not matter how one turns or hides it. Look! His stamps are everywhere! [41], [42], [43]. It seems if we accept it or not, even if it is in Wikipedia or not, his legacy for grammy, stamps, books and music is there to stay. What happens when a self published book becomes a bestseller? He has ten of them. They are all over the place. [44] Nadimir (talk) 13:28, 16 January 2021 (UTC)

No opinion on the rest of this mess, but "Grammy nomination" is technically true but misleading at best. He recorded one of the 31 tracks on an album which was a nominee in the "Best Spoken Word Album for Children" category; describing him as a Grammy nominee is akin to describing The Phantom Menace as "Oscar nominated". ‑ Iridescent 15:12, 16 January 2021 (UTC)

Improvement of Gagan Gupta article

Hello Praxidicae, I saw your deletion request on Gagan Gupta article. Thank you for your help and monitoring on this article. Indeed, I am a regular contributor on french wikipedia but I'm quite new on the english community and i may make mistakes. This article is a translation of the french one. As I think that the subject is eligible, I am trying to rewrite it. Do you have tips or pieces of advice to achieve a good basic article? Regards, Rastapeuplulos (talk) 09:20, 15 January 2021 (UTC)

I think it's very rude how you (Praxidicae) didn't reply to Rastapeuplulos (either here or on the article's talk page) and just kept pushing for speedy deletion at Gagan Gupta. The article has been substantially revised and, while its contents may be debated, it is definitely not the kind of blatant advertisement that warrants a speedy deletion. Regarding this edit, I'm fairly certain anyone can contest a speedy deletion, and since two people in addition to myself have already done so, I think it would be appropriate to submit the article to AfD if you still believe it should be deleted. I will not remove the speedy deletion template any more lest I start an edit war. --Un assiolo (talk) 16:17, 16 January 2021 (UTC)

Speedy deletion of an article I wrote

Hi Praxidicae, You recently flagged a page I published called Peter O'Brien (artist, writer, editor) for "speedy deletion" and it has been deleted. I cannot access any of the information and formatting that I spent many hours working on. I am not sure why it was deleted so quickly. I know you cannot restore the page, but I am looking for your advice. Do you know why it was deleted? Is it possible for me to access the information that I wrote somehow? Peter O'Brien is a published author and artist who has exhibited internationally, and so I am not sure why the page I created for him was deleted.

Thank you.

Response from ScubaDragon

Hello, I'm sorry I seem to be causing problems. I originally set up the page in 2016 or so. I was supposed to finish it, but did not. I was asked to finish the page using information taken directly from his web site.....those are his wishes. So I went to the web site, cut and pasted, and that seems to have been wrong. I then received instructions that I should write him a letter requesting his permission to use the material and send the letter, along with his response granting me permission to use the material, to permissions-common@wikimedia.org. I did this yesterday. I then took screen shots of the material I intend to use and uploaded it to the Commons, following the directions as I understood them. I am not sure how to proceed from here. I am NOT paid, I receive no compensation for this in any way. He is a friend of mine. How should I move forward? I had thought it would be clear - the deletions, without any edits summary explaining rationale, of notable people. As well as the deletions of years of birth. As well as the deletion of the word noted - for a list where everyone is notable in order to be on the list. The lack of edit summary made it all puzzling indeed.--2603:7000:2143:8500:CC54:B8AB:43B4:765D (talk) 00:10, 23 January 2021 (UTC)

Article: Uwern Jong

Hi User:Praxidicae I have noted you moved my article into the draftspace. I have declared on the article talk page that I have absolutely no conflict of interest or affiliation this person bar being in the same industry. I have reviewed the article and all the citations are verified – including the BBC, New York Times, Campaign Magazine, Travel Weekly, Travel Trade Gazette, Marketing Week, Daily Express, Travel & Leisure and Inpublishing. All respective mainstream publication as well as specific publications to the industry, so I'm not sure what more I can do to meet the guidelines. I understand the reason you've done so, but all my citations are reliable, independent and verifiable. Thank you in advance. MorganLoys (talk) 17:25, 26 January 2021 (UTC)

