Still a glitch

There's still a glitch. When you created my talk page by leaving me a message, I became able to edit it ok, but I still can't create the User Talk:Hidden Glass page without the error message. I've cleared cache and restarted the browser (several times now). Hidden Glass 2 (talk) 06:54, 1 May 2008 (UTC)

It should be fixed, now.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 06:56, 1 May 2008 (UTC)
It is still there.--Lenticel (talk) 06:59, 1 May 2008 (UTC)
Still doesn't work for me, either, trying to edit the User Talk:Hidden Glass page. Hidden Glass 2 (talk) 07:00, 1 May 2008 (UTC)
Try one more cache clear. I am seeing plenty of other users not having this problem, and even getting people to test it.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 07:01, 1 May 2008 (UTC)
Nope. Hidden Glass 2 (talk) 07:03, 1 May 2008 (UTC)
There are users who are creating pages with a space in the title with no problem. I've even asked other people to make test pages. There should be no issue.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 07:04, 1 May 2008 (UTC)
I tried Ctrl F5, Ctrl R and restarting firefox with clear private data, nothing worked.--Lenticel (talk) 07:06, 1 May 2008 (UTC)
I used a different computer on a different ISP with a different user account. Doesn't work. Hidden Glass 2 (talk) 07:07, 1 May 2008 (UTC)
There are still new pages being created with spaces in the titles. I do not understand what is the error anymore.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 07:08, 1 May 2008 (UTC)
Hmmm perhaps someone should contact the developers. I think this problem beyond our skills.--Lenticel (talk) 07:13, 1 May 2008 (UTC)
There is no more issue. Other individuals who have had the problem are not getting the error any more. This guy made the page he was looking for.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 07:14, 1 May 2008 (UTC)
Sorry to disappoint, but it's still down. Is there a way to clear the Wikipedia/Wikimedia cache? I'm assuming you've done a plain revert of all the edits you've done to the blacklist page? Hidden Glass 2 (talk) 07:18, 1 May 2008 (UTC)
I removed the offending item. There are users who are not having the issue anymore, most of which are new users or non-admins. Maybe try logging out and then back in again?—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 07:19, 1 May 2008 (UTC)

<-- I logged out, cleared cache, shut down browser, re-opened browser, logged back in, same issue. Then used PC Anywhere to log into my home computer, did the same. Same problem. Hidden Glass 2 (talk) 07:23, 1 May 2008 (UTC)

I don't understand why this is affecting some people and not others.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 07:24, 1 May 2008 (UTC)
This time I logged out, cleared cache, restarted browser, created a new account and tried to edit my own talk page, same error, although it also had the text ".*[\x{2100}-\x{214F}].*" at the bottom of the error message. Hidden Glass 3 (talk) 07:26, 1 May 2008 (UTC)
Now it's fixed.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 07:26, 1 May 2008 (UTC)
Yes, it's fixed now. Hidden Glass 3 (talk) 07:28, 1 May 2008 (UTC)
Good. :3—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 07:28, 1 May 2008 (UTC)
Mine as well.--Lenticel (talk) 07:30, 1 May 2008 (UTC)

bazra

Thanks a lot for fixing it! Tubeyes (talk) 08:16, 1 May 2008 (UTC)

Spacings in kanji

The changes you did to Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball GT are a little different, especially in comparison to this. Why is this so? Please reply on your talk page, Lord Sesshomaru (talkedits) 16:19, 1 May 2008 (UTC)

I couldn't remember how I changed it before. Still, there's no reason to have put "doragonboruzetto"—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 22:07, 1 May 2008 (UTC)
How should it be now? If you're unsure, perhaps User:Erachima can help. Thoughts? Lord Sesshomaru (talkedits) 05:47, 2 May 2008 (UTC)
There are breaks in Japanese speech. I just know that "Doragonboruzetto" and "Doragonborujiti" are not the proper ways of writing that to signify the pronunciation.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 05:53, 2 May 2008 (UTC)
Believe me I got that the first time around ;) Guess I'll ask Erachima later. Lord Sesshomaru (talkedits) 05:55, 2 May 2008 (UTC)
Does it really matter if it's doragonboru or doragon boru and just not doragonboruletsputthetranslationhere? :P—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 05:56, 2 May 2008 (UTC)
No clue. Lord Sesshomaru (talkedits) 06:07, 2 May 2008 (UTC)
Btw, I've seen the solution. If they put a space between "Dragon" and "Ball" in the Latin alphabet, they imply that there's one when speaking it in Japanese.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 06:11, 2 May 2008 (UTC)

