Welcome![edit]

Hello, SirjiIndia, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of your recent edits to the page Chamar did not conform to Wikipedia's verifiability policy, and may have been removed. Wikipedia articles should refer only to facts and interpretations that have been stated in print or on reputable websites or in other media. Always remember to provide a reliable source for quotations and for any material that is likely to be challenged, or it may be removed. Wikipedia also has a related policy against including original research in articles.

If you are stuck and looking for help, please see the guide for citing sources or come to the new contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

DS alert[edit]

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

March 2019[edit]

Please stop adding unsourced content, as you did on Chamar. This violates Wikipedia's policy on verifiability. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. NitinMlk (talk) 21:30, 26 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

  • The first time you made unsourced edits, you did not know about the relevant policies and guidelines of this project. But since then you have twice added a huge amount of unsourced or poorly sourced content at Chamar, even after receiving a relevant message from me. That is not acceptable. For caste-related articles, we need scholarly sources – see WP:HISTRS. If you have such sources then feel free to expand the Chamar article. But you must stop adding unsourced information in the mainspace right now. BTW, user-generated sources are also unacceptable. - NitinMlk (talk) 21:38, 26 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Today you have again added content which is supported by an unreliable source – see WP:UGC. So the content is unacceptable. As a general rule, personal websites, personal blogs, caste-affiliated websites, etc. are considered unreliable on this project. Also, many people listed by you seem to be alive, so we can only list them in Chamar article if they self-identify as Chamars – see here for details. In short, if a reliable book, journal, newspaper, magazine, etc. lists someone as Chamar then you can mention the same in the Chamar article after providing the relevant source, e.g. the sole entry at Chamar#Notable people is backed up by a reliable source, so that entry is acceptable. - NitinMlk (talk) 18:10, 28 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

June 2019[edit]

Please stop your disruptive editing.

If you continue to disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at Chamar, you may be blocked from editing. Alpha3031 (tc) 03:32, 8 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Notice about community sanctions[edit]

The Wikipedia community has permitted administrators to impose discretionary sanctions on any editor who is active on any page about social groups, explicitly including caste associations and political parties, related to India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal. Discretionary sanctions can be used against an editor who repeatedly or seriously fails to adhere to the purpose of Wikipedia, any expected standards of behavior, or any normal editorial process. If you engage in inappropriate behavior in this area, you may be placed under sanctions, which can include blocks, a revert limitation, or a topic ban. The discussion leading to the imposition of these sanctions can be read here.

Please familiarise yourself with the information page at Wikipedia:General sanctions/South Asian social groups. Primefac (talk) 13:03, 8 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

May 2021[edit]

Hello, I'm InterestGather. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Hemu, but you didn't provide a source. I’ve removed it for now, but if you’d like to include a citation to a reliable source and re-add it, please do so! If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. ✯✬✩⛥InterestGather (talk) 06:11, 14 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
