Starting a new March fracture article?

All you would have to do is overwrite the redirect by clicking the "edit this page" tab on tab, writing the (sourced) article, and saving it. You don't need to wait for the redirect's deletion - just be bold... and happy writing! B.Wind (talk) 03:41, 22 December 2008 (UTC)

Notability of BAMCEF

A tag has been placed on BAMCEF requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Eeekster (talk) 03:15, 2 January 2009 (UTC)

Hello from a Nagpurkar.

Hey, I found your Sandbox while working on category:Nagpur. Good to see a well established user from Nagpur on Wikipedia. From your Sandbox I understand that you are working on Deekshabhoomi. I was really feeling that there are no other good user from Nagpur other than few passing IP addresses or some fly-by newbies. But now I see you here and it feels nice. Do let me know if you need any help (not that I am a champ here, but I would try to help as much as I can). Today I have created Koradi Thermal Power Station article and nominated it to DYK. I usually work on Nagpur related articles and take them minimum to DYK. It would be nice to have you along here. --GPPande 20:04, 5 January 2009 (UTC)

Just in case you did not know - Wikipedia:WikiProject India is a very active group of editors that regularly discuss matters on WT:IN page. Do read (and if possible collaborate) this page regularly. It is a nice place to learn, get help, exchange advise and even interact with fellow Indian Wikipedians. --GPPande 15:02, 10 January 2009 (UTC)

Re: Ustaad Lahuji Salve

Thanks, appreciate your feedback and contributions to the article. Will try to add references sometime. Currently working on Changdev Maharaj, another of the unsung heros of Varkari sampraday.

Thanks for the tip of did you know?

Sheo Dan Mal

Dear Shivashree,

I've started a bio of a famous Indian architect from Nagpur, Sheo Dan Mal. Can you develop the bio? You are from Nagpur, and you have developed Nagpur-related articles. It has a good chance of qualifing for "Did you know".

Have a nice day. :-) AdjustShift (talk) 14:09, 20 January 2009 (UTC)

Thanks. Have a nice day. :-) AdjustShift (talk) 17:15, 21 January 2009 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (File:Panjabrao Deshmukh stamp.gif)

Thanks for uploading File:Panjabrao Deshmukh stamp.gif. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:30, 23 January 2009 (UTC)

Under the guidelines of stamp fair use, a stamp can be used "to illustrate the stamp in question' (as opposed to things appearing in the stamp's design, [that is Panjabrao in this case])". Read WP:NONFREE for more. --Redtigerxyz Talk 12:51, 23 January 2009 (UTC)

The Great departure of Buddha

Hi Yellowmonkey, Please go through Talk:Gautama_Buddha#The_Great_Departure. I think you can help me in this matter as you are a member of wikiproject Buddhism and an active contributor to the article. Ganesh Dhamodkar (Talk) 07:41, 11 February 2009 (UTC)

Also go through this edit, which I had done about two years ago. Ganesh Dhamodkar (Talk) 07:50, 11 February 2009 (UTC)

Ambedkar seems to be a bit non-mainstream though, although frankness, the traditional account is not really supposed to be a literal account. YellowMonkey (click here to vote for world cycling's #1 model!) 00:41, 12 February 2009 (UTC)

Unreferenced BLPs

Hello Shivashree! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 4 of the articles that you created are tagged as Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring these articles up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 941 article backlog. Once the articles are adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the list:

  1. Bhau Panchbhai - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL
  2. Bhalchandra Nemade - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL

AfD nomination of Bhau Panchbhai

An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is Bhau Panchbhai. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Bhau Panchbhai. Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.

Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:08, 17 February 2010 (UTC)

Thanks for your comments there on this AfD, I notice that that AfD has been relisted for further comment. WP:V actually allows (although it doesn't prefer, but it allows) sources that aren't written in English, see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Verifiability#Non-English_sources -- if you have non-English (reliable, secondary) sources that would help us establish notability, that would be greatly appreciated. --Joe Decker (talk) 00:34, 27 February 2010 (UTC)