Your IP block of 1 year

Hi Ryulong, I was just wondering in relation to this IP being blocked for one year, was there any deleted contributions that we cant see in the contributions here? I was just curious thats all, i know 4 days after the 6 month block a user made some nonsense edits, got a warning and then a naive comment was made in the wrong place, it was then 1 and a half hours later that you blocked it. Was there any more contributions in that period? Was just interested thats all, you know whats best i guess. Thanks Roadrunnerz45 (talk 2 me) 05:37, 2 May 2008 (UTC)

Someone's stalking Persian Poet Gal. That IP's edits were strange, and has been blocked multiple times in the past.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 05:42, 2 May 2008 (UTC)

G'day ryulong

I wonder if you might consider undeleting Wikipedia:Biographical optout/Noticeboard - it's a new idea as part of a proposal's evolution - and I'm not really sure why you deleted it, to be honest....! I'd like to chat about the possibilities of such a noticeboard with a few other folk, and gather some thoughts etc. - thanks in advance for magicing it back into existence! - cheers, Privatemusings (talk) 06:16, 2 May 2008 (UTC)

Generally, you get the idea accepted by the community before you go about and make subpages.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 06:23, 2 May 2008 (UTC)
sure - but it seems silly that this idea - which is an evolution of the previous proposal - would have to sit in a different space in order to be discussed and demonstrated.... I'd appreciate its undeletion! - thanks, Privatemusings (talk) 06:24, 2 May 2008 (UTC)
But it's still the initial proposal. If optout wasn't accepted, why would a noticeboard for it be?—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 06:35, 2 May 2008 (UTC)
well I think the headings in the noticeboard are kinda self explanatory - and as I mentioned on the talk page of the proposal - something like this noticeboard might help communications between editors who wish to be aware of specific issues, and will act within policy to try and resolve situations as they best see fit... P'raps I should add an explanatory paragraph to the noticeboard page (and a ref to the currently rejected proposal) - but either ways, I think you're kinda acting a bit outside of your remit to try and justify a unilateral deletion... please pop it back, and I'll get to work! - cheers, Privatemusings (talk) 06:39, 2 May 2008 (UTC)
It was a noticeboard for a rejected proposal. Surely you can describe what you want the page to be, instead of making the page itself.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 07:03, 2 May 2008 (UTC)
maybe - but I'd really prefer to edit it - I kinda think that's more the 'wiki way' if you know what I mean... ah go on! - cheers, Privatemusings (talk) 07:12, 2 May 2008 (UTC)
actually - do also feel free just to bung a note on an admins noticeboard or something if you'd like to get some more eyes and ears on this one - there isn't really a rush on or anything, but I hope the page can be restored before too long! - cheers, Privatemusings (talk) 07:16, 2 May 2008 (UTC)
just fyi - keegan has popped up at my talkpage with what I think is a good suggestion (as well as the observation that we've been kinda talking past each other here! - oops!) What do you think about the idea of copying the page into my userspace so I can show what I'm on about without any danger of anything appearing to be policy etc.? - if you could drop a copy in somewhere, that would be cool! thanks, Privatemusings (talk) 07:36, 2 May 2008 (UTC)
That I'll do.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 18:49, 2 May 2008 (UTC)

Ayn Rand

You recently semi-protected this article. However, it seems to be only one IP edit warring since my full protection expired. Per the protection policy, wouldn't it be better to block the IP, and leave the page unprotected? (Barring future edit warring by other parties, of course) Do you have any objection to my doing this? seresin ( ¡? ) 21:47, 2 May 2008 (UTC)

Upon reflection, it seems that while it almost certainly the same editor, the same IP is not being used, and therefore blocking would do no good. However, would you be opposed to lifting the protection sooner? seresin ( ¡? ) 21:49, 2 May 2008 (UTC)
That may be a sufficient course of action.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 21:55, 2 May 2008 (UTC)

No objection is consensus

Says it all , moving the page. suggest you and admin follow policy . instead try to bully me Gnevin (talk) 22:26, 3 May 2008 (UTC)

No one agreed with you either. You've had three separate administrators undo your changes. Leave the article as it is, or you may face a block.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 22:27, 3 May 2008 (UTC)
I have put a warning in User talk:Gnevin. Anthony Appleyard (talk) 22:30, 3 May 2008 (UTC)
Don't change the formatting... but thank you.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 22:32, 3 May 2008 (UTC)

