ONS

Eh, who knows. But with all this talk about how "Extreme Rules" was a secondary, yet official part of the previous couple events, it only made perfect sense to reflect the articles as such. Mshake3 (talk) 02:38, 29 January 2009 (UTC)

I think I'll do the report because he has begun changing the names in the infoboxes to articles like Judgment Day (2009) and he already violated 3RR on each article.--TRUCO 02:50, 29 January 2009 (UTC)

TNA Against All Odds

So I think the TNA official website at this link http://www.tnawrestling.com/component/option,com_wrapper/Itemid,181/ lists the Four Way Match as the main event and on the first line it read MAIN EVENT FOR THE TNA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP Team 3D vs. Kurt Angle vs. champion "The Icon" Sting I think there is no more reliable source than this, you look like an idiot when you argue on a losing case.Miroa12004 24 Jan 2009 —Preceding unsigned comment added by Miroa12004 (talkcontribs) 09:26, 24 January 2009 (UTC)

Now that I added the source and edited the page, you can't do anything but shut up and leave it as it is.Miroa12004`24 Jan 2009 comment added by Miroa12004 (talkcontribs) 16:22, 24 January 2009 (UTC)

I was citing No Way Out for the way things were written not for the small template. That comes from the Roster pages. It makes it too hard to read.--WillC 00:56, 25 January 2009 (UTC)
Do you know how many ips and new users edit that thing? When it was first promoted it was like the same way AAO is written. I placed the tables in just a little while after it was promoted. Following the same example. There is a user going around making the tables smaller and placing the small template in because he wants too.--WillC 01:03, 25 January 2009 (UTC)
At one point the names were in the notes section. That is why I placed the names in there in the first place.--WillC 01:15, 25 January 2009 (UTC)
The way I see it, you were the one who removed the names in the first place. [1] I removed them anyway.--WillC 01:21, 25 January 2009 (UTC)
Articles got to FL, GA, and FA without of the Out of Universe format. But today they barely can. It makes no difference.--WillC 02:49, 25 January 2009 (UTC)
But was not made official until last night. TNA had two weeks to place it on their site. They didn't until last night. It goes in order of being made official. They didn't even refer to Creed's and Lethal's win until last night. They acted like it didn't even happen last week. (Maybe because they knew that last night's episode would be shit so they thought to wiat).--WillC 02:02, 31 January 2009 (UTC)
Even if that is true, it still was not placed on the site till last night. In the end I don't care. Just trying to make it correct since really for the past few months I've been the only experienced editor working on the article. Maybe it is me being an ass, IDK. Do whatever. In the end it will not look like that much longer if by next week I have the report written for it. I've fell a few events behind though. Was trying to buy Bound for Glory IV tonight but freaking Best Buy didn't have it.--WillC 02:19, 31 January 2009 (UTC)

If you want. Take a look at my user page. I was one of the major contributors to the Wii article and helped make it a FA, so I can display that userbox. You could do the same if Backlash passes. TJ Spyke 02:26, 7 February 2009 (UTC)
I really recommend (well to late now) but Y2J should have nominated it since he wanted to, just so you know, TJ since you nominated it, you may have to resolve any problems that come up, unless you co-nom it with Y2J.--TRUCO 02:29, 7 February 2009 (UTC)
Oh okay, but I think a good copyedit and a second peer review would have worked well for the article. I generally review PPVs at FAC for the content like jargon, plot, and PPV format. Other users, however, review it for grammar, images, sources, which technically has not gone well for pay-per-views.--TRUCO 02:32, 7 February 2009 (UTC)

Because it's not going to work. How do we put 24 5-star matches in the article? And no one is actually going to try to put them in there, except for the WWE wrestlers' pages. RandySavageFTW (talk) 21:28, 8 February 2009 (UTC)
Well it's not the only excuse, Kawada and Misawa have 19 and 23 respectively. And Taue has like 15, Akiyama has like 10. How about these guys can keep them since there's so many and their articles are relatively short? RandySavageFTW (talk) 21:48, 8 February 2009 (UTC)
If you're going to go around removing them all, you should be the one who puts it in the article then. Flair has 6 but his article is so big I guess they could all be put in there. All of the Japanese guys have short articles. RandySavageFTW (talk) 21:56, 8 February 2009 (UTC)

World Tag Team Titles.