Care to explain how you are the copyright holder if the image in that case? CUPIDICAE💕 17:32, 26 January 2021 (UTC)
User:Praxidicae, Yes absolutely. As declared in the talk page, I have met Mr. Jong, for a few seconds at a conference in Chicago, where this photo was taken and he was speaking in 2018. I am a retired travel industry photographer and business journalist. The few seconds of our interaction was when I stopped Mr. Jong to take his picture. When the picture was published, he said that he liked it and his publicist asked if he could use it, of which I agreed to it free of charge and received no compensation for its use. So it is technically already Creative Commons/in the public space because I have no desire to benefit commercially from it and many publications have been using it. That is the extent of our interaction. So I am the copyright holder of the image and being new to Wiki I want to write/edit about diversity and inclusion, especially LGBTQ in the travel industry, I used content from all my work and knowledge of the industry in the past to create this article, and hopefully more. As a journalist I understand where you're coming from and admire your vigilance, but I don't feel I am in violation of any guidelines. Should I be more explicit on declaring this in the article and image Talk page? Because I think that's somewhat overdeclaring? But if you think it is important, I can do so. MorganLoys (talk) 18:23, 26 January 2021 (UTC)
Hi User:Praxidicae you never responded? :( in the meantime someone in the draft space uploaded another image of Mr. Jong, which is also fine by me...and I’ve been in to neutralise all the language and cite the best citations only.

Hi. It is regarding your deletion tag. As I know her personally and due to being from my country, I know that she is a notable person in Sri Lanka. Earlier in Wikipedia, there was a discussion about its notability. However, with international recognition in modeling career and international cinema career, I hope that, the article should KEEP. In my country, representing in a foreign film in foreign language is highly notable thing. I think you know about that. You have highlighted that as a page that was previously deleted via a deletion discussion, is substantially identical to the deleted version, and any changes do not address the reasons for which the material was deleted. See the previous discussion. See CSD G4. But I can assure that the previous version of the article and current version are not identical. Earlier, some one has made the article, but this time, I have created the page with my own pattern. So it is not identical. If you can, assess the previous one and current versions. I think, the article covers both WP:GNG and WP:NACTOR. As I have created many articles for my couuntry's celebrities, this is also a notable one. Thank You. Cheers. Folding shopping cart

Hi! I noticed you removed the page I created today, "Folding shopping cart," and now it redirects to "Shopping cart." A folding shopping cart and a shopping cart are two different things; the former is used by people without a vehicle to carry their groceries home; the latter is supplied by supermarkets to their customers for use inside their premises. I decided to create this page precisely because there is nothing about folding shopping carts on Wikipedia. I know the article was unreferenced, but that's because I couldn't get any information about this type of cart from "authoritative" sources. --OndinaPDX (talk) 02:45, 29 January 2021 (UTC)

After going through the book only, I wrote the article because wellness is a factor as our generation approaching to an unhealthy atmosphere. I wrote on the book & author simultaneously because I realized the book is published in 2012 after a research in Royal London Hospital for Integrated Medicine and it was missing in Wikipedia.

You wrote about SEO and all that. If u really realize, its published in 2012 and doesn't not have any webpage or site which would get optimized by it. Just let me know what would be optimized and which kind of backlink you are expecting without a target source like site or webpage. Yes, this kind of practice people do for optimization but I declare nothing is done here with this articles.

You are mistaken and misunderstood – I am not being directly or indirectly compensated for my edits. I do everything voluntarily for Wikimedia and edited almost 1088 edits in 13 projects as of now, even organized several edit-a-thons from my wallet, how can you judge me like this?

Please delete my both the creations if you still feel financial transactions involved, & the article is not relevant. Or please remove all lines if sound promotional, unethical and if you found it not abiding our protocols, but don't let it keep in draft which i can't edit further.

