IceHunter[edit]

If you don't want profanity on your page, then don't write things that cause people to do that. Simple really. Like Wikipedia should state "If you don't want crap written on your page, then don't write it on the pages of others" IH The preceding unsigned comment was added by IceHunter (talk • contribs) .

credentials for removing medical data from indoor air pollution article[edit]

please do not remove scientific information from a site without first discussing your rationale on the associated talk page. the material you removed is important medical information. do you have any credentials in the field of air pollution standards or technology? In the future any such unwarranted actions will be treated as vandalism and addressed accordingly. Anlace 19:47, 21 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Prod[edit]

Please do not prod articles about high schools. Prod is for uncontroversial matters and high school articles have been at the centre of the biggest controversy on votes for deletion since I don't know when. Any prodded high schools will be deprodded and there is no point in nominating them for regular deletion either as the last few hundred real high schools nominated have all survived. Thank you. Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, stop undoing my changes![edit]

Why do you keep removing all changes to the oblivion wiki? Just because I add a oblivion fansite to the resource links? Theres tons of other links in there all are too profitable websites too, mine was just a nonprofit fansite and you remove it and threaten too ban me? —This unsigned comment was added by Cyberkiller (talkcontribs) .

Prod2[edit]

Yeah, I found out about it when somebody else added it to an article that I prodded, I think. The way I see it, it's like seconding the motion for the deletion, and saying that yes, somebody else thinks this article should go. —C.Fred (talk) 20:26, 22 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Control Monger[edit]

Why was this page deleted and why is it up for deletion again! the argument was mentioned when it was deleted the first time that its not a notable game becuase its not on sites like GameSpot.com... WELL, that is a LIE!

I have listed some sites (to include gamespot) that this game is listed on and if i need to proved more to prove its notable i can.

here is the link to the post [1]

Mongo2

the new story is a completely different article. The fact is this page has been volatilized many times and removed by people that have something against the game. It IS NOTABLE and i have proved this in my post. Who do i need to talk to so i can make an article for the game? It's a shame that a few haters can control what on this site. What about games like Wolfram that are listed here and many other smaller games? should i go around and request that they be deleted as well because they do not even get as much coverage and Control Monger?

this is bull and you know it, who do i need to talk to around here to be able to make this article without people vandalizing it? —This unsigned comment was added by Mongo2 (talkcontribs) .

Hi. Past discussions are not meant to be edited, the notice on them is quite clear about that :) What you need to do in such cases is create a new blank page and fix the AFD notice to point there. In this case I've created the page Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Terminator 4 (4th nomination). Alternatively, if you use the {{afd1}} tag and you find that the link is blue because the article has been AFD'd before, you can use {{afdx}} instead. Hope that helps. --kingboyk 14:23, 24 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Oblivion[edit]

Listen, something has to be added concerning the fact that the pre-release hype was etrememly misleading for the Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. Numerous fans have complained about the draw distances, Radiant AI, dialogue, the UI, and more. The Wiki article only states that reviewers gave it extremely high scores. If they really did receive their copy weeks in advance (as opposed to the two biggest gaming sites online, IGN and Gamespot, who only recently acquired their copies), which it quite skeptical in this case especially with a company like Bethesda, then they were outright lying.

Do you personally work for any of these magazines? Do you know for certain if they received their copies "weeks" in advance (which would mean they received their copies before the game even went gold)? I can't say for certain if they did receive their copies before the game went gold or not, but knowing that IGN and Gamespot only recently got theirs is something to consider. You also have to consider the fact that IGNs first impressions upon receiving the title weren't estatic, and they also tie well into how the game has been received by fans.

So, the conclusion is either the magazines reviews were based entirely on quick first impressions, they didn't have the guts to tell their readers this title that they have waited so long for fell well short of expectations, or they were paid off by Bethesda. The last point is rather absurd, so you see where I'm leaning on this.

It may be my personal bias, a little (then again, you're also showing bias by not including the negative aspects), but it's more for a case against bad journalism and bad information.