You're picking nits TJ.

I thought that whatever brand that WWE.com listed a belt under, that's what we went with here.

I didn't think we took it on ourselves to come to our own conclusions.

Vjmlhds 20:10, 16 February 2009 (UTC)

But we are taking it upon ourselves to determine what brand a belt belongs to.

The simplest way would be to go with whatever WWE.com has the belts listed under, with a note about any ECW/Raw or ECW/SD crossovers.

It's just very inconsistent to go with WWE.com on some occasions, and not others.

When WWE.com has a title listed under a certain brand, then by default that's the brand it belongs to.

Seems pretty self explanatory to me.

Vjmlhds 20:16, 16 February 2009 (UTC)

When WWE lists a title under a specific brand, then doesn't that indicate that that title belongs to that brand. Remember the draft, when the champions took their belts with them (and were then listed under the new brand they went to).

Same principle--he who has the belt determines the brand it's listed under.

Just trying to stay consistent.

Vjmlhds 20:24, 16 February 2009 (UTC)

[2]

Read where it says new championship introduction.

Thank you.

Vjmlhds 20:38, 16 February 2009 (UTC)

Isn't the article saying that (in speculation) that Raw has no tag team titles, since MNM 2.0 have the belts. In other words SD has the WWE tag straps, ECW has the World straps, thus Vince needs to make a third set for Raw?

What am I missing? Seems pretty cut and dry to me.

Do you like the new table? I personally prefer the old one, and want your opinion! Like, come on, in the old one, you could easily find out the date of departure of wrestlers, now you can't. Altenhofen (talk)

Well Yeah, that is an issue, but is there even an "employees who died while under contract" section? I don't believe there is. I also have another question, it doesen't involve wrestling though, and I will ask it at the bottom of the page. Altenhofen (talk) 22:21, 21 February 2009 (UTC)

Gail Kim

Okay, but did you check the wording that they have under that video which states Gail Kim is coming to SmackDown [which implies that she is returning to the company]. The problem is that you are placing it as "training" video [that is wording that is not necessary, just a straightforward statement is needed, like that it confirms her return via a promo.--TRUCO 22:31, 21 February 2009 (UTC)
Yeah, that's what I meant. I should have been more elaborate. But in a way the video also implies that, why would they have a video of her training for like no reason? --TRUCO 22:53, 21 February 2009 (UTC)
Yep, best.--TRUCO 23:00, 21 February 2009 (UTC)

Re:WWE has them in this order

WWE has them in the following order - WWE, World, ECW, IC, US, World Tag, WWE Tag, Divas/Women's. [3] This revised order is to reflect brand order. --UnquestionableTruth-- 01:34, 22 February 2009 (UTC)

Actually, WWE has always gone by the order of Raw/ECW/SmackDown. They do this to reflect the weekly schedule order of the brands. In fact, for try-branded PPVs near the end of the brand exclusive PPV era in 2007, WWE ordered the brands as such during the PPVs [4] [5] --UnquestionableTruth-- 01:43, 22 February 2009 (UTC)
Actually TJ, following One Night Stand 2007, all PPV intros no longer mention brands. So your statement is false. Here's your GAB 2008 reference [6] --UnquestionableTruth-- 02:15, 22 February 2009 (UTC)
Again TJ, not to make an issue of this, but - baseless argument. I am open for further discussion. --UnquestionableTruth-- 04:56, 23 February 2009 (UTC)
The final two PPVs to feature the Raw, ECW, SD intro in that order were JD and ONS. Following that the PPVs were no longer mentioned. I am aware of how they are listed on WWE.com. However, the Raw, ECW, and SD order is done to reflect the scheduled order of the brand (same reason as to why the order was changed as such for the PPV intros near the end of the brand exclusive PPV era). Now if you would like to go by the order WWE lists its titles on WWE.com then the order would be WWE, World, ECW, IC, US, World Tag, WWE Tag, and Divas/Women's. --UnquestionableTruth-- 05:40, 23 February 2009 (UTC)