Caps were to highlight my points only, nothing to make it rude intentionally, I apologize if my lines were hurt you. just you have misunderstood things. The Photo you see had taken by me in 2018 in a seminar in India along with others, where people from 8 different countries were gathered. I reworked the photo to crop it before uploading. If its not adhering our protocols then, can delete the article.

My Page

Hi, I saw you reviewed the page I created. It is the third time the page gets reviewed. After the first review I added a great number of new reliable outside neutral sources. The professor is very highly revered in the minority Druze community and the information I provided is all backed up by proper reliable references. It seems that since the references are mainly in languages you are not necessarily familiar with, you tended to believe that they are not reliable sources. The previous reviewer only asked to add more references and so I did. I would appreciate it if you accept this draft since it is important for the Druze community to acknowledge their highly revered scholars and pioneering women. Thank you for your time. Question about sources

Hello, I have seen that you are reverting some my changes on article Giovanni Morassutti. It seems to me that some of the sources that you are restoring are not only no reliable sources but also deadlinks while the ones that I have recently added, in my humble opinion, should be fine, according to the guidelines. Can you please explain it further ? Thanks--Doratig (talk) 17:22, 7 February 2021 (UTC)

WP:BLP explains it adequately. You cannot use Wikipedia as a source, you cannot use unreliable sources and you cannot use circular sources or user generated sources. CUPIDICAE💕 17:23, 7 February 2021 (UTC)

SEO Spam?

Hello Praxidicae, I was looking through Draft:Sheikh Asif which several socks of a user have been desperately trying to get into article space when I came across this source. It looks like a SEO spam site to me, especially with the "pricing" section. Would you mind having a look over it and any other sources you see fit for inclusion in User:Praxidicae/fntest? Thanks, Pahunkat (talk) 18:05, 7 February 2021 (UTC)

It's a press release site, so not technically blackhat SEO, but they will publish literally anything sent to them for a fee, so it's not reliable. CUPIDICAE💕 18:06, 7 February 2021 (UTC)
Out of curiosity, would press release sites be included under WP:SPONSORED? I would assume so, but I'm not sure if it's covered somewhere else. Perryprog (talk) 18:10, 7 February 2021 (UTC)
I would not trust a website that will publish anything for a fee without any sort of cursory verification, especially when it's something that should be verifiable in independent sources. In this case, it's not reliable because of the extent to which the person has gone to spam the internet with themselves imo. CUPIDICAE💕 18:14, 7 February 2021 (UTC)

Civility

Following up on Wikipedia:Administrators'_noticeboard#Continued_discussion_after_unblock_granted, in that comparison, I was not advocating that Wikipedia deal with misbehavior by editors as the U.S. justice system deals with misbehavior by criminals. I was advocating that the level of civility in the discussion between editors should be similar to the level of civility in the discussions between lawyers. -- Beland (talk) 23:56, 7 February 2021 (UTC)

When I said "you should probably stop digging that hole", it was not an invitation to go to various talk pages and double down on your bad block and faulty logic. CUPIDICAE💕 23:59, 7 February 2021 (UTC)
Like I said on the WP:AN/I thread, I accept the consensus of administrators that EEng should be unblocked, and they were. I came here to correct what appeared to be a misunderstanding of what I had written, and I did not want anyone to have a false impression of my position. I am also interested in coming to a common agreement on what degree of incivility administrators think we should be concerned about, to guide future enforcement. For some, that may have been in the issue in this case, but for others the objection seems to be purely procedural, which is fine. -- Beland (talk) 00:22, 8 February 2021 (UTC)
@Beland: "I was advocating that the level of civility in the discussion between editors should be similar to the level of civility in the discussions between lawyers." which is unfortunate, as one is tempted to refer to the reply given in the case of Arkell v. Pressdram in 1971. But one shall not. One shall rise above such behaviour. Nick (talk) 00:13, 8 February 2021 (UTC)
@Nick: I did not know what you were talking about so I had to look it up; based on [46] it appears that was not an actual court case and certainly not a discussion in a courtroom that was being held to any level of civility. -- Beland (talk) 00:22, 8 February 2021 (UTC)

