Why Did you delete my page? I was already told that I was allowed to do my minor edits on here. Please place my web page back. Please return my user page back to the way it was. I informed administrators about your vandalisms. — NuclearVacuum 14:01, 2 March 2008 (UTC)

I deleted it for the reasons laid out on your user talk page.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 20:57, 2 March 2008 (UTC)

Since your last warning for User:Hatto, he/she has since redirected the links again. ~Ambrosia- talk 19:51, 2 March 2008 (UTC)

As well, I would suggest you take a look at said user's log. ~Ambrosia- talk 19:52, 2 March 2008 (UTC)

Re: Your userpage

Thank you so much (I feel so much better). Just so you know, I restored my user page back to the way it was. I promise that I will edit it so my ideas are saved and removed. Though it may take a while, it will be 100% ready by next Sunday (3/9/2008). If is not ready by then, I give you my permission to delete my user page again. I hope we can put this thing behind us and not become enemies (cause I hate it when I get angry on the net). Thank you again. — NuclearVacuum 22:35, 2 March 2008 (UTC)

The issue was you shouldn't have that content there in the first place. Find a MediaWiki site where you can put all of that for a bit.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 22:50, 2 March 2008 (UTC)

Capitalization

Hi. I have been watching your edit war with User:Hatto regarding capitalization vs lower case for the Orange Pekoe (band) and Abingdon Boys School article titles. Have you read Wikipedia:Manual of Style (capital letters), particularly the Mixed or non-capitalization section? It seems to be quite explicit about the suggested rules on this matter. --DAJF (talk) 02:52, 3 March 2008 (UTC)

I have seen that, but it does not give any situations such as these. Those two items are single names, and not multiple word names.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 02:56, 3 March 2008 (UTC)
I provided a link to the relevant section, but in case you had trouble finding it, I will quote it here...
For proper names and trademarks that are given in mixed or non-capitalization by their owners (such as k.d. lang, adidas and others), follow standard English text formatting and capitalization rules. Standard English capitalization rules are that proper names (e.g. band names) should have the first letter of each word capitalized. --DAJF (talk) 03:07, 3 March 2008 (UTC)
Very well then.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 03:08, 3 March 2008 (UTC)

Apologies

Sorry: I got a bit carried away. I've {{db-u1}} a few of the pages; and I'll do some edits tomorrow when I have more time. microchip08 (find my secret page!) 22:40, 8 March 2008 (UTC)

Hi, if you have the time, can you reassess whether or not this IP is an open proxy? I've tried to nmap it, but the host seemed down. A quick check showed me that the IP is blocked for vandalism on fr.wp and es.wp, so my guts tell me that probably an open proxy but I have no hard evidence. -- lucasbfr talk 18:51, 9 March 2008 (UTC)

The IP has not edited in months until it realized it was blocked, again. I can't remember why I had been alerted to it, but with the search I performed just now as well as the normal vandalism that came from the IP in the first place, it's still very likely that it's an open proxy.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 10:06, 10 March 2008 (UTC)

Fast responses

I wondering. Why is it that you respond very fast on talk pages and edits you disagree with?. Is this because you put most page you are intrested in on your watchlist?. Mythdon (talk) 21:06, 10 March 2008 (UTC)

I have several pages on my watchlist. When I find that there are discussions on the talk page, I respond to them.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 21:12, 10 March 2008 (UTC)
It was quite obvious that you had many pages on your watchlist. Why else would you respond very fast . Mythdon (talk) 21:26, 10 March 2008 (UTC)
Because I feel it is necessary.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 21:30, 10 March 2008 (UTC)

TRTX

Hello, Ryulong. TRTX has reported me at Wikipedia:Wikiquette alerts (see entry). Do you a see a reason why this user should report me or is he/she just nuts?. Mythdon (talk) 03:09, 14 March 2008 (UTC)

Respond to it as you see fit.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 04:13, 14 March 2008 (UTC)

Nihongo

What do the MOS guidelines say about spaces in {{nihongo}}? For example, I don't know if this here was correct. Thoughts? Please reply on your talk page, Lord Sesshomaru (talkedits) 19:56, 14 March 2008 (UTC)

I'm not aware of any such guidelines. I just know that there are different words in Japanese much like there are in English. The spaces simply exist to separate these words. "Ranmanibunnoichi" looks cluttered, and that article was the first one where I saw any such clustering.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 20:34, 14 March 2008 (UTC)
You may want to read this, since it's relevant. Lord Sesshomaru (talkedits) 23:53, 14 March 2008 (UTC)
There exists some spacing. It is simply how the words are spoken. There's no space in the language, but there are breaks when speaking or reading it.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 03:34, 15 March 2008 (UTC)
I concur with Ryulong. The spacing between words exists. While in actual Japanese, no spaces are needed, when romanizing Japanese, spacing is necessary in order for ease of reading. ···日本穣? · Talk to Nihonjoe 05:12, 18 March 2008 (UTC)
Then is the current nihongo for Jigoku Shojo and Dragon Ball incorrect? Lord Sesshomaru (talkedits) 22:54, 19 March 2008 (UTC)
Not anymore :D—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 01:57, 20 March 2008 (UTC)
That's great but, in case you were unaware, all of the other Dragon Ball-related pages are utilising Doragonbōru. Can you get to those too? Lord Sesshomaru (talkedits) 02:33, 20 March 2008 (UTC)
Eventually.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 02:34, 20 March 2008 (UTC)
Which is it? Regardless, we need to be consistent. The article gives two different romanji. Lord Sesshomaru (talkedits) 05:59, 22 March 2008 (UTC)
There are various ways.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 06:11, 22 March 2008 (UTC)

