Would it be possible to make templates, categories, and disambiguation pages not appear in Category:Unknown-importance New York City public transportation articles? Thank you. --NE2 20:10, 23 April 2007 (UTC)

Thank you; however your change seems to have killed the unknown importance category completely. Setting NYPT=yes without a NYPT-importance does not place the page in the category. --NE2 20:11, 24 April 2007 (UTC)
Just a reminder... you don't seem to have done this. Maybe I'll try to help fix it, but it would be easier if the template wasn't protected. --NE2 18:59, 3 May 2007 (UTC)
Doh! Thanks for the bump. Slambo (Speak) 19:00, 3 May 2007 (UTC)
Should I bump again? --NE2 12:46, 8 May 2007 (UTC)

B-) I'd been thinking about this offline, just haven't had a chance to try my next test. Slambo (Speak) 13:05, 8 May 2007 (UTC)

I don't think it worked... [1] doesn't show the category, and neither does Talk:Glen Head (LIRR station) after some purging. In this edit it looks like you confused class and importance. It looks like removing the switch completely will fix it, since you're already testing for importance. --NE2 15:47, 10 May 2007 (UTC)

Ah, it looks like that's intended to test if it's a category or article. Isn't that what SUBJECTPAGENAME does? --NE2 15:50, 10 May 2007 (UTC)
Yes, the problem with the current setup is that only articles that have a class specified are placed in there. --NE2 15:53, 10 May 2007 (UTC)
  • sigh*, you found the one test I didn't try. B-) This is what I find so frustrating about programming these days. Slambo (Speak) 15:57, 10 May 2007 (UTC)

Here we go... ifeq NAMESPACE with Talk. I implemented it on Template:WikiProject buses and I believe it works properly. --NE2 16:02, 10 May 2007 (UTC)

Regarding the "HHL redirects here, see HHL (disambiguation)" notice on Habbo Hotel

Just wondering, what relation does HHL have to Habbo Hotel? –Spebi 07:16, 3 May 2007 (UTC)

Ahhhh, thanks for that, just a bit curious :) –Spebi 05:23, 4 May 2007 (UTC)

WP:WPChi bot tagging

I am the Director of the Chicago Project, which has begun tagging articles with {{ChicagoWikiProject}}. This is a newly active project. In order to quickly assess all the thousands of articles within the domain of the project I have created a list of categories that I am having a bot tag. A bot is adding the tag to virtually all articles and subcategories that fall under either Category:Chicago, Illinois or Category:Cook County, Illinois and a few other categories except for some subcategories of Category:Chicago railroads that will likely be manually tagged. As you can see the greatest difficulty is the structure of the Chicago railroads category. Although for some time Chicago was the nexus of railroad transportation this category is quite problematic. most of the subcategories contain fewer than 80% articles that are relevant for WPChi. It is the only category structured with such a problem. Is there any chance that the category could be reorganized or an alternate hierarchy could be establhished to make it friendly to regional bot tagging. I imagine that in the future most regional projects would want something that a bot could handle analogous to:

Railroad companies headquartered in Chicago a sub cat of Category:Companies based in Chicago
Railroad companies providing service in Chicago a sub cat of Category:Transportation in Chicago
Railroad routes reaching Chicago Category:Transportation in Chicago
Railroad trains/lines serving Chicago Category:Transportation in Chicago TonyTheTiger (talk/cont/bio) 17:21, 5 May 2007 (UTC)

Super Chief delisted as Good Article.

I certainly do apologize if I am misinterpreting the situation, but it appears that you are the creator of the article Super Chief which was tagged as a good article in October of 2005 by you without a review. If that is the case, it is quite surprising considering you are an admin. If that is not the case then, again, I apologize. Either way, it's been delisted. Questionable promotion aside, it doesn't meet GA standards. Regards, LaraLoveTalk/Contribs 19:16, 7 May 2007 (UTC)

WPTIS and TWP assessment on the template

Just a small note. The assessment on the TWP template gives B etc class fine, which appears on the WPTIS assessment page fine as the set class. However, the set importance does not appear and so it shows the default no importance. Simply south 23:48, 7 May 2007 (UTC)

Hello, Slambo. An automated process has found and will an image or media file tagged as nonfree media, and thus is being used under fair use that is in your userspace. The image (Image:MTA disc.png) was found at the following location: User:Slambo/Template usage test. This image or media will be removed per criterion number 9 of our non-free content policy. The image or media will be replaced with Image:NonFreeImageRemoved.svg , so your formatting of your userpage should be fine. This does not necessarily mean that the image is being deleted, or that the image is being removed from other pages. It is only being removed from the page mentioned above. All mainspace instances of this image will not be affected Please find a free image or media to replace it with, and or remove the image from your userspace. GAC backlog elimination drive

This form message is being sent to you either due to your membership with WikiProject Good Articles and/or your inclusion on the Wikipedia:Good article candidates/List of reviewers. A new drive has been started requesting that all members review at least one article (or more, if you wish!) within the next two weeks at GAC to help in removing the large backlog. This message is being sent to all GA members and even members who have been recently reviewing articles. There are almost 130 members in this project and about 180 articles that currently need to be reviewed. If each member helps to review just one or two articles, the majority of the backlog will be cleared. Since the potential amount of reviewers may significantly increase, please make sure to add :{{GAReview}} underneath the article you are reviewing to ensure that only one person is reviewing each article. Additionally, the GA criteria may have been modified since your last review, so look over the criteria again to help you to determine if a candidate is GA-worthy. If you have any questions about this drive or the review process, leave a message on the GAC talk page. --Nehrams2020 23:47, 24 May 2007 (UTC)

Pioneer Zephyr FAR

To be honest, we have so much catching up to do at WP:CHIASSESS, that all WP:FARs and WP:GA/Rs will be incomplete from our end. You can see we have barely assessed 10% of the articles that we have tagged. Thus, we take a quick look to see if WP:GAs and WP:FAs seem to be up to current citation standards as a signal of whether the article is up to par. If it is not we post it for review and let the specialists look at it. I am just relieved that this article still has an active editor who is concerned. Getting a substandard article adopted is sometimes tough. With a serious active editor willing to take a shot at cleaning it up, it will have a good shot to keep its quality rating. Best of luck to you in this end. I am sorry I have no further instructions for the advancement of the article. Have you thought of a peer review. This might get you some additional feedback in a few days. BTW, I split the refs and the notes section to make it cleaner looking. TonyTheTiger (talk/cont/bio/tcfkaWCDbwincowtchatlotpsoplrttaDCLaM) 18:47, 29 May 2007 (UTC)

Philately

The Philately Project are very short on editors for all the philatelic articles especially starting to make articles for the stamp issuing entities. Most countries are still redlinks here, here and here so if you have some knowledge, time and willingness it would be great to get some of these done. There only seem to be 2 or 3 active philatelic editors around. (please answer here, not on my talk page) Cheers ww2censor 17:55, 27 May 2007 (UTC)

CPR CLC Locomotives

I've run across a site that's got some really good data and imagery on the CPR's CLC diesel-electrics; the problem is that I'm not entirely sure how to wedge the thing into all or some of the FM/CLC articles. Should I put the link only on the CLC page, put it on the C- and H-Liner pages, the FM page, what? Any advice is appreciated.--Foxhound 18:54, 31 May 2007 (UTC)
