Hi Stuart, I do think it would be a good idea to keep your head down and not edit the Obverse Books article, or any article directly related to OB's publications. Fair enough - it seems (even on a site as mentally challenging as Wikipedia) an odd idea that a person who knows about a thing shouldn't talk about that thing or post links to that thing (esecially since I don't post links to other links on either the website or the our facebook/twitter page only the announcements themselves - and apparently these places aren't reliable enough anyway), but hey ho, that wouldn't even make the top twenty inanities on Wikipedia :) StuartDouglas (talk) 11:33, 21 May 2013 (UTC)

Those are suggestions there is no prohibition from editing a COI area. I'd just understand that if people know they scrutinize you more. For example I wrote Dax Charles article, I know this person personally, that didn't mean I couldn't write the article I just had to make sure it was sourced with WP:RS and followed WP:NPOV. regarding "agendas"

Yes, i do have an "agenda", to keep Wikipedia an encyclopedia whose articles meet the WP:N requirement for a stand alone article so that Wikipedia remains an encyclopedia and WP:NOT a free advertising platform or free fan wiki.
