Welcome to Wikipedia![edit]

Hello Ritafelgate, welcome to Wikipedia!

I noticed nobody had said hi yet... Hi!

If you feel a change is needed, feel free to make it yourself! Wikipedia is a wiki, so anyone (yourself included) can edit any article by following the Edit this page link. Wikipedia convention is to be bold and not be afraid of making mistakes. If you're not sure how editing works, have a look at How to edit a page, or try out the Sandbox to test your editing skills.

If, for some reason, you are unable to fix a problem yourself, feel free to ask someone else to do it. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the Wikipedia Boot Camp, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on your user page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Wikipedia has a vibrant community of contributors who have a wide range of skills and specialties, and many of them would be glad to help. As well as the wiki community pages there are IRC Channels, where you are more than welcome to ask for assistance.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask me on my talk page. Thanks and happy editing, --Alf melmac 12:07, 10 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

A second welcome![edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia! I noticed your question over at the Help Desk. If you have any further questions, don't hesitate to ask. We're all here to help. Cheers. --LV (Dark Mark) 14:09, 10 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks.. I've got lists of legislation to get up and learning to do tables :) so will bury my head in that for a bit because they don't look so good at the moment. Tell me, is the rule at Wikipedia "get the info up first", or "get the pretty sorted first"?
Well, you can do either. Sometimes, when someone doesn't know the correct wiki syntax, they will just post the info and someone else will come along and fix it up. But it doesn't really matter either way. And remember, you can sign your talk page posts by typing 4 tildes (~~~~) which will put your name and date. Also, to make things indented, you can use colons. The more colons, the more indented. Hope this helps some. --LV (Dark Mark) 14:24, 10 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

An editor has nominated South african legislation 2006, an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not"). Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/South african legislation 2006 and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. Systems theory[edit]

The article needs work, but you've got to be neutral and your edits weren't, they gave your opinions on the matter (you even edited a direct quote!). Comments within the article about the article are definitely not OK. Don't edit according to your opinions, work from sources, and please rein in any temptation to start soapboxing.