Janko de Beer

Good Morning,

Unfortunately you are mistaken – I am NOT being directly or indirectly compensated by the artist and or any person affiliated with the topic. Last year I proposed "Janko de Beer" as an article for creation and was submitted through the articles for creation process. The draft article was approved by WikiPedia and moved to the main article pages, as can be seen in the timeline\history of the articles creation.

I am currently busy with a wikipedia project (started during our covid lockdown), focusing on notable artists from South Africa with no direct or indirect compensation by the artist or any person affiliated with the topic. I love writing and doing research in the art industry and am doing this project for free. I selected a couple of noteworthy South African artists like Lionel Smit, Riaan van Zyl, Mbongeni Buthelezi to name but a few, to include on wikipedia's database of knowledge.

Janko de Beer from Cape Town, SA was the first on my list, it took me nearly 5 months of research before attempting the draft article on my first topic. The draft was accepted and the article moved to the wikipedia main page.

I am currently working on Riaan van Zyl an artist based in the Boland of South Africa and will start my draft within the next couple of months.

Anyhow, I would appreciate it if you can put the article back up onto the wikipedia main space, seeing that a lot of work went into creating the article and because no wikipedia rules and regulations were broken in creating such article.

Appreciate your concern, but I believe that this response will put you at ease.

Hear from you soon.

Best regards, Trevor HughesTrevor (talk) 13:30, 10 February 2021 (UTC)

The name is “Hidden Spring,” not “Hidden Springs;” the latter is a misspelling. Please correct this. TE(æ)A,ea. (talk) 18:35, 10 February 2021 (UTC).

As I previously noted, none of the sources call it Hidden Spring. If you would please provide a source that supports it being called Hidden Spring, that'd be great. CUPIDICAE💕 18:37, 10 February 2021 (UTC)
  • The Census declares it “Hidden Spring,” which is what matters. Do you want a hyper-link for that? TE(æ)A,ea. (talk) 18:43, 10 February 2021 (UTC).
Yes, please link to it because literally every source from the government, including USGS lists it as "Hidden Springs", including the towns own website, their schools and google maps. CUPIDICAE💕 18:46, 10 February 2021 (UTC)
TE(æ)A,ea. In fact, the Census explicitly says otherwise. CUPIDICAE💕 18:54, 10 February 2021 (UTC)
The data says Hidden Springs, their own website says Hidden Springs, Google Map says Hidden Springs and most every source that isn't user generated says Hidden Springs. I would encourage you to get consensus if you think that this is incorrect. CUPIDICAE💕 18:57, 10 February 2021 (UTC)
  • The second ref in the article https://geonames.usgs.gov/apex/f?p=gnispq:3:::NO::P3_FID:2585573 shows "Spring" as a variant name of "Springs". Since all other sources say "Springs", that's what we should go with. --Floquenbeam (talk) 19:03, 10 February 2021 (UTC)
    • USGS is not reliable for place existence; numerous articles called places have been deleted because they were, in fact, not places. As I have said, the Census clearly gives “Hidden Spring” as the name, as USGS notes, and it gives no source for the supposed alternate “Hidden Springs.” TE(æ)A,ea. (talk) 19:08, 10 February 2021 (UTC).
TE(æ)A,ea. I provided you with the CENSUS which calls it Hidden Springs as of 2019. Their own town charter, website, schools, maps and assessor call it Springs, which means it is Springs for the purpose of Wikipedia. Can you elaborate on why, per Wikipedia policy or consensus USGS is not reliable? CUPIDICAE💕 19:09, 10 February 2021 (UTC)
  • The USGS database was formerly used as a source for the existence of places, but it has been found to include non-places as places. I do not know where this policy would be found, but that is the state of the matter. TE(æ)A,ea. (talk) 19:12, 10 February 2021 (UTC).
Well, I am but one editor and I'm simply reiterating Wikipedia norms, consensus and policy. If you disagree, feel free to start an RFC or start an WP:RM. CUPIDICAE💕 19:15, 10 February 2021 (UTC)
I think it was probably a typo on the part of the Census, because even their own assessor/GIS, as well as the Census, their own website, charter, schools etc... go with Springs. See assessor. CUPIDICAE💕 19:06, 10 February 2021 (UTC)
  • I don't understand how Prax can deal with this kind of person day in, day out, and not go insane. --Floquenbeam (talk) 19:14, 10 February 2021 (UTC)

