Evening Star[edit]

Hi, I reverted your change to the BR standard class 9F 92220 Evening Star article since I wasn't sure what the "double boiler" you referred to was. If you mean the Franco-Crosti boilers that were fitted to 20 of the 9Fs, then Evening Star was never fitted with one. Otherwise, could you explain your change to the article? Hi. I'm TechnoFaye and I'm writing this because you had perfectly good images you uploaded marked for deletion by Abu Bidali. You should know that he does this because he thinks it's funny; he even says so on his user page. More then 20 other editors just like us are parties to several formal complaints to Wikipedia in an effort to have him banned permanently for doing just what he did to you. Others have described him on the record as a "hoodlum" and a "vandal". My testimony was that "Bidali would be just as happy breaking antennas off cars at night". After he is gone, we can repair the damage he has done to WP. Editing Image:Mozilla-firefox-usage-data.svg[edit]

How did you edit this image with a text editor? I'd like to update it (and other SVG usage share charts), but when I right click to save it the default filename is "Image:Mozilla-firefox-usage-data.svg.png" and when I change the extension to a pure PNG, the file will not open in Inkscape and appears as gibberish in Notepad and gedit. I use Linux but I've tested it on Windows XP computers and I still can't modify it. SteveSims 02:42, 5 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Maybe you could put something like: "optimised (pngout /b0 /f5)"? It's a lot clearer to read, but also draws some more attention to PNGOUT.

Notification: changes to "Mark my edits as minor by default" preference[edit]

Hello there. This is an automated message to tell you about the gradual phasing out of the preference entitled "Mark all edits minor by default", which you currently have (or very recently had) enabled.

On 13 March 2011, this preference was hidden from the user preferences screen as part of efforts to prevent its accidental misuse (consensus discussion). This had the effect of locking users in to their existing preference, which, in your case, was true. To complete the process, your preference will automatically be changed to false in the next few days. This does not require any intervention on your part and you will still be able to manually mark your edits as being 'minor'. The only thing that's changed is that you will no longer have them marked as minor by default.

For established users such as yourself, there is a workaround available involving custom JavaScript. If you are familiar with the contents of WP:MINOR, and believe that it is still beneficial to the encyclopedia to have all your edits marked as such by default, then this discussion will give you the details you need to continue with this functionality indefinitely.