Copyright

Sorry, you're wrong. If you take all of the knowledge of a single source and expand it a bit with another source you have exceeded fair use. It's simply a clever rewrite of a page, taking every single line of text from another page, and modifying it just enough so it looks different, and from a page that has no reliability factor, and it does not deserve to be on the main page. It's crap. The sources for the article are used in their entirety, simply rearranged to look as if the writer isn't cheating, then the sources themselves are not the citations that qualify as reliable or verifiable, and you support this, why? Don't revert my talk page, when I've edited it, just because you disagree with me on this issue. There was nothing that needed saved, and it's all available in my edit history. --Blechnic (talk) 07:19, 4 May 2008 (UTC)

It's something one does in writing; citing other sources when you get information from them. There is nothing straight copied from the sources. Sure, the content of the article is solely based on the sources mentioned, but that is not copyright infringement. There is no "fair use" on text (at least on Wikipedia). Unless there's something you're not clearly stating, I don't see any issues with the article as it was.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 07:22, 4 May 2008 (UTC)
Other than it's probably simply a clever ruse to spam Wikipedia readers into clicking on the two "references" both of which, surprise surprise! belong to websites that sell the device to BDSM practitioners. Maybe they'll give you a kickback for helping boost sales. You are wrong about fair use being different on Wikipedia than elsewhere. Wikipedia doesn't write its own copyright laws, and I can't imagine where anyone got that idea. --Blechnic (talk) 07:27, 4 May 2008 (UTC)
When you're done being paranoid, edit this page again.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 07:29, 4 May 2008 (UTC)
I'm not paranoid. It seems you are quite determined to allow this article and its advertisers front page news on Wikipedia. Please explain under what verifiable and reliable guidelines these two "references" fall, because they don't fall under any, and you're simply determined to let these stores advertise on Wikipedia, and copy their articles wholesale onto Wikipedia. Why? What are you gaining? --Blechnic (talk) 07:34, 4 May 2008 (UTC)
Right now, I just think that you are wrong in your assumptions. There is no advertising just because the websites mentioned have stores.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 07:35, 4 May 2008 (UTC)

Why did you revert the detail that I added to this article ? You listed no motif. --Mr.Fantastique (talk) 20:40, 5 May 2008 (UTC)

It was not referenced.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 20:43, 5 May 2008 (UTC)
It was - the Constitution of 1958 was listed as a reference. Do you agree that I change it back ? Maybe the sentence was a little convoluted, but I think it's still an improvement over the current imprecise version. --Mr.Fantastique (talk) 20:49, 5 May 2008 (UTC)
If it's properly referenced.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 21:04, 5 May 2008 (UTC)
Yes, it's referenced to article 45 of the Constitution. I added a reference list at the bottom. --Mr.Fantastique (talk) 21:07, 5 May 2008 (UTC)
Then you can add it.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 21:09, 5 May 2008 (UTC)

Kamen Rider Blade

15:36, 2 May 2008 Ryulong (Talk | contribs) (15,492 bytes) (This in no way represents how these articles are supposed to be formatted)

Please, O noble leader, how are these articles to be formatted? WP:Toku doesn't have a guideline for ANYTHING, let alone format. From the actual Wikiproject page, I can glean only that we shouldn't use trivia sections, should not write bulleted lists, should use one template for Power Ranger characters, and use a certain template for Japanese names because the other one sucked. There are no format guidelines for this project at all, Dragon2, beyond what I just named. If someone I more-or-less invited to help from the TV Wikiproject, who does the article assessments and would probably know their guidelines better than you do, wants to edit the article to reflect WP:TV's guidelines for what's appropriate, who are you to decide those edits don't represent our non-existant guidelines? Or is it just that you can't stand seeing the articles touched by people not registered at WP:Toku? I'm not trying to be insulting, I am genuinely curious about why you behave the way you do. Howa0082 (talk) 13:36, 8 May 2008 (UTC)