Hey just a quick note to say I deleted the shoot style matches part on the TNA page because they discontinued them because they were unpopular with the fans so I thought it was an irrelevant part of the page. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Gilagod101 (talkcontribs) 18:19, 24 February 2009 (UTC)

Save the Netbooks

Can you please identify specific problems with the Save the Netbooks article so as they can be resolved? The templates are to highlight areas that need cleanup, not to permanently brand articles people don't like - so far there have been very few issues identified and the subject is clearly notable. -- samj inout 22:41, 25 February 2009 (UTC)

Also, given this is of ZERO benefit to me whatsoever, perhaps you could reconsider your 'delete' vote. Blatant advertising ("Pages that exclusively promote some entity and that would need to be fundamentally rewritten to become encyclopedic") is a basis for a delete vote but this content is definitely encyclopedic. -- samj inout 23:52, 25 February 2009 (UTC)

Re: NOE

I'm not eating any crow, because there was no indication that the name wouldn't have been either of the two. And none of the opposition was saying "well it could be something completely different." It was simply another change, and the articles should be reflected as such. Mshake3 (talk) 02:37, 26 February 2009 (UTC)

No, I'm not changing my habits. The consesus was formed with shitty reasoning, and I just cannot allow users with such terrible reasoning to make decisions around here. Mshake3 (talk) 02:50, 26 February 2009 (UTC)

Who the fuck is Luther Hall?

Seriously. Big Luth (talk) 17:31, 26 February 2009 (UTC)

WP:DUCK, equals an indef block. -MBK004 19:31, 26 February 2009 (UTC)

Yeah...

...my bad for trying to make Wikipedia accurate. I forgot it was about egos, not articles. Big Luth (talk) 17:38, 26 February 2009 (UTC)

Anyway, why do you want me banned? I've done nothing malicious. Petty. Big Luth (talk) 17:44, 26 February 2009 (UTC)
I'd suggest you actually concentrate on getting articles accurate first... Big Luth (talk) 17:47, 26 February 2009 (UTC)
It's not right, you know that as well as I do. The only reason the discussion is there and not on the article's talk page is to avoid casual users seeing it. Big Luth (talk) 17:53, 26 February 2009 (UTC)

How is that vandalism?

I just sourced it to prove its not vandalism. Please stop being so ignorant. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Richieice (talkcontribs) 01:26, 27 February 2009 (UTC)

Please pay better attention before you run around leaving people warnings for "vandalizing" the article. I didn't vandalize a damn thing, I restored the last good version of the article after it was vandalized by Canarias. -- AnmaFinotera (talk · contribs) 00:56, 1 March 2009 (UTC)

This Ip is messing with articles, and I do not know the proper procedure for dealing with IP vandals. Altenhofen 20:56, 1 March 2009 (UTC)

Well, I sorta knew that, it's just; I haven't given a warning in abou 9 months, an I can't find the page for warnings. I searched for it a bit, but I kept getting the wrong pages. Altenhofen 21:02, 1 March 2009 (UTC)
OK. Altenhofen 21:04, 1 March 2009 (UTC)

XI

First off im not your "dude" second off and i quote, "-I put a little bit of personal bias in here. It happens whenever something gets "ranked". Now you tell me why we need to opinions that the ppv sucks but we have one saying it was good? Ill put it up to a vote in the talk page but only because i dont want to get blocked again, "bro"LifeStroke420 (talk) 04:15, 2 March 2009 (UTC)