Your edits to Leticia Cáceres

Hi @Praxidicae:, I have noted your recent indiscriminate deletion of content on the Leticia Cáceres article, it seems to be a knee-jerk reaction that does not WP:AGF. All of the content was cited in accordance with WP:GNG and compliant with WP:COI. I'd like to invite you to review your edit. Thank you for your time. MisterTech (talk) 13:40, 11 February 2021 (UTC)

(talk page watcher) @MisterTech: As a paid editor, you are strongly discouraged from editing the page directly and you should indeed be filing edit requests instead (handy wizard here). If you do edit directly, you definitely shouldn't be removing {{COI}} maintenance tags (for reasons that should be pretty obvious). The content you added was promotional; leads aren't for award listings. Reverting that edit isn't assuming bad faith (accusing people of doing so is, though), it's invoking BRD. Blablubbs|talk 14:05, 11 February 2021 (UTC)
MisterTech I would also like to clarify something before you continue lecturing me. You advertise your services to your clients and get paid to edit. Someone who advertises experience in any given platform should understand what they are doing, which means understanding that platforms terms of use and requirements and not rely on unpaid, volunteer editors to simplify it for you. You seem to have made somewhat of an effort to disclose but have failed to abide by the rest of the policy, specifically the following:
Additionally, paid editors must provide links to the user page(s) of their Wikipedia account(s) on each website on which they advertise, solicit or obtain paid editing services, as well as in direct communications with each client and potential client (such as through email). If the paid editor has used or controlled more than one Wikipedia account, each account must be disclosed.
You have also failed to disclose your clients. A blanket "I get paid to edit" isn't sufficient when you're publishing different content for different clients. I am capable of assuming good faith while also determining your edits are inappropriate and saying as much isn't bad faith. I suggest you take a more thorough read of our policies. CUPIDICAE💕 14:22, 11 February 2021 (UTC)
@Blablubbs:, I agree on the COI tag, that was a mistake. If the lead was not an appropriate summary of the article, surely it would have been better just to revert that one sentence rather than the whole article?
@Praxidicae:, my aim is not to lecture, only to improve the article. I do not advertise my Wikipedia editing services. The client is disclosed in the edit summary.— Preceding unsigned comment added by MisterTech (talkcontribs)
So how do clients find you, MisterTech? Are you not the operator of a Freelancer and Upwork account? Also please learn to WP:SIGN your comments. CUPIDICAE💕 14:51, 11 February 2021 (UTC)
@Praxidicae:, yes, I operate accounts on those websites and I am happy to update my user page to include links. Thank you for pointing this out. Please can I invite you again to review your edit, where you may have removed content and citations that add useful knowledge to the article.MisterTech (talk) 15:20, 11 February 2021 (UTC)

Draft page Jeff Bourns

To whom it may concern,

I am unsure where you are getting data stating that anyone was paid to create this page. People have called me and I have told them I do not have the money due to present and future medical bills. So when it comes to the article no money has been exchanged for anything. If anything, I had to reach out to a photographer to fill out a ticket number to validate the photograph he took. No money was exchanged. I hope you have a nice 2021 but unsure why you believe money was exchanged for this article being written. I am new to Wikipedia. Ashish Chanchlani