The formatting of the most recent series (Den-O, Kiva, Gekiranger, Boukenger, Go-onger) is how I would like to reflect the formatting of all of the series articles. I know it doesn't resemble the formatting of anime series pages, but the Blade page, as it was, did not resemble any of the other pages on currently airing or recently aired toku series.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 19:48, 8 May 2008 (UTC)
So write down those guidelines on the project page. Or just ignore my points again, sure, and not do a single bloody thing to improve the project. It sure as hell wouldn't be the first time. I've suggested we have a rating scale for assessment and prioritizing TWICE, and the second time, you couldn't even be BOTHERED to tell me you didn't approve. I don't CARE if EVERY article has a list of episodes in the body of the article. When that list has been split off into it's own article, THERE IS NO REASON TO KEEP THE LIST IN THE BODY OF THE MAIN SERIES ARTICLE. It's cluttered, and redundant. There's other things that could use improvement in the article (among many other articles in the project), but if you keep reverting everything back to your broken format, no article will get to featured status. EVER. Like it or not, we're a derivative WikiProject. We fall under many other projects, and those articles from a certain media type, movies or tv, get rated according to THAT project's standards. If we had our own standards, maybe this would be a different matter. But we don't, because you don't want there to be publically-viewable standards. You just want to be able to swoop in on any article at any time and make things just the way you want, other editors be damned!
Do you remember my fixing the list of Den-O episodes? I removed endless headers, because it made the table of contents so big, it wouldn't fit on my screen all at once. And you reverted it, because you thought it would be easier for people to navigate a page with a table of contents SO BIG, you had to scroll to see all of it. In fact, Den-O is STILL like that, despite all other Kamen Rider series that I quickly perused just now NOT being that way. Your ownership of every article in this WikiProject is infuriating, counter-productive and, worst of all, it's not even consistant, as I have just shown you. Howa0082 (talk) 20:21, 8 May 2008 (UTC)
I will work on writing down those guidelines. I know that there is no prioritization (I never really had one in mind at all). And for a long period of time, the episode list had been deleted because all it had been was a fair use gallery. The WikiProject is in the making and I haven't had much time to put thought into it. I know a lot of the articles on the series aren't consistently formatted, but each one (as far as I know) has a section on episodes, containing a numbered list and possibly a link to a fuller episode list (which is getting to be tiresome as they grow into multiple paragraphs). There is no uniformity now but that doesn't mean that there won't be uniformity at all. My changes to the Blade article were made such that there would be some uniformity with it and the current pages (while I was fixing a blatantly wrong use of {{DEFAULTSORT}} on every single Kamen Rider page). The Hibiki page I recently tried to bring in line with the current series, and I'm fairly certain the Kabuto page is in line (but I haven't seen it recently). Being an ass to me now just because things at WP:TOKU aren't written in stone is really counterproductive, rather than my trying to keep things semi-consistent despite the lack of written guidelines.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 20:28, 8 May 2008 (UTC)
Oh, and one would think that by using the table of contents (despite how big it is), they can use it to peruse the page because of the section headings that you dislike so much.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 20:30, 8 May 2008 (UTC)
You're ignoring my other, perfectly valid points, in favor of being snotty again. Thanks, boss. You reverted me on that page because, as you said then, "the list of Kabuto episodes is from last year which is before I started really editting these articles." in reference to my pointing out that the list of Kabuto eps was supposedly our standard to aim for. Well, it's been nearly seven months since that, and it's still the only list in that format. If you're going to make stuff be the same as other stuff, be consistant about it. I keep saying we need some kind of standard for this project, and you just keep ignoring me. Howa0082 (talk) 20:46, 8 May 2008 (UTC)
Which list what format? The standard for the project is not written down, I know that. I'll talk with a couple of other members of the project to try and come up with some sort of concrete format, that if anything would resemble the 2007 and 2008 pages as they are now (List of Juken Sentai Gekiranger episodes, List of Engine Sentai Go-onger episodes, and List of Kamen Rider Kiva episodes all resemble the formatting of List of Kamen Rider Den-O episodes). When I get time, I'll reformat the Kabuto episode list such that it's inline with these, as will the Blade episode list. Wikipedia is a work in progress, as are these pages.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 20:57, 8 May 2008 (UTC)

Can I please suggest that you stop edit warring over at this article? User:Collectonian seems, to me, to be in the right (but I'm happy for you to try and convince me otherwise). You can't just ignore the TV show MoS rules in favour of creating your own, certainly not until your own rules have been agreed on by consensus. Don't forget, you don't own the article, and can't dictate a new style policy at odds with that decided on by consensus. Like I said, though, I'm happy to be convinced that I'm entirely wrong... TalkIslander 21:21, 8 May 2008 (UTC)

