Hello! Thank you kindly for you informative response. I am indeed quite new to the editorial process of wikipedia, and this is the one and only edit I feel I have any domain in, as the topic is of my human. I can understand how this may pose as a conflict of interest, but my intentions are only to provide more current representation of my more recent achievements and milestones, correct some factual errors from the older version of the article, while generally updating the article to 2022. I would be more than grateful if an editor such as yourself would be kind enough to proofread any of the contributions made, as I assure you I maintained a neutral and factual account of my more recent achievements within my career. I'd be more than happy to provide any proof or reference to any questions regarding the content of my contributions to this page. His music was recently placed in Netflix's, First Kill (TV series), the BET show Games People Play (song "In My Breath"), Showtime's The Chi (song "Bucket List"), the feature film Berlin, I Love You (song "Don't Look Back"), Fox's Lego Masters (song "Building Bridges"), with music composed for indie films "Kasama", Uprooted, "Bodega De Edgar", "LA Women Rising", "Alzheimers", "Forced Perspective", and "Wild Heart". His music was used in a series of two radio ads for American Family Insurance. MA/SA is best known for his Grammy nominated collaboration with Chicago rapper Lupe Fiasco on the single "Superstar". He was signed to Lupe Fiasco's 1st & 15th Entertainment record label, a subsidiary of Atlantic Records, and CandyRat Records.

Matthew Santos was born on December 28, 1982, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. His mother is of Welsh and Scandinavian decent, and his father is of Filipino descent.[1]
He graduated from Southwest High School in Minneapolis.[2] He moved to Chicago in 2001 to study music composition at Columbia College Chicago.[3]
===Music career===
Santos released his album Matters of the Bittersweet in November 2007, under indie label Candyrat Records. Following the release of the album, he developed a following surrounding his video performances on YouTube.[4][5]
His five-piece band includes Aviva Jaye (vocals, keyboard), Robert Tucker (drums), Graham Burris (bass), and Matthew Nelson (keyboard).[6][7]
In 2006, Santos was featured on Lupe Fiasco's Food & Liquor album on the song "American Terrorist."[8] Santos was featured on three additional tracks on Lupe Fiasco's The Cool, released in December 2007; "Superstar", "Streets On Fire", and "Fighters".[8][9] Santos joined Fiasco on his world tour in 2008, including appearances on MTV's Total Request Live and Spring Break, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson and a debut talk show performance on David Letterman's first live show after the 2007 Writer's Guild of America Strike.[10][11]
In 2007, Santos opened the mtvU Woodie Awards with Lupe Fiasco and performed at the 2008 mtv's Video Music Awards.[12] In addition, Santos performed at Glastonbury Festival, Bonnaroo Festival, the Las Vegas Vegoose Music Festival, Lollapalooza Chicago, South by Southwest, Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, Summerfest, and Chicago's Around the Coyote Arts Festival.
In 2009, Santos was featured on the single "Chaconne" by Twin Cities hip hop artist Dessa, a member of Doomtree, from her album A Badly Broken Code. That summer, he was featured in Chicago magazine as one of the city's top singles.[13]
In 2010, Santos released the album This Burning Ship of Fools.[14]
In 2012, Santos released the album Quickly Disappearing.
In 2015, Santos released the album Into the Further.
In 2015, MONAKR released the EP Calling Out.
In 2020, Santos released the single Back to Earth under MA/SA, followed by the single Sand in my Pocket, and the Billie Eilish cover Everything I Wanted.
In 2021, Santos released the EP Shook under MA/SA, followed by the single TRY under MA/SA.
In 2022, Santos released the EP MMXXII under MA/SA, followed by single "Give My Life For You".
