Hi! I'm afraid I've removed the translation work you did at Thomas Hanbury because as far as I can see, and through no fault of yours, the Italian wiki article is a wholesale copyright violation dating from 2008. I've asked for some advice on that here. Obviously you couldn't have known that and were editing entirely in good faith. There's now a source in the article from which it could be expanded. There's also probably a lot more information about this interesting man.

Just a note for the future: if you are planning to translate an article it's probably better not to copy-paste the original text, but instead write from scratch. It's quite OK to write one sentence, add a reference and an {{expand}} template, and let others add to it over time. Adding foreign-language text here creates extra work at Wikipedia:Pages needing translation into English, which is already overloaded. By the way, the Italian {{Bio}} tag for the start of a biography does not work here - you need to write the stuff out by hand. Your draft article, Draft:Byzantine pottery[edit]

Hello, Steko. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Byzantine pottery".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. Sam Sailor 18:13, 28 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