No one is in the right; the TV MoS is a guideline that these articles do not necessarily follow. I am not edit warring. I replaced the formatting that I had put in place last week, and then made one revert today after I had saw the complete undo of all of my changes (beneficial or superficial) to the article. There is no reason that there can't be separate MoS's, which is what I am going to work on and present to WP:TOKU later.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 21:26, 8 May 2008 (UTC)
Oh I agree, there's no reason at all that, if these articles fit in a different category, they can't have their own MoS. My point is that surely up to and until your new MoS is approved by consensus, the articles should follow that that is already in place, i.e. the TV MoS. TalkIslander 21:30, 8 May 2008 (UTC)
But what about the "S" that some of the more recent and more edited articles already have in place?—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 21:32, 8 May 2008 (UTC)
Well, in my opinion the best solution would be to leave everything exactly as it is, until consensus approves your MoS. Don't waste time converting things to the TV MoS, when they might just be changed a day or two later, but equally don't change things that are already in the TV MoS, on the principal that technically they're correct, until further notice. That'd be my suggestion, anyway. TalkIslander 21:36, 8 May 2008 (UTC)
Blade's page was the only one that had been reformatted into the TV MoS as far as I can tell.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 21:37, 8 May 2008 (UTC)

Undead

The Undead (Kamen Rider) article is being put to deletion, please help defend at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Undead (Kamen Rider). I've started on adding references and need you aid in reformating needed to keep the page alive, finding reliable sources that give Undead some significant coverage. That doesn't include fansites either, and not minor mentions. Fractyl (talk) 15:12, 8 May 2008 (UTC)

Tell, if this new format works?

Spider Undead (スパイダーアンデッド, Supaidā Andeddo, 11-14)
  • Statistics
    • Deck: Ace of Clubs
  • Episodes: 11-14, 42, Missing Ace
  • Sealed by: Garren's Burning Divide(series), J-Garren's Jack Burning Shot (Movie)

The Spider Undead was a accomplice of the Peacock Undead, selecting the ideal users to become Leagule before he intentionally had himself sealed into the Change Spider card to create Leangle. Though sealed, the Spider usually takes over the body of Mutsuki Kamijō, using him to become more powerful for the Battle Fight until he no longer needs a human host. Affected by Titan's venom in episode 42, Spider starts to completely take over Mutsuki to the point of turning into the Undead himself. The Spider was forced out from Leangle during episode 42 when attempting to assume king form, with Mutsuki free of the Undead's influence thanks to Hikaru Jō giving Noboru Shima a stronger influence. The Spider was properly resealed by Mutsuki with the King Rouser. Though unsealed in Missing Ace by the Albino Joker, the Spider Undead was resealed by J-Garren. "TV Asahi's official page on the Spider Undead".

The formatting looks good. Just reference the official site, and I'll look for relevant resources later (fansites are the only way, I would think, but I'm sure that there were some figures of the Peacock Undead made which could be of use).—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 19:44, 8 May 2008 (UTC)

Anthon01

I don't get it. How does asking using part of someone's name an attempt to out. Doesn't your post on my talk page contribute to that? It seems like Fyslee has done the same repeatedly, that is, ask a user if he is so and so, and he hasn't gotten block. I ask not to be argumentative but to get clear on the rules? I took my lead from Fyslee's past behavior. Anthon01 (talk) 12:10, 12 May 2008 (UTC)

Additionally, I had been asked several times by Guy if I am someone. [1][2] I used the term someone in italics for fear of being banned again for attempting to out myself, even though I am not the person Guy has attempted to out. However, a click of the links has the same effect. Why is it ok for Guy and Fylsee and not for me? Anthon01 (talk) 12:45, 12 May 2008 (UTC)

Oh and thanks for responding. :) Anthon01 (talk) 17:51, 12 May 2008 (UTC)

User: 198.85.213.1

This user, 198.85.213.1 (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · page moves · block user · block log), is engaged long-term edit warring with several editors in the following articles: Makie Sasaki and Evangeline A.K. McDowell. His edits were reverted because the reverting editors give valid rebuttals to this user's own reasons for the edits, yet it seems he never listens and never responds to whatever messages left in his talk page. What can you do about this user? - 上村七美 (Nanami-chan) | talkback | contribs 03:42, 16 May 2008 (UTC)

I do not know enough about the subject to assist here. Try to ask for semiprotection at WP:RFPP or bring up a report at WP:ANI.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 03:46, 16 May 2008 (UTC)
Much appreciated. I'll bring this up in WP:AN/I. Anyway, thanks for blocking Happyone2 (talk · contribs); that user's edits has annoyed many editors. - 上村七美 (Nanami-chan) | talkback | contribs 03:52, 16 May 2008 (UTC)
Well, if that user is how you chose me, he was making up an English cast list for a show that will never be dubbed. :P—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 03:57, 16 May 2008 (UTC)
Actually, I reported Happyone2 to WP:AN/I because his edits appear to be good faith edits that reporting to WP:AIV won't work. I posted two reports, with the second one posting diffs. In the case of the second one, there was no reply after I posted the diffs, making apparent to me that the problem with this user appears never to be resolved. I presume you read it and took action. - 上村七美 (Nanami-chan) | talkback | contribs 04:30, 16 May 2008 (UTC)

