Help me![edit]

Hi, i finished an article for the first time. It was saved on my own sandbox. I'm unable to know how to publish it. It's from the following categories: Chess variants, Fairy chess pieces.

Please help me with...

Chess and Chess Variants Fun 20:26, 1 December 2019 (UTC)

Your draft is "published" in that it is saved to Wikipedia's servers, but it is not "published" as in being a part of the main encyclopedia. To submit it for review, click the blue "Submit your draft for review" button in the box at the top of the draft. Before you do that, you will need to fix some of the formatting issues the draft has(there should be no external links in the body of the article other than the citations, for one). I'd suggest looking at some other similar articles to see how they are structured and formatted. 331dot (talk) 10:56, 2 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
There are some additional issues with the draft (now at Draft:Chess variants using different pawns).
  1. Most of the references don't appear to be reliable sources; the only one that possibly meets that standard is the Classified Encyclopedia of Chess Variants (the non-Classified variant is apparently an older edition of the same work, and the author's first name for both is David, not Daniel).
  2. Significant amounts of content are not backed up by any of the given references, reliable or not. That's original research, and Wikipedia is not the place for it.
  3. The tone is inappropriate for an encyclopedia, and the draft presents personal opinions as fact (e.g. "Berolina Chess is fun", "becomes a beast" and so on).
If RHaworth hadn't (again) turned the page into a draft, I'd have nominated it for deletion - it's in no way ready to be a live encyclopedia article. Huon (talk) 14:42, 2 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on NextGen Pawns requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, images, a rephrasing of the title, a question that should have been asked at the help or reference desks, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. /Musketeer chess moved to draftspace[edit]

An article you recently created, /Musketeer chess, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. September 2020[edit]

It appears that you have been canvassing—leaving messages on a biased choice of users' talk pages to notify them of an ongoing community decision, debate, or vote—in order to influence Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Musketeer chess. While friendly notices are allowed, they should be limited and nonpartisan in distribution and should reflect a neutral point of view. Please do not post notices which are indiscriminately cross-posted, which espouse a certain point of view or side of a debate, or which are selectively sent only to those who are believed to hold the same opinion as you. Remember to respect Wikipedia's principle of consensus-building by allowing decisions to reflect the prevailing opinion among the community at large. Thank you. –LaundryPizza03 (d) 19:52, 1 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Problem with your custom signature[edit]

You have a custom signature set in your account preferences. A change to Wikipedia's software has made your current custom signature incompatible with the software.

The problem: Your preferences are set to interpret your custom signature as wikitext. However, your current custom signature does not contain any wikitext.

The solutions: You can reset your signature to the default, or you can fix your signature.

Solution 1: Reset your signature to the default:
  1. Find the signature section in the first tab of Special:Preferences.
  2. Uncheck the box (☑︎→☐) that says "Treat the above as wiki markup."
  3. Remove anything in the Signature: text box. (It might already be empty.)
  4. Click the blue "Save" button at the bottom of the page. (The red "Restore all default settings" button will reset all of your preference settings, not just the signature.)
Solution 2: Fix your custom signature:
  1. Find the signature section in the first tab of Special:Preferences.
  2. Uncheck the box (☑︎→☐) that says "Treat the above as wiki markup."
  3. Click the blue "Save" button at the bottom of the page.

More information about custom signatures is available at Wikipedia:Signatures#Customizing how everyone sees your signature. If you have followed these instructions and still want help, please leave a message at Wikipedia talk:Signatures. 19:04, 3 September 2020 (UTC)

Hello, Raphael.elie.kakou. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Chess variants using different pawns".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia! —Nnadigoodluck 00:11, 19 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