Hi Praxidicae, thanks for G4 tagging Ashish Chanchlani – I was on the verge of doing that but then I wasn't 100% sure that the article is sufficiently similar to the one that was deleted. What should matter is whether the issues from the AfDs have been resolved here, and I agree with you that they have not been, Forbes India 30 under 30 and the Nickelodeon award notwithstanding (those are really the only two things that have changed). Like yourself, I take a dim view of promotional editing and covert spamming, and this is such a long-standing promotional campain... --bonadea contributions talk 10:57, 12 February 2021 (UTC)

Bonadea Also fwiw, the Nickelodeon thing is sourced to Latestly, which is basically a PR service and this super stellar source, so in terms of coverage it's worthless and I would expect there to be, you know, organic coverage of such things if it were notable in regard to the subject...CUPIDICAE💕 11:00, 12 February 2021 (UTC)

There have been 2 other AFDS - and now a third, the first two of which were nominated by Neurofreak and closed by an impartial admin as delete twice, a DRV with ample discussion, closed as endorse and you're here complaining and wasting other editors time with frivolous filings because you can't be bothered to read WP:CONSENSUS or WP:RS. CUPIDICAE💕 19:39, 12 February 2021 (UTC)
Apologies but I had no other choice left as my edits were being reverted stating that the references are unreliable? That I failed to understand How?, all I was doing is that I was trying to Improve the article Dtt1Talk 19:42, 12 February 2021 (UTC)
Your edits were reverted because you and only you are tendentiously editing. Please stay off my talk page going forward unless policy requires you to notify me of something. I have wasted enough of my own time trying to explain basic policy to you and this is a time sink. Thanks. CUPIDICAE💕 19:44, 12 February 2021 (UTC)
Why you simply denying the fact that you applied a CSD to the article which got declined by Barkeep49 because like me he also saw that the references were completely different and were reliable enough to keep the article as per GNG, Ain't Nominating it unnecessarily is wasting other editors time too ?Dtt1Talk 19:46, 12 February 2021 (UTC)
He declined the G4 because it did not meet that criteria. It was not a blanket ban on AFDing it. Further, I asked you to leave me alone and stay off my talk page, Dtt1, so respect that. CUPIDICAE💕 19:48, 12 February 2021 (UTC)
I'm just confirming that I declined to use a speedy deletion criteria, WP:G4, because I did not think the current article met the criteria. That is it was significantly identical to an article that had been deleted after a deletion discussion. I have stated no opinion about the notability of the topic because I don't have one. And Praxidicae is correct that if an article is not eligible for G4 it is still eligible to be nominated for deletion and that to do so is not disruptive (presuming standard efforts, such as WP:BEFORE, have been followed). Your good changes were reversed

Great work on cleaning up this article: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rhonda_Vetere however your changes have been reversed adding back the resume like content. Mind revisiting this article? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jasonjacobs79 (talkcontribs) 22:29, 12 February 2021 (UTC)

Valentine Greets!!!

Valentine Greets!!!

Hello Praxidicae, love is the language of hearts and is the feeling that joins two souls and brings two hearts together in a bond. Taking love to the level of Wikipedia, spread the WikiLove by wishing each other Happy Valentine's Day, whether it be someone you have had disagreements with in the past, a good friend, or just some random person.
Sending you a heartfelt and warm love on the eve,
Happy editing,

D💘ggy54321 (xoxo😘) 03:38, 14 February 2021 (UTC)

Spread the love by adding {{subst:Valentine Greetings}} to other user talk pages.

