Solar panel and reverts[edit]

A revert is simple. Go to the article history, click on a version that predates the vandalism ( or well meaning but usless edits), and it pops up - click on "edit" and see the scary message that says all changes since that date will be removed. This is *precisely* the point of a revert. Reverting vandalism here is like playing Whac-A-Mole but gives you the illusion that you are contributing something meaningful to the project. I often revert vandalism when I'm too tired to actually contribute something new. --Wtshymanski (talk) 21:26, 21 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

OK thank you! I haven't been around that long and am still learning the ropes. (Btw - lovely analogy there with Whac a Mole.)The Fiddly Leprechaun (talk) 21:32, 21 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Napoleon[edit]

Napoleonic Empire Paint[edit]

Thanks, I added Norway.-Kieran4 (talk) 00:42, 29 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Also, if you didn't notice, I gave you a date for Napoleon's restablishment of slavery on the talk page.-Kieran4 (talk) 00:47, 29 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Yea, I saw the date - thanks! User:Tpbradbury added it in and restructured the section before I could get to it. Glad I could help with the map. Cheers, The Fiddly Leprechaun · Catch Me! 15:54, 30 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

"Kingdom: incertae sedis". That's beautiful. And a good way to shut down for the night. :) kwami (talk) 12:01, 31 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Glad you like it—I thought it was appropriate, as a leprechaun, being magical, doesn't fit into any of the more mundane categories:) It'll go on my user page someday when I'm done. –The Fiddly Leprechaun · Catch Me! 21:06, 31 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Fiddly, thank you for taking the time to comment on WT:Notability_(fiction)#Final_adoption_as_a_guideline. I am glad you see how important this guideline will be, since it will determine the inclusion or exclusion of television character and television episodes. Have a great weekend. Hallo.[edit]

Thanks for signing. ;) Glad you like my userpage, though I'm curious, how'd you "find it," considering I've been rather inactive recently? Cheers, · AndonicO Engage. 21:03, 9 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Haha, I'm not sure how. I believe there was a link from someone else's user page, and I was randomly browsing around looking for something, though I don't remember what now. I do like the pictures and design - hope you won't mind if I snitch a few bits of it for my own very-slowly-progressing userpage design. Also, the Title page with the quote from the Bard is brilliant:) –The Fiddly Leprechaun · Catch Me! 00:49, 17 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
"Also, feel free to edit this page, or to copy content from it." ;) I "stole" most of my designs from other people, so feel free to copy anything you'd like. Good luck... · AndonicO Engage. 02:47, 17 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Middle-earth character infoboxes[edit]

Hi there. You're signed up as a member of Wikiproject Middle-earth. There's a discussion on character infoboxes going on here. It's heading towards a fairly inconclusive 'no change' at present. If you're interested please express your views (for or against the proposal, or an alternative) at the WP:M-E talkpage. Cheers. 4u1e (talk) 20:44, 7 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Ondine[edit]

Important! - Round up what few ballet enthusiasts you know on Wikipedia and get them to vote on the proposed merging of the Ondine articles that would see the article about Frederick Ashton's production of the actual ballet, being merged into one about the music.

See here: - Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Classical_music#Straw_Poll

And please vote to oppose this change, as this music would not have been written had it not been for Ashton's ballet!!!

Thank You

Hello, I note that you have commented on the first phase of Wikipedia:Requests for comment/Biographies of living people

As this RFC closes, there are two proposals being considered:

  1. Proposal to Close This RfC
  2. Alternate proposal to close this RFC: we don't need a whole new layer of bureaucracy

Your opinion on this is welcome. Okip 03:30, 24 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. New deal for page patrollers[edit]

Hi The Fiddly Leprechaun,

In order to better control the quality of new pages, keep out the spam, and welcome the genuine newbies, the current system we introduced in 2011 is being updated and improved. The documentation and tutorials have also been revised and given a facelift. Most importantly a new user group New Page Reviewer has been created.

Under the new rule, you may find that you are temporarily unable to mark new pages as reviewed. However, this is nothing to worry about - most current experienced patrollers are being accorded the the new right without the need to apply, and if you have significant previous experience of patrolling new pages, we strongly encourage you to apply for the new right as soon as possible - we need all the help we can get, and we are now providing a dynamic, supportive environment for your work.

Find out more about this exiting new user right now at New Page Reviewers and be sure to read the new tutorial before applying. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 04:29, 13 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
