Welcome to Wikipedia, RaymondYee! My name is Ryan, aka Acetic Acid. I noticed that you were new and haven't received any messages yet. I just wanted to see how you were doing. Wikipedia can be a little intimidating at first, since it uses different formatting than other sites that use HTML and CSS. In the long run, though, you'll find that the WikiSyntax is a lot easier and faster than those other ways. Here are a few links to get you started:

There are a lot of policies and guides to read, but I highly recommend reading over those first. If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page. Please be sure to sign your name on Talk Pages using four tildes (~~~~) to produce your name and the current date, along with a link to your user page. Saturday, April 5 - WikiWomen's Edit-a-thon at the University of California, Berkeley - You are invited!

The University of California, Berkeley's Berkeley Center for New Media is hosting our first edit-a-thon, facilitated by WikiWoman Sarah Stierch, on April 5! This event, focused on engaging women to contribute to Wikipedia, will feature a brief Wikipedia policy and tips overview, followed by a fast-paced energetic edit-a-thon. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Please bring your laptop and be prepared to edit about women and women's history!

The event is April 5, from 1-5 PM, at the Berkeley Center for New Media Commons at Moffitt Library.

Thank you for leaving a message regarding my rejection of your draft. I looked over WP:NPROF, and I now see my mistake; I had thought that a secondary source was needed, but this clarification, For documenting that a person has been elected member or fellow (but not for a judgement of whether or not that membership/fellowship is prestigious), publications of the electing institution are considered a reliable source, does indeed clean it up. If you want to resubmit and ping me after you have done so, I will accept your revision.
At the same time, I will suggest that you create an infobox, add a date or year of birth if you can find one, put the inline citations after punctuation like periods and commas, and clarify what a distinguished professor in the second sentence. Are you saying that Elliott is "distinguished", or is that part of the title they hold? If the former, you should remove that as it would not be NPOV language. Hi Paul -- thank you for taking a look at the draft and reconsidering your decision so promptly -- I really appreciate it. I have clarified that Elliott's title is actually University of Alberta Distinguished Professor, fixed the placement of the citations wrt to punctuation, and started an infobox.
