Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for adding detail to Bernard Smith (footballer). You may not know that all information in Wikipedia articles should be verifiable from reliable published sources, which means that the info should have already been published somewhere else before and the article should contain references to where the info came from. This is so that the reader can check where the info comes from and be sure that Wikipedia isn't just making stuff up. Please could you add a note to Bernard Smith (footballer) of where your additions came from, i.e. the book/page number(s) or the webpage url or whatever it is. Doesn't matter about the formatting, so long as it's clear what you mean, someone will turn up eventually to format it properly :-) thanks, Struway2 (talk) 22:27, 27 December 2010 (UTC)
- Hello again. I've undone your changes to Mr Smith, pending the supply of a reliable published source. The story of his Birmingham career seems likely, if a bit exaggerated - Randle played several games, not just one, before Smith took over - but it does need referencing. Best if you redo your changes and cite your references, the referencing for beginners page might help with the formatting if you need it, but don't worry about getting it perfect. According to Matthews' Complete Record ISBN 978-1-85983-010-9, Cringan played left back in the first and Randle in the next four, Smith coming in against Derby which was their sixth of the season. cheers, Struway2 (talk) 12:03, 13 January 2011 (UTC)
