List of Old Falconians . Insertion of actor Peter Finch. Finch never went to North Sydney Boys High School [despite school magazine in 1950s stating he did!] His name is not on the school roll. His Wikipedia article correctly states he went to North Sydney Intermediate High School [a separate school that became North Sydney Technical High School - now defunct]. He is therefore claimed to be an Old Lion and not an Old Falconian. Curiously, there is an argument that as the majority of boys at Tech at time of closure transferred to High, all who ever went to Tech [including its various predecessors] became part of High and therefore Old Falconians! This is not a view that anyone is presently pursuing, especially the Old Lions who are very protective of their separate identity. It may become an issue for future generations of scholars and historians. --Saki0710 (talk) 11:10, 27 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

article vs user talk pages[edit]

In general, it's probably better to start a discussion on the article talk page (eg Talk:Alan Mackay-Sim) to discuss changes to a specific article, rather then an editor's talk page (eg User talk:Mitch Ames#Alan Mackay-Sim). That way all editors interested in the article will be able to find/see the discussion more easily. If you start a discussion on an article talk page and you want to be sure that a specific editor sees the discussion, you can use {{ping}} or {{U}} to address/mention the editor and the editor will then be notified (even if they were not explicitly watching the article). I’m wondering what knowledge you have of John Gunn’s education and why you listed him as being educated at Newington College. CheersSproulesLane (talk) 22:17, 30 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