I've noted your actions at the ANI thread on Betacommand. Letting you know so you can comment if you want to. Carcharoth (talk) 08:22, 16 May 2008 (UTC)

Betacommand

Why is it in bad taste? He used an abusive sock; he's a puppetmaster confirmed by checkuser. The templates are accurate and I often add them to sock/puppetmaster pages cos that's what they're there for. There's no threshold for the number of abusive socks one must have before being noted as a puppetmaster and sock. Again, if it was anyone else, nobody would have said a thing, but since he's so "valuable to the project" some people want to overlook the fact that he's abusive and highly disruptive. There's no special set of rules for Betacommand. Nobody of Consequence (talk) 16:34, 16 May 2008 (UTC)

It should be 00AD, according to what I managed to find.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 02:26, 17 May 2008 (UTC)
Good, that's what you added :). Should check it first.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 02:27, 17 May 2008 (UTC)

This user added a different reference, and I have been looking for any signs that it may be reliable, but I don't find any. King iMatthew 2008 02:18, 18 May 2008 (UTC)

Suspected sockpuppet of Happyone2

It seems that blocked user Happyone2 (talk · contribs) has struck again. But this time, the user goes under the name Kittymitty999 (talk · contribs). I'd filed a sockpuppet report on him. Can you also check on this user? It seems Kittymitty999's MO is the same as Happyone2. - 上村七美 (Nanami-chan) | talkback | contribs 05:40, 20 May 2008 (UTC)

I won't have anything to match until the user adds the same information to an article I edit. Let's wait until then.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 06:03, 20 May 2008 (UTC)
Did you take a look at the report? (BTW, he/she put a "Japanese" actor on The Suite Life of Zack & Cody main characters‎.) - 上村七美 (Nanami-chan) | talkback | contribs 06:06, 20 May 2008 (UTC)

Re: Zippycup

Wow. Was there a checkuser case? Or did you have a similar unpleasant confrontation as I did? J.delanoygabsadds 13:27, 20 May 2008 (UTC)

Do take a look at this reinstatement of personal attacks by this user on his talk page, after my removal. Subsequently, there is some test edits with unblock templates also. AIV is hardly a choice and ANI is quite burdened. So, just letting you know here. Cheers. Prashanthns (talk) 15:04, 20 May 2008 (UTC)
I just wondered if all the sockpuppets were confirmed before or after my little encounter. J.delanoygabsadds 15:08, 20 May 2008 (UTC)
Apologies firstly for this clutter I am creating here. But, I am fairly certain that User:Notts33 and User:Qualaloopo are also socks of User:Zippycup. I received a note here from the latter about lincolnshire independence, which was what the former was doing for which he was blocked. And here, zippycup had awarded somebody else's barnstar for this blocked user, which he later defended on his talk page, saying that this user is a nice guy. I wanted to report this at the RFCU of zippy, but cant find it. Cheers. Prashanthns (talk) 15:45, 20 May 2008 (UTC)
Please contact User:FT2 concerning this. He performed the checkuser and determined that these accounts were related, and requested that someone else perform the blocks.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 22:18, 20 May 2008 (UTC)
Thanks. Prashanthns (talk) 22:20, 20 May 2008 (UTC)

Unquestionably a rather clear sock issue. I'm still working on this. As said, checkuser makes it rather clear. So do other factors. FT2 (Talk | email) 22:33, 20 May 2008 (UTC)

I'm aware, I've had to post a "please wait 24". There is reason to believe there's a concern; on the other hand it's open to review and best re-reviewed once the main case is dealt with and a lot will depend upon any further knowledge gained since the initial blocks. Sadly this has been a heavily vandalistic ring to deal with (several overlapping sock cases involved). FT2 (Talk | email) 22:33, 20 May 2008 (UTC)

G'day (again) Ryulong!

I hope you're good - I'm coming by here to ask a small bit of advice - your name was the first that popped up on my watchlist as an active admin, and I recall that we were able to talk about stuff quite smoothly a couple of weeks ago, so I thought you might have 5 min.s to help.

