Disambiguation link notification for August 16[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Tanur Assembly constituency, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Tanur. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 06:12, 16 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Recent edit reversion[edit]

In this edit here, I reverted some information that appears to be a violation of our copyright policy.

I provided a brief summary of the problem in the edit summary, which should be visible just below my name. You can also click on the "view history" tab in the article to see the recent history of the article. This should be an edit with my name, and a parenthetical comment explaining why your edit was reverted. If that information is not sufficient to explain the situation, please ask.

I do occasionally make mistakes. We get hundreds of reports of potential copyright violations every week, and sometimes there are false positives, for a variety of reasons. (Perhaps the material was moved from another Wikipedia article, or the material was properly licensed but the license information was not obvious, or the material is in the public domain but I didn't realize it was public domain, and there can be other situations generating a report to our Copy Patrol tool that turn out not to be actual copyright violations.) If you think my edit was mistaken, please politely let me know and I will investigate. S Philbrick(Talk) 12:49, 26 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your contributions to List of most-viewed Instagram reels. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it is unclear if any source establishes these as the absolute Top 5, one of the sources just discussed "some of the most-viewed" [1] rather than absolute Top 5. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. MarioGom (talk) 10:13, 8 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

noted , This list includes name and video of most viewed Instagram Reels with its reference along with its direct video link. This reduces the possibility of changing it to draft and wants to change it in the main space Like YouTube Video Lists and Instagram Post Likes and Followers List currently Article Available category includes this, which is going to move to main space Spworld2 10:30, 8 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Politics of Kerala[edit]

After deletion of the "meme trolls in Kerala" thing, there appears to be at least two-editor support Freiland and me) for adding a section called something like "Social media" at Politics of Kerala that uses the better-quality ones of the sources you provided at AfD, to concisely and narrowly focus on use of social media (including but not overly dwelling on memes and trolling) by politicians and their supporters in Kerala. If you try to WP:COATRACK it into a "memes in Kerala are magically special" or "there's a unique trolling community in Kerala" story, you can expect it to be reverted. But if it sticks to just reporting the salient facts without elaboration and original research that paints and exaggeratory picture, then it would probably be useful. Some stuff to focus on: Kerala being somewhat behind-the-times until recently in this department, then over a fairly short span becoming very social-media active, especially in regards to citizen activism, and politicians themselves and their boosters using the Internet for campaigning, in lieu of street-corner rallies and paper leaflets. Plus two instances of governmental crack-down on socio-political trollers. That sort of stuff. Keep it on-topic and it will work well.  — SMcCandlish ¢ 😼  00:59, 11 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I don't see article creation as a warning sound, I think Wikipedia can be a source for the world to know the truth about social media special in Kerala. I would like to include a part Kerala Social Media Politics in "Politics in Kerala" which has a clear source in this world, Hope more wikipedia professors like you to follow and post mortem on the slightest doubt, thank you for your great well wish. --Owner of magical cat 🐈 (talk) 11:47, 11 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of Ayisha Abdul Basith[edit]

Hello Spworld2,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Ayisha Abdul Basith for deletion, because it seems to be copied from another source, probably infringing copyright.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to rewrite it in your own words, you can contest this deletion, but don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!

Controversy sections[edit]

Regarding your recent edits on the articles on E. P. Jayarajan and Arya Rajendran. Please note that your edits were reverted not for lacking reliable sources but because it violates several other policies. Please see and familiarise yourself with the following guidelines:

  • WP:CRITS, which states that sections within articles dedicated to controversies must not be used unless there is a compelling reason to include them. Using terms like "controversies" as section headings should be avoided. Instead if the information is relevant it can be included in other sections.
  • WP:CRYSTALBALL: Your content includes speculation, rumours or presumptions, which are not suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia articles. For example, your edits on E. P. Jayarajan includes a speculation that the meeting was about Jayarajan joining the BJP. The sources only verify the occurence of a meeting not on what it was about.
  • WP:UNDUE: The content should represent all significant viewpoints fairly. Your edits regarding Arya Rajendran's alleged abuse of a driver misrepresent the situation. The cited sources only mention an altercation between the mayor and a driver, with a police investigation currently underway. You must also note that the police case is against the driver for abusing the mayor. It seems you are trying to push your POV on the article. Also, using a strong term like "abuse" is misleading and not supported by the cited sources.
  • WP:EVENT: Above all, Wikipedia is not a newspaper, it is an encyclopaedia. Random events should not be included unless they are of significant relevance to the subject matter.

Wikipedia is not a platform for personal agendas or political biases. Your edits must align with Wikipedia's policies, and WP:RELIABILITY is just one of them. I am removing the content added by you until you can clarify why they should be included. If you still want the content to be published, please discuss before you blindly revert, I will then take it cup for dispute resolution. Malayala Sahityam (talk) 10:34, 3 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. Thank you for your response and sorry for the delay in replying to the message. I cannot see anything in your reply that justifies your previous edits or any addressal of my concerns regarding the violation of Wikipedia policies such as WP:CRITS, WP:CRYSTALBALL or WP:NOTNEWS. Instead of addressing these issues, you have chosen to accuse me of WP:COI and WP:NOTPROMO without providing any evidence or explanation. Let me clarify a few points: I made only a single previous edit on E. P. Jayarajan which was as part of my effort to revert all edits made by another user. There is no basis for accusing me of WP:COI when I have no previous history of edits on the article. Before making accusations, I suggest you familiarise yourself with what WP:COI and WP:NOTPROMO actually mean. Accusing someone of serious misconduct such as WP:COI without evidence is against Wikipedia's guidelines. If you can provide satisfactory answers to my concerns about your edits, I am willing to discuss further. However, if you continue to insist on your WP:COI accusation, please escalate it at WP:COICOIN.Malayala Sahityam (talk) 12:29, 5 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