Hello, I’m writing to you with regard to an absolutely notable and verifiable (in my opinion) draft present at Draft:Souhardya_De and am requesting you to re-review it for you’re an experienced editor and only extended confirmed users can create the page (maybe due to edit conflicts earlier). I had a talk with administrator User:Anachronist and he suggested me to remove the IMDb source, which cannot be used as a reference, which I have done. I don’t know why the creator User:Nikita_Manzi has not been talking about this but I feel that the other citations are detailed and are from top media houses and publications in India. Let me know after you give it a look on whether the sources are reliable or what exactly you find unreliable ‘cause being very honest, I didn’t spot such, in Indian standards. And yes, Happy Valentine’s Day greetings to you! Thanks and Regards, Rohan9082 (talk) 07:25, 14 February 2021 (UTC)Rohan9082

deletion of my page "Natural Quantum Communication"

Dear Editor, I have realized that my page "Natural Quantum Communication" has been deleted because of possibly misunderstanding or lack of info. Because this idea is already proven and supported by a Journal paper. (I suggest to read that paper to realize its importance as below) https://dx.doi.org/10.1117/1.OE.59.3.033102 The other reason is, there is no evidence of any name or institution in the text exposed to readers. That means I am making emphasis on its content and importance rather than any personal or institutional popularity.

Thanks Dr. Orun — Preceding unsigned comment added by Orunab (talkcontribs) 18:42, 14 February 2021 (UTC)

Help

Hi, this is for Draft:Fat Angelo's I am seeking guidance and want to submit the page for review. I hired someone to do the page but that turned out pretty bad. Now a colleague told me ask from you about this scenario. I want to fulfill any requirements and declarations in question. Thank you in advance. ChZ111 (talk) 14:45, 13 February 2021 (UTC)

As a matter of principle and policy, I do not help companies that violate our terms of use, nor do I help editors who do so. CUPIDICAE💕 14:47, 13 February 2021 (UTC)

I didn't get that? I wasn't aware of any policy and I am not well versed in editing Wiki's. I just need to submit it properly so please help. Why would anyone deliberately violate policies. Hope you understand and help thanks.ChZ111 (talk) 13:38, 16 February 2021 (UTC)

Hi! I see this has been deleted many times already. Is this current incarnation similar enough to the previous ones? Do you reckon it should still be speedied? I've put a UPE notice on the creator as they seem to be very determined to push this article through no matter what and their behaviour is consistent with paid editing, in my opinion. Istrapedia

Hi there, you just reverted my edits on Istrapedia. I'm the creator of the article and I oppose its deletion. I think the article is well sourced, and I don't understand why it's being discussed, and why was it named for speedy deletion instead of earning a tag requesting improvement? thanks.--William.the.Loud (talk) 15:17, 17 February 2021 (UTC)

You know why I reverted you. You are not only blocked, but globally locked to the tune of 30+ accounts. Stop editing and go away. You'll continue to be reverted and your edits will continue to be deleted. CUPIDICAE💕 15:17, 17 February 2021 (UTC)

Honestly thanks

For opening this AFD I uncovered yet another UPE ring I didn’t even know existed see this SPI, both of which !voted a suspicious keep in the aforementioned AFD. There seems to be at least one more editor affiliated with that ring, I’m still investigating that & would open another SPI once I get all my evidence ready. So yeah, thanks. Biffy Perdu

Hi there, I see that you have flagged the Biffy Perdu band page I had created for speedy deletion. I don't understand why... Could you clarify? It is listed as strictly to promote an entity. I don't understand this conclusion. The band isn't active anymore but was quite active in the early 00s, and was instrumental for the development of the music and artistic careers of several of its members. I did name some of the non-arts related projects which the members are now involved in - is this the reason? If so, I thought it was relevant to include, but I've since deleted those mentions. I've moved it to draft mode until I better understand how to adapt. Also, the same thing happened when you flagged the Shane Watt page I'd created, for the same reason and again, I didn't understand the rationale for the speedy deletion... I'd appreciate if you could clarify.

Proposed article on Joseph Ribas

Thank you for moving my article "Joseph Ribas (French author)" into draft space. I realise that I should have put it there in the first place.

You say that the article "needs more citations from reliable, independent sources."

