Since we do not yet have verification of permission by the processes set out above, the article has been deleted. This deletion is not necessarily permanent. If you have already sent a letter to the Wikimedia Foundation permitting re-use under the GFDL, the article will be restored when that letter is received and processed by the Communications Committee. Likewise, if you have not yet sent a letter, you may certainly do so at any point, and the article will be restored when that letter is received and processed.
As Wikipedia does not require proof of identity on account creation, it is essential that we receive external proof of authorization in order to ensure that we remain compliant with US Copyright law. It is also essential that we verify that copyright holders understand the extent of the release they are authorizing, in that GNU Free documentation license permits modification and reuse in any forum, even commercial publication, as long as authorship credit is maintained.

Thank you for your note on my talk page. I have done a bit of work to the article and added the article to article space at The Tuscan Sun Festival.
I'm sorry for the difficulties you encountered placing contributing this material to Wikipedia. I do not have access to any communications you may have sent the communications committee or any responses they may have sent you; for privacy reasons, access to these is strictly controlled. From what you say at my talk page, it seems that the volunteer who responded to you may have wanted you to proactively address some of the concerns related to notability. This was undoubtedly good advice. While a quick searching verifies to me easily that this festival meets our notability guidelines, without indication of that in the article's body, it may have been mistaken deleted under notability concerns. Unfortunately, a lot of inappropriate material is placed on Wikipedia, and though we try to guard against that, good material is sometimes accidentally removed.
From what you say, it sounds as though your correspondent suggested adding secondary sources. I have gone and ahead and done this. What he was probably meaning to indicate is that Wikipedia's articles are based on what we term "reliable sources"—essentially such things as newspaper articles, journal references, reputable websites that are not connected to the subject. I've easily located 9 or 10 such sources and added them to the article. After an hour or so of research, I don't doubt I could have found twice that number.
I did have to tone down some of the language to meet our neutrality policy. We have to be very careful to avoid any language that seems promotional. If The International Herald-Tribune, for example, wrote that "the festival attracts the highest level of international soloists", we could say so with a source. Otherwise, we cannot pass quality judgment on the performers even if it seems perfectly obvious. Our main purpose here is to reflect what other sources say. :)