In need of help

Long time to no see! But listen, i'm having an issue with another user and I'd like an admin to help mediate the issue. It started when I closed this afd as speedy keep, which I'm no stranger to doing. The nominator then decides to reopen the closed afd. And then on top of that, nominates mine and Eagle's category for deletion. I happen to think its really bad form to do all of this, what do you think? SynergeticMaggot (talk) 04:02, 18 March 2008 (UTC)

Please note that this is ongoing, and its on only my talk page and his, as of right now. SynergeticMaggot (talk) 04:05, 18 March 2008 (UTC)
Nevermind. I'm letting this all go. I know the article will be kept. SynergeticMaggot (talk) 04:33, 18 March 2008 (UTC)

User: 118.137.0.0/16

This guy seems to have the same MO as the 61.5.*.*/61.94.*.* anon user a few months ago, but is now blocked by Nihonjoe (talk · contribs) for a month. This particular user vandalized some of not most the same articles that the 61.5.*.*/61.94.*.* anon user vandalized. Do you think he is the same one? (For examples, take a look his edits at ABS-CBN Broadcasting Corporation (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) and Sanrio (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views).) - 上村七美 (Nanami-chan) | talkback | contribs 06:45, 18 March 2008 (UTC)

I am not familiar with this case.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 07:03, 18 March 2008 (UTC)
Well, you can talk with Nihonjoe about it. In my note to him, I've included links to my original report to the Admins' noticeboard, now archived. Alternatively, you can check the history of both of the articles I've mentioned. - 上村七美 (Nanami-chan) | talkback | contribs 13:17, 18 March 2008 (UTC)

Deletion of User:Nothing444

Hi, just curious about your rationale for deleting this page. Does a temporary deletion mean that the page gets restored at some point in the future? I can't look at deleted page history, but I don't remember anything unacceptable on it (not to say that there could be unacceptable versions, I just don't know). Thanks, Darkspots (talk) 16:17, 18 March 2008 (UTC)

The user was indefinitely blocked. It was a page that we did not need to retain.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 21:50, 18 March 2008 (UTC)
Understood--just didn't know why it was listed as a "temporary" deletion. Is there a WP page I can go to to find out more about this? Thanks, Darkspots (talk) 22:18, 18 March 2008 (UTC)
CAT:TEMPRyūlóng (竜龙) 04:41, 19 March 2008 (UTC)
Yeah, that doesn't make any sense to me--the explanation text there indicates to me that you should have waited a suitable period of time after the blocking to delete this page, like a month. I figured you had another reason to almost immediately delete the guy's userpage, something like five hours after the indef block. For instance, the user had added personal, identifying information about another user. Otherwise, it seems to me that you really jumped the gun here. Darkspots (talk) 10:28, 19 March 2008 (UTC)
Not at all. If the user is indefinitely blocked, they don't really need a user page, do they?—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 21:24, 19 March 2008 (UTC)
He's really working hard to get a second chance, and Nick is working with him. I think that the one-month guideline makes sense exactly because of this kind of situation. Not all indef blocks are hopeless vandals. Darkspots (talk) 19:24, 20 March 2008 (UTC)

Oh. Hmm. There's got to be a better name for the genre, though.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 02:07, 23 March 2008 (UTC)
Well, the melody had mid-eastern royality feel. Fractyl (talk) 02:15, 23 March 2008 (UTC)
That's true, but there's got to be a better name for the genre or style.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 02:21, 23 March 2008 (UTC)

My User Page

Why did you delete my User Page? Aren't you at least supposed to give me a warning? Speedy Deletion even has a warning!--Obaidz96 (talk) 04:21, 24 March 2008 (UTC)

I had deleted it because you placed too much self-identifying information on it, which included your general address and your age. I had forgot to restore the last revision, in which I removed all of the information that you should not have put there.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 04:28, 24 March 2008 (UTC)

Somehow, you missed the The Go-ongers page that someone set up and I was transfering some info into. Fractyl (talk) 20:38, 24 March 2008 (UTC)

Oldwikisource

SUL implemented!! Wow!

When trying to log in as Ryulong, have you tried the e-mail my paaaword function? Unless you have changed your address that should solve the problem. The Ryulong account was set up on June 21, 2007. The "usurper" had no edits. Eclecticology (talk) 09:25, 25 March 2008 (UTC)

I used that feature, and it did not go to either of my e-mail accounts. And SUL is only implimented for sysops at the moment.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 21:16, 25 March 2008 (UTC)

Question

Hey there, not sure why you deleted this page, the userpage did exsist but was re-directed to the IP's talk page by the IP because they where un happy that a sockpuppet tag was placed on it. Am I missing something (it tends to happen a lot, me missing something that is :D) Tiptoety talk 21:55, 27 March 2008 (UTC)

IP users don't get user pages, normally.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 21:56, 27 March 2008 (UTC)
So the sock tag should be placed on their usertalk page instead? (I learn something new every day!) Tiptoety talk 21:57, 27 March 2008 (UTC)
The user doesn't want a tag.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 22:00, 27 March 2008 (UTC)
Well, it looks like they got one anyway...and it also looks like their userpage has been re-created. Tiptoety talk 22:03, 27 March 2008 (UTC)

Megalithic geometry

I don't really get your point ('Megalithic peoples are pseudoarchaeological content'). Although scholars consider that the Megalithic stuff includes possibly different cultures at different times and places, they all agree there is certain degree of unity in Britain (for example in Britain they made henges from southern Britain to northern Scotland, which is evidence for all scholars that there is a certain unity).--Little sawyer (talk) 10:00, 30 March 2008 (UTC)

There's no "Megalithic people." It's "Paleolithic" or "Mesolithic" or "Neolithic."—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 18:58, 30 March 2008 (UTC)