I've been pressing 'random article' and making some changes today (it's kinda fun!) - and in taking a look at my watchlist I realise I've made this edit which is actually to a 'biography of a living person' - something I'm currently prohibited from editing under an arbcom restriction. I don't think the para. should be there (obviously!) - and find myself in a bit of a dilemma about what exactly to do. I should add that this was a mistake - I shouldn't have edited that article, and I do not generally plan on editing BLPs until such time as my restriction is lifted.

I'm heading out for a few hours now, but any advice you can offer / action you think's best to take would be appreciated. Cheers, Privatemusings (talk) 04:57, 21 May 2008 (UTC)

I really don't like getting entrenched in BLP issues... So I do not know the correct course of action.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 04:59, 21 May 2008 (UTC)
no worries - I'll ask someone later... have a good one, Privatemusings (talk) 05:01, 21 May 2008 (UTC)

Rangers Strike

Do not edit the Rangers Strike article until we have resolved all issues on the talk page. Please see Talk:Rangers Strike, where I have repeatedly tried to get a discussion going to prevent edit wars. If you are unwilling to talk about it before editing the article we will need to enter some sort of dispute resolution, where editing of the article may be protected from both parties until we can talk out the dispute. Mathman1550 (talk) 18:10, 21 May 2008 (UTC)

You made two posts on that talk page, and if you cannot figure out what the lists are about, you have not read the article as it was before you removed all of the information from it.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 21:33, 21 May 2008 (UTC)

Traffic compressor's IP

Hello! I am a Traffic compressor service user. When I tries to edit some article, I see a message, that my IP (91.186.18.61) had been blocked by you because it is free proxy server IP. Service http://ipid.shat.net shows, that traffic compressor service is not an anonymous proxy server, because my own ip is shown in "HTTP Forwarded For" and a fact of using Traffic compressor service is shown in "Proxy Host/Type". I use this service, because I pay for internet traffic so I want to minumize it. Please, unblock this (91.186.18.61) and, probably, other (91.186.0.0 - 91.186.31.255) IP of Traffic compressor service because it is not an anonymous proxy server. Dinamik (talk) 11:54, 26 May 2008 (UTC)

There are various IPs that are among those that are in fact open proxies. If you can edit now, that means you can edit from a normal internet service provider.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 21:24, 26 May 2008 (UTC)
I can edit with disabled traffic compressor service and from places, different from my home. First method is rather expensive, second - isn't comfortable. If there are free proxies among 91.186.0.0 - 91.186.31.255, please, unblock if not all this IP, but at least 91.186.18.61. As I said, it is an IP of traffic compressor service and it is not an anonymous proxy server because it gives all information in "HTTP Forwarded For". Deliberate criminals can't hide their IP because it is shown by traffic compressor service. Dinamik (talk) 09:00, 28 May 2008 (UTC)
I do not understand what the problem is. The issue is that the range has had open proxies which are unrelated to the traffic compressor service. If you can't edit without the compressor service, then it is a proxy you are using and your IP is not being used on Wikipedia.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 09:04, 28 May 2008 (UTC)

Keisuke Nago

I am sorry that I kept changing the name of the character named 'Keisuke Nago' in the article 'List of Kamen Rider Kiva Characters' to Nago Keisuke. I wrongly assumed that his given name was Nago, since that's what I hear everyone call him, and I've never heard him called Keisuke. I apologize, I didn't know better.

Well, just so you know for the future.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 01:42, 27 May 2008 (UTC)

What in heck is it going to take at this point?

This has been going on for years with MascotGuy. I was able to make successful contact with this kid's mom back when I was "Lucky 6.9" but it seems as if she either isn't watching his computer activity as closely as she claims or they have a dynamic IP. In any event, this just has to stop. We know the physical location, we know the last name on the account, we know the provider. This seems to be a no-brainer. Can't we send a complaint to the IP who (hopefully) will shut it down for abuse? I mean, this has gotten ridiculous and playing "whack-a-MascotGuy sock" has got to be wearing thin with you. So...what's our next move? --PMDrive1061 (talk) 03:10, 29 May 2008 (UTC)

I would say bug our PR guy.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 03:11, 29 May 2008 (UTC)

Done and done. Checking out of work right now, but I'll leave word at home. Unfortunately, I can't seem to get my personal e-mail account to render the verification of this "PMDrive1061" account, but I just got a new e-mail account here at work which I might be able to use in order to contact him. Wish me luck. I have had it with this little maniac. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 03:14, 29 May 2008 (UTC)

  • OK, I've just gotten this doggoned account to register an e-mail address. I'll PM your contact ASAP. Thanks, bro. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 03:16, 29 May 2008 (UTC)