I'm not saying it wasnt poorly reviewed i think in the opener in the article it pretty clearly says it i dont understand why we need TWO of the same side but one of the other opinion.LifeStroke420 (talk) 04:25, 2 March 2009 (UTC)

Look if you want to keep discussing this take it to XI board im done with you.LifeStroke420 (talk) 04:34, 2 March 2009 (UTC)

Legends of Wrestling Article

I don't appreciate being threatened with being banned for cleaning up a page. Did you even bother to look at what I deleted, or is simply deleting a page section, regardless of content, verboten? I deleted a segment with numerous tags for sources which had been left unsourced for nearly two years; not a single allegation in that section had a source. In addition, I cleaned up one segment which did carry a source.

In the future, please review alterations to an article before messaging the editor and laying down ultimatums.64.92.13.111 (talk) 01:06, 3 March 2009 (UTC)

Re:Tables

I just checked the linked pages and you seem to be right. I think I'll rollback my edits for now until we get this sorted out. Gavyn Sykes (talk) 03:19, 4 March 2009 (UTC)

I don't see how it makes it larger, I got 4 FLs promoted in that way and it never came up because that's how sortable tables are. Plus, I review FLC's, so I know.--RUCӨ 03:26, 4 March 2009 (UTC)
Everything in the sortable columns of that table should be linked. Just because the list is an FL does not mean that it is perfect. Dabomb87 (talk) 03:33, 4 March 2009 (UTC)
This coming from a strident opponent of overlinking in general—in sortable columns, if one only links the "first" apperance of the term, if you sort the table by other parameters, the term no longer appears first as a link. Therefore, we must link all occurences of the term. Dabomb87 (talk) 03:40, 4 March 2009 (UTC)
Exactly what my good friend DaBOMB said. Also, WP:OVERLINK states Link only the first occurrence of an item. A link that had last appeared much earlier in the article may be repeated, but generally not in the same section. (Table entries are an exception to this; each row of a table should be able to stand on its own.). Article size relatively doesn't matter in lists, unless it gets ridiculously long like "the previous version of" List of World Wrestling Entertainment alumni.--RUCӨ 03:50, 4 March 2009 (UTC)
Thats your opinion, but for an FLC to be promoted (and if it has sortable tables), this is what is expected from them.--RUCӨ 04:05, 4 March 2009 (UTC)
As for my opinion, if the list were at FLC, I wouldn't oppose over the issue (unless there were other issues) but I wouldn't support. Dabomb87 (talk) 04:23, 4 March 2009 (UTC)

Tag Team titles again

TJ, just a note to inform you that L2K has again pushed his view about Morrison and the Miz and changed it again. I reverted it and told him on the talk page that he is misinterpreting the website. !! Justa Punk !! 08:02, 4 March 2009 (UTC)

Edit to Talk:Wii

The reason I had added {{DEFAULTSORT:Wii}} to the article's talk page is so that the talk page would be properly alphabetized in categories like Category:Featured articles that have appeared on the main page. Without the defaultsort, it and a bunch of other sall appear under T for "Talk:[article name]" — Bellhalla (talk) 00:27, 27 February 2009 (UTC)

What did I do?

What was so wrong with what I did? I see no harm in my actions.

JD34 (talk) 00:45, 6 March 2009 (UTC)

Vandalism? Granted, certain things were a bit, less truthful, but it was hardly vandalism. I meant absolutely no harm. Besides, one of my edits was truthful.

JD34 (talk) 01:30, 6 March 2009 (UTC)

You know what? I'm not going to argue with you. You're already too butthurt about the truth of TNA to see clearly. And just what integrity does Wikipedia have exactly? There is no institution that I know of that accepts Wikipedia's information. Maybe if someone wanted to learn, they could get up and go to a library and read an actual encyclopedia. But God forbid we should have to go outside. I'm hopping off of my soapbox, maybe you can get off of yours too.

Okay TJ. It is has been a while since I read it. I haven't read Truco's re-write yet. My bad.--75.90.139.222 (talk) 14:24, 6 March 2009 (UTC)
