August 2022[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Paladins (video game) has been reverted.
Your edit here to Paladins (video game) was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links in references which are discouraged per our reliable sources guideline (see also this list of frequently-discussed sources). The reference(s) you added or changed (https://www.reddit.com/r/Paladins/comments/53qusf/a_brief_history_of_paladins_as_response_to/) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! --XLinkBot (talk) 15:35, 5 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent editing history at Paladins (video game) shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See the bold, revert, discuss cycle for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. Request reason:

The Paladins page's setting section was outdated and inaccurate. I proceeded to edit it to be more accurate, but was reverted twice, first by an automated bot, followed by ‎Praxidicae. I was given absolutely no reason why the latter reverted my edit, which included a source directly from a developer, yet they reverted the entire thing. I undid my revert, as I was given no reasons. I attempted to reach out on their talk page and solve the problem, but wasn't answered, with Jéské instead responding in their place, informing me the issue was the lack of sources, and telling me more more in-depth information should go on a Paladins wiki, despite the information I added not being super in-depth. Prax then undid my edits again (in which they removed a review of the game from the reception section because they personally didn't like it. Kind of seems a bit biased there), finally giving some sort of response, yet insulting my edit and calling it "cruft", while they deleted by response on their talk page while being an asshole and telling me to "learn to read instructions and sign messages". After getting Jéské's message, I began editing the page once more to now include sources, something the original page completely lacked altogether in the setting section. Despite that, Prax reported me for edit warring. I attempted to explain myself and ask why they never explained themselves, yet their responses largely only consisted of further aggressive behavior towards me, making constant insults and accusing me of attacking them on their talk page, which I never did, having barely even referenced them; they also kept telling me to "learn to read simple instructions", despite the fact them and Jéské didn't say to do anything beyond informing me of sources and Jéské mentioning more in-depth information should go on a Paladins wiki, yet the information I added wasn't any more over the top in-depth than was already on the page. I asked Prax to explain what their problems were in regards to insulting my edits by calling them "cruft", yet they conveniently refused to answer because I called them an asshole, with me being blocked before I could further respond and Prax proceeding to continue insulting me in their talk page. And now my sourced edits ‎were reverted by ‎לילך5 because I linked to YouTube, despite the fact said links were official trailers for the game uploaded by the developers. Prax has been unhelpful and incredibly rude, avoiding working things out with me at nearly every turn and completely reverting my edits, despite there being information such as outright sources directly from the developers being added. I find it ridiculous they get to act this way, yet me calling them out for being an asshole is unacceptable? I admit some of what I said wasn't the kindest, but it's still ridiculous they insult me far more, accuse me of things I didn't do, and edit war themselves, yet only I end up blocked. I also find it ridiculous I'm being blocked for adding sources literally directly from the developers and official accounts with the page being reverted to a version that doesn't even have any sources whatsoever. How is no sources more reliable than content from the official game channels and developers? Sru111 (talk) 20:52, 5 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