In fact, all the material in the article is based upon information in the two sources cited in the article. I would suggest that both sources qualify as reliable and independent.

One is a highly respected French publication which is managed by the "Association des amis du musée pyrénéen de Lourdes".

The other is the website of an association which was established jointly in 2018 by the French government and the Occitanie Region. The association is also listed on a Wikipédia page concerning the Fédération interrégionale pour le livre et la lecture.

Wikipedia pages concerning Joseph Ribas have already appeared in French and Catalan, in both cases with rather less information and fewer cited sources than in my draft English page.

I will try to find some more sources to back up my draft, then I'll submit the revised draft for review.

Administrators' noticeboard: personal attacks

Hi, I apologize if this is not allowed - I'm relatively new here and I've never been involved in an ANI before -- but I posted an ANI 48 hours ago under "personal attacks" but no one's weighed in. Since then, I've tried to open an RfC to address the issue but the same user has kept bludgeoning it, mostly uncivilly. I'd really appreciate it if anyone could respond. Re:February 2021

Hi. I apologize for having canceled the cancellation proposal notice and that I decided unilaterally, I will not do it again. But what do you think about moving these pages to draftspace, as I did without authorization? How can we propose it? Dr Salvus (talk) 17:17, 20 February 2021 (UTC)

Hi. You prevented the page 2019—20 Coppa Italia Dilettanti Apulia from turning into a shooting area. I also mistakenly created the Draft: 2019-20 Coppa Italia Dilettanti Apulia page. I ask you to delete the page that is currently in the draft space and to move the page that is now in the main space into the draft space. I also contacted you to clarify the story that if you kept partying I would be blocked and for that I apologize. Dr Salvus (talk) 20:30, 20 February 2021 (UTC)

How about deleting the Draft:2019-20 Coppa Italia Dilettanti Apulia page and moving the page 2019-20 Coppa Italia Dilettanti Apulia into the draftspace? Dr Salvus (talk) 20:34, 20 February 2021 (UTC)

Speedy deletion of Arielle Kayabaga page

I don't understand why the page was speedily deleted. There isn't even an opportunity to discuss the issue(s). I researched the person, provided factual information with references. There are other politicians who are published and I used one of their templates to follow. This very frustrating. I can't even contest it because the article has been deleted so I can't click on "contest the deletion" I spent a lot of hours on that article and it is just removed based on one person's opinion. I've tried to read and understand all the rules but it sure isn't easy.

You also state that you are not the administrator who deleted it buy when I click on the link "deleting administrator" the search shows nothing so how do I find out who it is to in order to get the data back?

Thanks KenDavison3 (talk) 01:28, 21 February 2021 (UTC)

Sorry re NCORP

Hi Praxidicae, didn't mean to hound you at NCORP. There is one thought that I wanted to make which I think is being lost in the discussion. I find NPROF AfDs much more straightforward given the various detailed criteria that a BLP meets (or doesn't). In fact, difficult ones are where everybody realizes NPROF is not met, and they look for BASIC/GNG. I think NCORP is too blunt an instrument. Per my examples at the discussion, because large multi-billion corporates fail NCORP, people have learned to ignore it at AfD and move quickly to GNG. I think that if we had metrics that could clarify large corporates (i.e +3bn revenues, or +3bn market capitalization, which are notable), then it would be easier to get the existing NCORP applied to the ones who fail the metrics (as they are obviously smaller). An NPROF-like NCORP could be a tighter and harder to evade SNG (like NPROF), than I think it currently is. Britishfinance (talk) 23:33, 22 February 2021 (UTC)

Ateaa Tina page nominated for deletion

Please the Ateaa Tina page does in no way promote the singer Ateaa Tina, as I am not affiliated or associated to her. All it talks about is the works and biography of the artist, who has been in the music industry for about 20 years. She also meets the musicians criteria as she has albums that has chart in the country. It will be very unfair for the article to be deleted.
