FYI...I am not the editor that removed the non-notables, although I would have. In any article that has a list of notable people, the requirement is that there be enough referencing to show that the person listed is notable enough for a Wikipedia article on them to be written. There were no references at all on the ones the other editor removed. The applicable rule is WP:NLIST. Pretty much, college athletes are not considered notable enough for an article, although some exceptions do exist. A specific rule exists that covers Kyle Busch's wife. It is WP:NOTINHERIT, which basically says that because a subject's husband, father, employer, etc is notable does not mean that the subject is. Also, you may want to read WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS, an essay explaining some rules and editing procedures here on Wikipedia. Wikipedia changed course a few years back, from simply being a fun reference where anyone could list their boyfriend's garage band, to something more serious that can actually be used to do real research. There are roughly 4 and one quarter million articles on English Wikipedia, and somewhere down the road, they will all be cleaned up. With that many articles, obviously it isn't all gonna happen tonite. Ironically, Carmel was on my list to get to soon, but thanks for the head's up.
Please don't take the revisions personally. If you read the guidelines mentioned on the article's talk page and want help with any technical aspects of adding referencing to an edit you may want to make, I will always be happy to help. It makes a better encyclopedia when similar articles contain similar info, grouped in a similar manor. That is why article guidelines exist. Gtwfan52 (talk) 04:57, 27 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

It's been removed for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. claims of achievement need an independent source, not the school's webpage. also, per school article guidelines we do not discuss achievement less than state team championships, so even if you reference it properly, it does not belong in the article.