Speedy deletion[edit]

Regarding the article Spider-Man 4, which you tagged for speedy deletion with the reason "It is reposted content that was removed in accordance with Wikipedia's deletion policy. (CSD G4)", I wanted you to know that I have removed the speedy deletion tag. This article does not qualify for speedy deletion because while the content is reposted, it has never gone through AFD, only PROD, and previous versions that were speedied were one-line articles. If you still want the article to be deleted, please use the WP:AFD process. Thanks! Stifle 18:20, 6 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Video game release dates[edit]

Hi, I think you were the one who added the release dates to the Current CVG article a while ago. I was wondering what you used as a source, since I'm going to be updating the page again. Cheers, jacoplane 09:27, 7 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

PC Crub[edit]

I created this article and the "deletion" notice should not be there, so I removed it. Unless you have something productive to add to a Wikipedia article you did NOT start, please do not {{prod}} my pages. I try to word my articles to be as factual and unbiased as possible, and as an employee at the headquarters of this company, I am qualified to clarify this frequently occurring misunderstanding. Thanks.

Shared IP[edit]

I recently logged onto Wikipedia, and received a message from you that basically asked me to stop vandalizing. There were distinct warnings in the message; so obviously, in your opinion, I've done something wrong. The problem is I have no clue what it could have been. I enjoy Wikipedia very much, and I certainly wouldn't want to look like a villian here. If possible, could you please let me know what I may have done that was "against the rules?" Thank you kindly. Again, I'm not trying to start an argument. I truly am curious what I may have done to offend anyone so I will not make the same mistake again (137.1.212.12 07:01, 11 April 2006 (UTC)).[reply]

Speedy deletion 2[edit]

I noticed that you tagged the page Traditional economic thought in China for speedy deletion with the reason "First created under the article Create an entry, moved here. Duplicate article already exists at Righteousness or Benefits-Tradition Economic Thought in China.". However, "First created under the article Create an entry, moved here. Duplicate article already exists at Righteousness or Benefits-Tradition Economic Thought in China." is not currently one of our criteria for speedy deletion, so I have removed the speedy deletion tag. You can use Wikipedia:Articles for deletion if you still want the article to be deleted. Thanks! Stifle (talk) 15:56, 11 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'm thinking there should be a speedy tag for duplicate articles. :p The reason I placed a tag on Traditional economic thought in China is because it's a direct copy and paste of Righteousness or Benefits-Tradition Economic Thought in China. The first article was originally created under the name Create an entry. Should we just redirect one to the other? What about the redirection of Create an entry to Traditional economic thought in China? --TheKoG (talk|contribs) 16:08, 11 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I've deleted Create an entry, and I'm going to mark that it shouldn't be recreated. Feel free to replace a duplicate article with a redirect to the other one at any time. Stifle (talk) 16:12, 11 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Bakhteiarov's identity[edit]

Dear TheKoG,

Certificate authority is used to prove the identity of a person on Internet.
Why do you call the Certificate authority nonsense?
In what way can I prove my identity then, on your opinion?

--Bakhteiarov 13:35, 24 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'm pretty sure this isn't the place to post that certificate. You should bring it up with whomever is concerned with it on their own talk page. This page is used to come up with reasons why the article in question should be deleted or not. Other types of discussion need to go somewhere else. --TheKoG (talk|contribs) 13:38, 24 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Dear TheKoG,
There is a question about my identity on THIS page, I know only one way to prove my identity on the Net, - Certificate authority.
You did call it nonsense in your deletion comment.
My original question to You was, - how can I prove my identity without using Certificate authority?
And you did not answer this yet.
Please, do, othewise I do not see a way how to proceed.
--Bakhteiarov 13:46, 24 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Dear TheKoG,

I am still waiting for your answer. If you call something nonsense, you have to show the other way, which does make sense, otherwise you should not do that.

--Bakhteiarov 11:51, 25 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, I am satisfied, please, just do not delete things you have no idea about next time.
Even if it does not make sense to you.

Thanks for backing me up in your edit summary: Revert, there's nothing POV about User:IanManka's edits. Avoiding redirects is always a good idea.

I don't know what Ace Class Shadow is complaining about. As I have discussed with him here and here, I feel that avoiding a redirect is a necessary edit, as it maintains the prose of the article: I feel the need to change both to one format. Since another user changed the link, I changed it so that it reflected a consistent prose. What is your opinion on this matter? — Ian Manka Talk to me‼ 20:39, 3 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
