RAMESH DAHAL WIKI DRAFT[edit]

Hello you left one message on Draft:Ramesh Dahal 's article. This article needs additional reference or given reference are not reliable.thanks Endrabcwizart (talk) 05:54, 14 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Endrabcwizart, this is true. I declined the submission of the article in question. This was because at the time I felt that the article did not have sufficient reliable references to show notability. Right now my concern is that the article is quite short and might be deleted if it becomes a normal article. I would recommend expanding the article to be more than just one paragraph, as well as improving the grammar and sources. I feel that if these things are done, then I would accept this article. I would be happy help as requested. Rollidan (talk) 07:59, 14 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
thanks for your suggestion. I will make correction Endrabcwizart (talk) 08:06, 14 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Now I made some correction. Can You visit again Please. Endrabcwizart (talk) 09:05, 14 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Draft: Tatjana Ječmenica (table tennis)[edit]

Hi Rollidan, I appreciate your comments on proposed article. Should say proposed article is about a young woman table tennis player, one of the most talented Europian junior table tennis player at that time, time between 1960 and 1970. As you recommended I added additional sources though I must say there are very, very limited available sources, that are easily verified. As you may understand, from that time in last century, when there were no electronic media and from a country, Former Yugoslavia, that no longer exist, there is not much information saved. Just to say, there are other, not mentioned prestigious results as I couldn’t find verifiable sources. I would like to keep it up to Wikipedia high standard. I believe I did my best. I believe that once the article is on there may be more people to support it. Thank you for your consideration Faithfully, Симпатизер (talk) 01:55, 18 April 2022 (UTC)СимпатизерСимпатизер (talk) 01:55, 18 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you @Симпатизер for bringing this up. As I said in my message when I declined the article, the issue is whether sources exist to show notability of a particular topic. If those sources do not exist, then the topic is not notable. With that in mind, the sources do not need to be online to be reliable sources.
In regards to this article, I don't think that this particular individual is notable under the current guidelines. To me it looks like someone who did pretty well in their country at that time, but did not compete beyond age 18. As such, it doesn't necessarily pass WP:SPORTCRIT, which is the criteria for Table Tennis players. Thanks, Rollidan (talk) 17:29, 18 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Hi @Rollidan,
Thank you for your prompt response.
I believe this young lady made notable achievements.
Compete coverage, story about this young sportswoman can be found in publications provided as references:
1- Sports Coryphaeus of Novi Sad, by Vujin, Vladimir and
2- Encyclopedia of City of Novi Sad by Dusan Popov and partly in
3- From Sarajevo to Novi Sad by Zdenko Uzorinec
I can provide you photocopies of mentioned publications. These publications are written in Serbian and Croatian languages. I can look for translation if required.
Tatjana made international achievements as well not just national and achievements in senior category though she was a junior by age.
In addition to already mentioned achievements:
1966 International Championship of Bulgaria- 1st place in doubles
1966 and 1967 European Champions Cup, Quoter final
And more in junior category.
To my understanding Wikipedia is not just about world champions, there are other sportsmen and sportswomen who deserve attention, whose stories could present motivation for new generations.
Thank you for understanding
Faithfully