All set. I've sent him an e-mail. Hopefully, MascotGuy will soon be a really irritating memory. Talk to you soon. Best, --PMDrive1061 (talk) 03:29, 29 May 2008 (UTC)

Go-on Gold & Silver's full names

Where did you find these?—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 02:11, 29 May 2008 (UTC)

I didn't, it was the same unknown guy who helped in aiding the movie info. But I see see that the last kanji Hiroto amd Miu's given names are puns for "Soar" and "Wing". Fractyl (talk) 11:41, 29 May 2008 (UTC)
Well, it appeared that you added it. However, we don't know any of this information as it hasn't appeared in any print sources, yet (or clear shots of their jackets).—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 21:51, 29 May 2008 (UTC)

From research, the "羽" kanji means the following: feather, plume, wing, propeller-blade.Fractyl (talk) 04:56, 30 May 2008 (UTC)

I've never seen that as "wing." "Wing" is "tsubasa." That is "hane" which is "feather."—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 04:57, 30 May 2008 (UTC)
In Hira/Kata, Hane is "はね". Plus, in YuGiOh GX, Hane Kuiboh's name is translated as "Winged Kuriboh". Fractyl (talk) 05:00, 30 May 2008 (UTC)
Well, I just know that "羽" is "feather" first.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 05:01, 30 May 2008 (UTC)

I didn't understand if it had any point of view. I know I cut out a lot of text lifted right from the Animal Planet website and replaced it with a paraphrased and copyright free version of my own work.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 22:03, 29 May 2008 (UTC)
That's probably the problem they had with it. Fleetflame 22:08, 29 May 2008 (UTC)

No. Where? Fleetflame 21:23, 31 May 2008 (UTC)
This is the raw text:
<i>'''[[User Talk:Fleetflame|<span style='font-family:"Courier New"'><span style='color:black'>Fl</span><span
style='color:maroon'>ee</span><span style='color:red'>tf</span><span
style='color:maroon'>la</span><span style='color:black'>me</span></span>]]'''</i>
It should be the following:
<i>'''[[User Talk:Fleetflame|<span style="font-family:Courier New"><span style="color:black">Fl</span><span style="color:maroon">ee</span><span style="color:red">tf</span><span style="color:maroon">la</span><span style="color:black">me</span></span>]]'''</i>
Just copy that and I think everything will be fixed.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 21:31, 31 May 2008 (UTC)
Oh, I didn't know those were true breaks. Thanks, I'll fix that. Fleetflame 21:37, 31 May 2008 (UTC)

Latest MascotGuy sock...

...is "Graveyard Guy." The little dingbat actually added his list of his most recently blocked socks to the long term abuse list! I've reported it to AIV. I'm hoping that this name is the most appropriate of all since I want to see this waste of time, effort and resources buried once and for freaking all. Oh, and your contact got back to me. He's forwarding my e-mail and contact info to the Arbcom. It is high time that this idiot's plug is pulled. When it is, his parents will rightfully deal with it. I am sick of this fool, autistic or not. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 22:48, 29 May 2008 (UTC)

Kamen Rider Rei

Though he has Yeti features, he also has Snowy Owl aspects on his armor. Plus, according to asian-culture, a horned owl is considered a ill omen. Fractyl (talk) 05:09, 30 May 2008 (UTC)

They list only the Yeti in the official materials. Nothing about an owl whatsoever.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 05:19, 30 May 2008 (UTC)
Well, Rei's Kivat does resemble an Owl, and if you notice the "Relationship with humans", there's a supernatural theme no different then to the vampire bat to Kivat. Hopefully, the movie will provide info on that. Fractyl (talk) 05:53, 30 May 2008 (UTC)
Still, the promotional materials only mention "Yeti." Nothing about "Snowy Owl."—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 05:54, 30 May 2008 (UTC)
True, but it's bound to mention "owl" in the case of "Reivat", I'm going with Snowy Owl because it's the closest animal to resemble Rei. The yeti is still the major theme, but the owl's influence is seen on the armor. Fractyl (talk) 06:35, 30 May 2008 (UTC)
No mention of "owl" with Rei-Kivat (or Yukivat). However, they also say it's a robot or something.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 06:35, 30 May 2008 (UTC)
Yukivat's much better name than mine, I guess he's like a mobile IXA Kunckle. It seems Dukemon's sources are backing up the "owl" as well, plus the obvious look at his helmet design encourages it. Fractyl (talk) 06:46, 30 May 2008 (UTC)
I haven't seen any mention of owl, though. It's only early in the press releases.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 06:47, 30 May 2008 (UTC)
